This is honestly the best burger I’ve ever had. I get the Baja burger with Cajun fries and spicy ketchup. Oh and I get a side of bbq to dip my burger in. I wish they weren’t closed on Sunday’s though so I could go everyday.

Kids really enjoyed their burgers. They were exactly how the kids ordered them. Baja burger was it! I ordered extra jalapenos on my burger. I highly recommend this place. Oh yeah, they closed at 8PM; however, we walked in at 8:07 and they took us in and our order! Our first time here but not our last!

My sister and I came upon Jax on a fluke and having a craving for a good burger, decided to try this out! We had to take a few moments to look over the menu and weren’t rushed to get our order taken. I opted for the Guac Burger with chili cheese fries and my sister chose the Mushroom and Swiss burger with regular fries. In terms of price, I expected it to be within the range it was so honestly, I didn’t feel I overpaid for my meal. Made to order, these burgers were AMAZING! The buns had a different texture and taste and my burger was so juicy but thankfully the juices didn’t transfer to the bun to get it soggy. Speaking of soggy, my fries didn’t get soggy at all with the loaded chili and cheese on top of them, which was a dream come true! Even with the amount of conversation and pauses in between eating and coming back, the temperature was still hot and the fries not soggy. I’m surprised by the negative reviews, especially about service, as I wasn’t expecting a waitstaff to refill or do anything besides take my order. If you don’t come in here with high expectations or treat people as such, I’m sure you’ll be in for an unexpected surprise as I was. I definitely will return to try their shakes, as Prince’s on 59S has closed and that was the only place that had good shakes IMO. 5 stars and will return!

Their burgers are pretty darn good. While not the best burgers I’ve ever had, their service is some of the best I’ve had. Their staff is professional and courteous which makes the dining experience that much more enjoyable.

This is one of the best burgers I have had in years! Juicy and cooked to perfection. Very good size and good price for the size! I will be a regular. Give it 4 stars out of 5!

Best burgers and fries ever! Liking for a real handmade Burger cooked on a flat grill, they have it in spades here. Huge bun to match the ample burgers. It’s a cheese burger in paradise for sure. Try the different types of fries, my ATF are the Cajun but the chili cheese fries deserve a second place prize. Creamy thick shakes to wash it all down, all that’s missing is a car hop on skates serving you!

Pass by this place a lot on my way to shop at Kroger or pick up a to-go order at wingstop. Decided to check this place out one afternoon. I ordered the Baja burger. Took about 10 mins for burger to be made and I left on my way home. So, finally home. Bust open the brown bag to see the burger inside a clear container. Kind of weird, but whatever. Pop the lid, yanked out the burger for a bite. Mmm mmm mmm. Burger was flavorful! The crispy bacon game was proper and the grilled jalapeño gave it an extra kick. Not to mention the burger was big as hell.(Probably ½lb) Only downside is just burger by itself cost over 8 bucks. That’s without any extra sides or a drink. Pretty expensive if you are a family of 4+. This will probably be one of my sneak out by myself cause everyone already ate type places to visit. Lol

Soggy fries, fake cheese and chili from a can. The prices are outrageous, and the food is sub par. I defy a real restaurant to call the crud you pump out of a can«cheese.» It was just a runny pile of artificially flavored«cheese food product.» Yuck. I wish there was something less than one star.

Finally a place where you can get a burger that’s worth the cost. These burgers are made to order. The location is next to a kroger supermarket. I couldn’t find it at first. The place is small but it doesn’t strike me as a place where a lot of people dine in. The burger I had was awesome, hot, big paddy, great bun. The fries were big and delicious and they offer both regular and spicy ketchup. Worth coming down to try.

Food ordered: Two cheeseburgers(one custom and one all the way), garlic fries, buffalo fries. The restaurant is small, so probably not good for a group bigger than 8. They also had chicken sandwiches and hot dogs on the menu. The burgers were excellent and made to order. The buns are big and compliment the meat.(10⁄10) I really wanted to love the fries, but unfortunately both kinds of fries were doused and turned soft and soggy. I was expecting a dry seasoning on the garlic fries, but instead got fries drenched in oil with minced garlic on it. Don’t get my wrong, they were good and extremely garlicy, but couldn’t get over the sogginess. Same with the buffalo fries. Perhaps a drizzle topping instead of tossing the fries in sauce would work better.(5⁄10). We’ll definitely be back, and will get different fries.

Solid burger joint. Prices are similar to Fuddruckers and they’re made to order as well. It took less than 10 minutes for the food to be ready. The buns look big but are actually quite soft, which balances with the meat patty without being overwhelming. I got the jax burger – lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion sans the mustard – so I got to really taste the flavor of the meat and it’s good. Fries were delicious too, and they offer anything from regular fries to garlic and chili cheese fries. The only downside is they close on Sundays.

