Taco Cabana

We visited this establishment last night. We saw a line of cars at the drive through so decided to go in. We placed our order and went to fill our drink cups but there was no ice in the machine so had to go back to the counter to get ice. We were given maybe ¹⁄₃ of a cup of ice. We went to find a place to sit. The inside had maybe 3 other families/​individuals there. There was no clean table available. As we got to looking around, the floor was filthy with food debris all over. The drink station had puddles of water, slipping hazard. The Salsa Bar looked like it hadn’t seen any attention in hours. If we hadn’t already paid for our food, we would have walked. We waited 25 minutes for our food to arrive. It was bland, tasteless. I’ve been to other Taco Cabanas and really liked the food and the restaurant. This one is an absolute No-​No. Where is the management that would allow a filthy, uncared for restaurant?

I ordered the red tortilla enchiladas and 6pc chicken taquitos. The taquitos were the only thing acceptable– thanks to the queso and salsa. Omg the enchiladas were so HARD my fork couldn’t cut through them and a knife barely helped. I dont feel you should need a knife when eating enchiladas. I was forced to exchange them for tacos, that were okay. Along with my meal I had a margarita, that had little black particles from the machine sprinkled on the top. I asked for another and got the same result. Won’t be returning anytime soon. Saddest part, the manager was standing over the workers shoulder the entire time and they still fucked up.

I really wish I could give negative stars. Wanted enchiladas… they were out of enchiladas. We ordered 6 hard beef tacos… one soft taco. Got 4 hard tacos… one soft taco. I also ordered plates, which come with rice and beans. The girl was nice enough to accommodate me on that one. She got my one star for this place. Someone else should get an opportunity at this franchise location. It is the most poorly run Taco Cabana I have ever been to. I’ll go a step further, it has to be the most poorly run fast food establishment I have been to.

One of the worst taco cabanas I’ve ever been to. Not only was the service slow; but when I asked for enchiladas, they said they were out of them along with three or four other menu items. Then when I got to the window they were out of dulce for the sopapillas, which were drenched in cinnamon and inedible. Very unacceptable, avoid this location.

Every time I come here they forget something. Tonight I wait 20 min couldn’t even get anyone to the window I give up. Carl jr has a great crew and there nice.

I have always been a fan of Taco Cabana. I like the fact that they make their own tortillas in house through this cool machine that can easily be seen by customers! Heck, I fell in love with the Cabana Bowls when I first discovered them about 5 years ago!
I like the fact that when you dine– in you get to fill up as much as you want, the different types of salsas and sauces! Their creamy salsa is my favorite!
The family meals are pretty good. You can get the ½ — 1lb chicken or beef fajitas. The meal comes with home made tortillas (which i think are the best) rice, frito beans, and veggies. All for a pretty reasonable price.
My go-​to order is the Cabana Bowls and the Large quesadillas! It’s soo goood.
With that being said… on to the bad part.
This location, however. is slowly loosing it’s appeal. The service is very very very slow. and the workers don’t seem to mind going at a snails pace. I once was waiting for over 25 minutes with about 6 to 8 other waiting with me! They either need to hire more staff or move more efficiently. They could also keep the place a bit cleaner! when it comes to food places, being clean should be it’s top priority! The floors are a bit sticky, the tables need to be wiped down more often, and the salsa bar needs to be meticulously looked upon. It looks pretty disgusting when different salsas are spilled all over the place. and mixed in with others!
When i need a fast food Mexican fix and can’t get to me beloved Chipotle or Freebirds… Taco Cabana would be my 3^rd choice.

