Came here to eat dinner with the family on my last night in Florida and man I have to say this place was great. There was 8 of us and we got in pretty fast. Not only that the food came out very fast. I had a steak from them and have to admit the steak was very good with the white rice. Also had a side of tostones. It was very good. I definitely recommend this place. Will be coming back

Very disappointed with this place regarding service. First the place is very appealing I must say. Went there with a friend of mine we were so excited as they had mentioned they had mojitos for $ 8.00 but in reality they were over priced for $ 10.11. We gave the waiter our order. After about 20 minutes she comes back telling us the kitchen was closed I asked her were is the order we gave you? She replied; sorry I never put the order thru What is that? Really? It was not like the place was packed with customers. I am so disappointed I will not go back.

Slow service, bland food and expensive. Want Cuban food in Pines? Better go to Latin American grill, it’s fast cheap and delicious.

Love this place, it’s great for birthdays! The band and the way they bring you out a lil cake with a big firecracker looking candle is awesome. They also took a pic of us and printed it and gave it to my mom, what attention to detail! The food is good but not spectacular, although everything I’ve ever had was good(my grandmother and bf both had entrees they felt were good but could be better elsewhere). I recently had the Cuban fried rice from the seasonal menu and enjoyed it a lot. Their seasonal menu is great, and I def recommend you try it. Classics like tamal en cazuela and fufu are redesigned but retain their Cuban flare and taste amazing. Our server Alain was on point and funny, and to me it helps that all the staff is Cuban because you get that authentic feel. My glass of water never went empty, the service was great. Now I did hear this place was shuttered due to violations of the health code earlier this year… if everything was resolved and they got their act together, I’m happy and it doesn’t change my opinion of the place. *thumbs up*

The food was delicious, the service was great and live music had me dancing in my seat. This place has authentic Cuban food, with a gourmet flare. The waiter took a picture of all of us and gifted my mom a picture in a frame for her birthday! It was a really great experience! I would highly recommend this place.

I’m on vacation visiting home, so the family n I kinda ran into this place(haven’t heard about it) so I looked it up here. Got mixed reviews, so we decided to try it. The atmosphere was amazing, the music was great… The service could have been better; we waited a good amount of time to get served… But once we ordered the drinks and food came out quick n tasty! But once again when we wanted the check, it took forever… Overall a great pace to eat

This place has more going for the location and décor, than for the actual food. The food here is no different in quality and taste than most Latin American restaurants or La Carreta only that you will pay double for it. Don’t get me wrong, the taste of the food was good and I had no problem enjoying it, but you will pay premium price because of the location. One thing I enjoyed very much and what you won’t find in those other restaurants mentioned was the décor and a very good live band playing. The musicians were good and the singer had a really nice voice. It set a good mood for our dinner. The drinks from the bar were not good and definitely a waste of money. The Mojito, which the server swore was their specialty, was probably one of the worst I’ve ever had. There was barely any fizzle, almost no sugar, and the mint was barely muddled. Overall, just ok. If I was back in this area and had the choice to pick where to eat, I hardly doubt that this would be it.

Havana 1957 has great Cuban food. They have a 1950’s car parked out front drawing customers in for their wonderful cuisine and really great happy hour prices. I love Cuban food to start with, add a great happy hour and you have a winning combination. I’m quite impressed with the quality of Havana 1957. The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The shopping center is a little difficult to park in because of the popularity of the center. It’s a great place to shop. I’ve been there many times. It’s a beautiful restaurant and a wonderful place to visit for happy hour or a full meal.

We came for an early lunch on a Saturday. We started off with the Melonjito! One of the best drinks I’ve had in my life. After one I was feeling a little happy. Then I had the Ropa Vieja, rice and beans with sweet plantains. All of it was delicious. Nothing to take home. The portion sizes were great. I will definitely be back.

I had been eyeing this place for a while since it’s so close to my house. It was a 30 minute wait on a Friday night, which wasn’t a big deal. The seating was very comfortable but the service was SOSLOW! My tamale tasted like the microwaved tamales I have at home. My piña colada was OK. I had to hurry to finish it so I could order another drink since I was tired and wanted to get out of there and the bar was taking 10 – 15 minutes to get my drinks out. The plantain chips they serve are good. My sister got food poisoning from some beef chunks appetizer she had, and that’s the main reason I won’t be coming back.