Me and my girl are always in search of a delicious burger… and well after much anticipation we finally walked into JAX and we were not let down. A little greasy but thick patties and good portions of toppings filled our bellies and made us smile. They did not shy on the butter when it came to sautéed mushrooms and their signature toasted bun, which is a good thing… in the best way. We really over indulged and ordered chili cheese fries. Crispy golden brown potatoes smothered in a rich chili and coated with nacho cheese… we both were transported back in time to our old high school football game days and the stadium concession stands offered similar guilty pleasures. It’s inevitable, we will be back!

I wrote a great review for the JAX in Shadow Creek but unfortunately this location is bland compared the original location literally. I had the mushroom burger and garlic fries. The burger was well cooked and the toppings were good but the taste wasn’t there. I couldn’t figure it out but then we realized none of our burgers had any salt or seasoning in it. Well this would have been fine if the meat had any taste which it really didn’t. The garlic fries were soggy and boring. What happened to the garlic fries that had garlic and parmesan on them? Can’t decide on 1 or 2 stars but since I’ll never go back, two stars for not being able to get a simple burger right.

When you walk in the door there is this strange musty smell. It was a bit of a turnoff. After we looked at the menu and then headed over to the register to order, the young guy behind the counter was staring at his smart phone and it was a good while before he even looked up and acknowledged us. I had the shroom burger and it was really quite good. The buffalo fries… way too soggy and they really should come with bleu cheese on top. He had the Baja burger and it was very dry. The onion rings were excellent. This place was okay, but I can’t really say it’s a restaurant we’ll be going to again. For the same price we could have eaten at Red Robin.

I didn’t know about this location until recently when I was browsing reviews on Unilocal(thanks guys). I’ve had this place bookmarked for over a year, and just never got around to going. This location is so much closer to me than the Shadow Creek restaurant, so I figured I should give it a try. I placed a to-go order over the phone. I ordered the Jax with cheese and an order of garlic fries. The total was $ 9.15 and I was told the order would be ready in 10 minutes. The lady who took my call was very nice and professional. My first thought when I hung up the phone was the price. I know some of the reviews mentioned the price, but I had forgotten how expensive it is. The online menu does not have prices listed. When I got there to pick up the food, the place was nearly empty. My food was ready though so that was good. I did make note of the number of tables in the restaurant. It does seem very crowded, so I can see how this might be a problem during peak hours. The first thing that I was impressed with is the containers that they put the food in. Instead of wrapping it in paper, the burger and fries were in separate plastic containers. I was worried that the grease would soak through the bag, but it didn’t because of the containers. The burger was pretty big(½ lb I’m guessing). The bread is really soft, which was nice, but some parts of it were soggy(I think from the moisture inside the plastic container). The garlic fries were okay. Flavor wise, they were good, but they were the thick cut, soft fries. I prefer skinny crunchy fries. But it had actual pieces of garlic on it, so that was good. The burger was pretty good, but for me, it’s not better than Smashburger. A few negatives: This place is in the Kroger shopping area so it’s hard to see from Broadway. There’s also not a drive-thru. I noticed that the burgers come in one size. I didn’t see an option to create your own burger(not to compare to Smashburger again, but I love the amount of ingredients they have for the make your burger option). Because of the price, I don’t see myself coming here that often, but the food is pretty good. I’d recommend it if you’re looking to try a new place.

my party of three tried out Jax on Broadway(Saturday eve). I had read Unilocal reviews prior so I expected the place to be small and cramped. ITWAS. Lots of tables and bistro tables in one small business. You have to scoot around people to get to the drink station and move your chairs for people to get by you to sit down. I’m sure they just want to accommodate everyone but it really doesn’t help to cram everyone in like sardines. Oh and the restroom is for one person at a time. Not cool. THATASIDE — the food was delicious. We had the Baja burgers, Cajun fries and sweet potato fries. The burger was large and juicy. Fries had great texture and flavor. A bit pricey for a burger and fries but over all we were very satisfied with the food. I would try it again.

Pearland got a new Jax Burger location and we decided to give it a shot since we had liked previous visits to the first one, though it’s been a while. This location, found in the Kroger strip mall, is a bit snug when things get busy but is clean and has lots of tables. To order, just review the big board, step up to the counter and have at it. If you’re in the mood to take out, you can also call in your order ahead of time. I went with the Baja Burger and the Garlic Fries. The burger, as most of the options are, is big, juicy, and delicious. The Baja is loaded with jalapeños and has a few strips of bacon and cheese. It was pretty good but, and this pains me to say, the bacon was the worst part of the burger since it was of the thick and non-crisp variety. The fries were doused with actual chopped garlic, instead of a garlic powder or salt, and we’re alright. The spicy ketchup is awesome. 3.4 stars. Pretty good. Just a few slices of crisp bacon away from great.