The food is like any other Taco Cabana. However, the service is the slowest that I have ever encountered (especially drive through). I don’t know if it is poorly trained staff or inadequate number of staff. Unfortunately, there are no other options in Pearland for Mexican drive through. Average wait time in drive through lane is 20 minutes with about 3 cars in front of me.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is by far the worst taco cabana service … And it’s not only once or twice… It’s every time I come here… I finally have broke down to write a bad review. Also the bathrooms are never clean nor is the salsa bar filled up when we actually dined inside. Oh and ALL the employees seem to hate their job… Such a sad story. … So I am editing my review… It’s 2 months later. Another crew works here and they are not organized 4 different people had orders wrong while I waited 20 min to get 2 tacos. Smh

Why, every time I come here, do my quesadillas look as though they were prepared by a blind folded 5^th grader? Every time I decide to gamble and give this location another shot, my food is half-​cooked, soggy, and literally thrown sideways into whatever to-​go container they found. I’m tired of having to go home, put my food back together, and fully cook it until it actually resembles what I ordered. Word of advice to anyone who was thinking of eating here: the 20 min drive to ANY other Taco Cabana will be worth it.

Worst taco cabana I have ever been to. No sense of urgency and hangryy people beware takes at least 30−40minutes for the drive thru. Also, double check your order as 90% of the time they forget a part of your order. If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT go here. For me to come back here they would have to have a whole new staff. Cleanliness here is non existent.

Got street taco combo. Rice was not cooked all the way it was hard and crunchy. Tacos were WAYYYY to salty. I gave them a 20 $ and the rest on my card they charged my card first. had to get that fixed.
you get what you pay for. tried to give them another chance but won’t be going back.

It’s before 9 pm on a Thursday night and we decided to stop off at this awful Taco Cabana. While waiting inside on our food we noticed the trash was over flowing in the back where they were preparing the food. I stood there and watched the worker that was cutting up the fajita meat pushed down the trash with his hands. He didn’t change gloves just went back to handling the meat after putting his hand in the trash. We canceled our order and left immediately. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND PASS THIS PLACE UP.

First, they honor military discounts. Businesses that do this, are always appreciated.
Second, there are certain things I can eat. Taco Cabana food can be modified and still enjoy their food. I cannot eat breads or sugars for now (getting healthier). I was able to eat the steak fajitas. I ordered the plate and Sabit (sp?), was very kind to help modify my food. I had romaine lettuce and tomatoes with the steak fajitas. Healthy and nutritious for me to eat.
A big thank you for this!!! Did I want the delicious other Mexican dishes??? Absolutely! Lol!!! However, it is not nutritious for me and will not keep me on the healthy food intake.

Good price really clean food is OK but fajita is tuff and fatty. Good location nice staff. I will order chicken next time. Most of the stuff I’ve had is good.

Wow, this place is crazy. Employees yelling and swearing at each other in front of customers. Mind-​boggling. Avoid this place!

I asked for a taco combo with barbacoa on corn. I work one minute away. The corn tortillas were soaking wet and the meat was less than warm. The other taco I ordered was potato egg and bacon. The egg was way less than warm. The coffee was cold. This is almost every time I step in the olace for a to go order. If you walk in to sit, it takes 20 – 30 minutes ince your order is served. The manager should be held responsible because it is a culture at this location to get everything wrong and take your time. It’s very clear the staff doesn’t care about the community.

Not perfect, but it is what it is. Service was pretty quick and food tasted well for what I paid. Queso is really good. Wished one of these would put in at Lake Jackson. Need fast Mexican food other than Taco Bell. LOL

Takes forever. I’ve given them so many chances and so many times my food has been wrong. I’ve been stuck in the drive thru for 20 min once and couldn’t get out. Made me late for work. The place is dirty. Reported them to the city and would never go there again.

I love to go here and get bean & cheese tacos my favorite but haven’t been in about 6 months to this location since its closer… every time i went i would tell them fresh tortillas please and there response is «THERE ALWAYS FRESH» and my response was «NO THERE NOT»!!
My husband & i went one day to sit in the dining room and it was so messy and no clean tables i had to tell them to clean some tables it was ridiculous!

One of the worst chicken fajita cabana bowls ever! The shell was busted up soon as I open the container. The chicken was old as hell and over cooked. Chicken was so black I thought they gave steak instead. If it was closer to my house i would have took it back. Never again will I visit this location.