Finally… An AUTHENTIC Cuban restaurant. I just came home from having girls night/happy hour with some friends at Havana 1957 and wow, I couldn’t wait to come home and rave about how much I really LOVE this place. First off, let me start by saying that I am Cuban American so I was born spoiled by my mom’s amazing home cooked Cuban meals… Because of this, I’m very picky and a bit of a snob when it comes to Cuban restaurants. I have been disappointed in the past when people rave about places and then I go and it’s mediocre at best. From the moment I walked in, I loved the friendly staff, the AWESOME décor(very authentic), and the fun Spanish music– really makes you feel like you’re there to unwind and have a good time. We came during happy hour so the mojitos were only $ 5(their usual price is $ 10.95!!). I tried the passion fruit one and the peach one. You must try the passion fruit mojito, so refreshing! Plus, the complimentary plantain chips(mariquitas) were delicious, of course. Now… Let me tell you about one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. The vaca frita is drool-worthy and I know I’ll be craving it a few days from now. Soooooooo flavorful and just full of naranja agria(sour orange) and garlic. I got it with black beans and maduros and I couldn’t stop telling my friends how amazed I was by how perfect it was. I’ll say it again, GETTHEVACAFRITA!!! Oh, and for dessert we shared the tres leches and it was as expected, very good.

I’ve never actually sat inside but I ordered food to go today and I couldn’t believe the prices. I didn’t have a menu with me but this is a Cuban place so I knew they’d have tamales and plantains… did NOT expect my meal to come out to $ 17…my small 8oz bottle of coke was $ 3.50! The quality was the same as Sedanos… disappointed.

Food is good. Portions are not that big. Prices are middle high. Worst Piña Colada ever. Desert options are scarce to say at least. No Ice Cream. It’s inevitable to compare with La Carreta even if this restaurant is a step up. Overall good but not great experience. Ill be back in 5 years(if)

Stopped by this past weekend for a few drinks and snacks. The atmosphere is fantastic the live music was great and the food we had was also good. The Mohito’s are extremely fresh and made with fresh fruit. There rum list is huge! This is a beautiful setting for a date night and atmosphere whisks you away is if you were enjoying a meal in Cuba.

You do not need a time machine to visit Cuba in the 1950’s. Just come to Havana 1957 and experience it for yourself. This place is one of the newer restaurants in the Pembroke Gardens area. It is different from any other Cuban restaurants because it creates a unique dining experience by its atmosphere. The restaurant is really well decorated and contains all the elements of a 1950’s restaurant in Havana. Lots of Cuban music and vintage memorabilia bringing that Cuban Nostalgia. When you walk in, one of the biggest features you will see is the Mojito bar. It was massive display of liquors, mostly rum. I believe their cocktail menu said they carry over 100 varieties of rum from around the world. I could of ordered a classic Cuba Libre but I decided to go with a Mojito since that’s what they specialize in. Also, there was a wait of 30 minutes to get a seat for two on a Saturday night so we decided to kill some time at the bar. I ordered a Melonjito. It was made with Bacardi melón, sugar cane, and yerba buena. They were very generous with their topping, it was very refreshing and it was my first time trying a sugar cane. Their food menu was huge. It was one of those Menus where it is so big and so many items on the menu you get lost and do not know what to order. I stuck with what I usually get which was Ropa Vieja, Moro and Plantains. If you never had Cuban food before, Ropa Vieja is shredded beef in a onion and Criolla sauce. It is really good specially when you pour the juices over the rice. Moro is black beans and rice mixed together. Great flavors but nothing that sets itself apart. I am very torn with my review because for the prices that they charge, the food wasn’t anything that sets itself apart from other Cuban restaurants. Do not get me wrong, the food tasted great but it was not elevated. You for sure pay a premium for its location in Pembroke Gardens and the«Nostalgia» effect. So if you are looking for simply Cuban food there are other restaurants in mind. If you are looking to have a great time, special occasion, great atmosphere or great experience then come here. PS. they sell Cuban souvenirs too like gorras, guayaberas and dominoes to name a few.

During a business trip to Miramar, I found this gem. The food, service, drinks(14 different mojitos!), music & ambiance were all superb! I felt like I was IN Cuba! Amazing. I’ll return the next time I’m in the area! Photos added as well.

I really like this restaurant! The décor is great and the ambiance is nice and relaxing. The food is top-notch, too. I lost track of how many mojitos we drank. Obviously, we had a good time. So why the four stars instead of five? Well, unfortunately this didn’t go off without a hitch. Our server, as nice as he was, was visibly ill. Since we were liquored up, we didn’t notice at first. But at that point, it was too late since we already had drinks and ate a lot of the food already. Over the next few days, a number of us started contacting each other with stories of feeling sick. One ended up going to the emergency room and was diagnosed with bronchitis. I have to say that I’m disappointed in this server for not putting the health and welfare of others before himself considering the nature of his work. I hope the management takes steps to mitigate something like this from happening again. This will not sway me from eating here again. But I will most definitely be more vigilant.
