Almost 100% of one’s experience in Pebble Beach and Golf Links is truly traffic. Pebble Beach is what one would expect: a kind of a paradise nestled within the trees. The views never disappoint, with a brilliant sunshine, fog, or dusk. The natural beauty is nothing short of spectacular. And then there is the less than excellent experience at Pebble Beach: they hire too much local staff with poor manners, lesser decorum, and even lesser polish, This is the flaw. Well it may be inexpensive to hire local and an educated service personnel, it’s also very expensive to put up with the lumpen and insouciant behavior of the lowest of them. This is not directed at the quiet, humble population that serves with professional excellence. However, It’s uncomfortable to spend time at either the lodge or Spanish Bay or any and all the different golf related businesses; instead of Pebble Beach having an expansive international feel, these less than impeccable employees turn the Pebble Beach corporation into small town, gossipy, low level, trashy, ordinary, common, and unfortunately expected element of surrounding Monterey-Seaside Marina. Salinas. Allowing this less than elegant element to be a part of the exquisite and world-class populace takes the patron(or the travelers) expected experience of the finest, and reduces it to encounter with employees who might be better served working at a grocery store, deli, or gas station. One does not intend to spend time and money within the Pebble Beach community only to put up with the nonsense of the exceptionally low expectations that come out of the Monterey school system. When economic and political experts discuss the many difficulties in America, it’s very clear to see by watching a round of golf, having a meal, or simply entering the guarded-gates of one of the most exclusive places in the world, to discover how very ordinary it can be as «the race to the bottom» becomes some of the worst customer service available. The staff ought not to be able to use the basic facilities as their discounted version of their make-believe lives(to troll amongst those who have built wealth, built industries, and was earned the ability to afforded the very luxuries offered at Pebble Beach. If their own employees had to pay the same prices as the visitors they would surely not spend dime of their hard earned dollars trying to mingle amongst those of a different station in life. Probably the worst thing we’ve overheard was front desk personnel at the lodge boasting about their ability to overcharge some guests simply because they felt they could: a kind of economic bullying as something they couldn’t afford to do themselves. On the whole double beach is run exceptionally, exceptionally well. However, like anything else it’s when that small element becomes the sore, the overreaching, the surprisingly risky and improper personnel – willing to put the Pebble Beach Company at risk, because their own personal improprieties are more important than reading what is likely in their handbook. The worst thing that happens in a business is that the employees get so comfortable that they believe they are the client. Somewhere in they’re mixed up sense of entitlement(which they haven’t earned) allows the role of «who» is the product and«who» is the customer gets mixed up. Increasingly Pebble Beach employees seem to be very cavalier and assume great responsibility for what is not theirs. Perhaps too much time on Facebook, twitter, Instagram, or too much time not paying attention to why they were hired to begin with: hospitality. The only thing worse than nouveau riche is a person who doesn’t even know what nouveaux riches is, and behaves as though they are personal shopping at Neiman Marcus. If one is going to shop at Neiman Marcus, one had better be able to afford to purchase something in the Christmas catalog, and that goes with all luxury Rob Report products. M Thank goodness Fifth Avenue, Rodeo Drive, Aspen, Telluride, and many international places around the world have not fallen prey to becoming common in a luxury environment.

Évaluation du lieu : 1 Pebble Beach, CA
I am a resident of Pebble Beach. I have lived here for 13 years. My wife’s family have been here for 3 generations. I was very pleased to not have a municipal government to micromanage my life, and the Co., being a private entity, had better things to do. In recent years, the roads have not been maintained well, but everyone is belt-tightening these days. So, I was happy. Until now. The Pebble Beach Company has recently cut down 6700 mature Monterey pines and coastal oaks in the pursuit of money. They hammered out an agreement with the Coastal Commission and we were told it was the«final» build-out. But now they are pulling a fast one. Guess what? It’s NOT final at all! Our County Supervisor, Dave Potter, and PBC’s Mark Stilwell came up with a secret back-room deal that is a bait-and-switch. This has been brought to the attention of the Coastal Commission, but we are told the statute of limitations has run out on so-called«piecemealing» of the project. PBC promotes an image of being«green» by using compostable utensils at events and not doing as much laundry for guests, but in reality they are about as far from«green» as it gets. I call bulls***. Hired me, then 3 hours later after the champagne had set in called me back and said the there was a hiring seize. Umm. okay. Fine. And you own 17 mile drive. Fine. Whatever. Pebble is aging, Spanish Bay is too conferency, and Casa Palmero is pretty good. Solid, industry respected resort. Enjoy. There are a lot of boutique places that might be better for you, but if this is some corporate or group getaway… don’t hesitate to enjoy!
