Excellent Finger Lakes breakfast joint place for a late Sunday morning. Fast service, great omelets, buckwheat pancakes and endless coffee.

Go to spot for breakfast in Penn Yan. Great portions, and perfect place for someone to try buckwheat pancakes. Also, they do a great small lunch buffet that consist of soup, pizza, salad, pasta, and wings.

Good food. Big portions. Friendly. Not expensive. French Vanilla creamer. Why not?

Good food. Fast service. We were I n and out in 45 minutes. Food came out less than 10 minutes. They have French vanilla creamer’s for coffee. That’s a plus for me. Lots of things to choose from the menu. Great prices. They also have a bar on the other side and TVs.

We stop in here for breakfast whenever we can, tons of seating, solid food, great value and big portions, I never leave hungry. The wait staff is really good, and food had always come out fast. Dinners and lunches are decent too, nothing fancy just good, the salad bar is a nice option too.

The place
Most of the reviews are pre flood so the place has been redone and is MUCH cleaner than before. This place was packed Sunday and we called ahead for reservations due to having a party of 12. They were super nice and had the table ready when we arrived. The waitress was very kind and attentive always there with refills for our coffee and even had flavored creamers!
The Food
I ordered an omelette which was really good my only complaint was the bacon was not cut up in the omelette something Ive never seen. No big deal just alittle different. It was solid nothing special. I also tried some of my wife’s french toast which was pretty good. Normally for this I would give 3 stars but the prices were great one of the best values I have been to. Basically if you are in the area this is a great place for breakfast!!!

I rate The Wagner for what it is. BREAKFAST Place. As far as a breakfast place for a good value it is as good as it gets. Quick service, swarming coffee and water refills, good plentiful food. Eggs, pancakes and McJohn sandwiches all good.

Great place to get breakfast in Penn Yan. Guests always request to come back here once they’ve been once. Sweet potato pancakes are particularly good, as are the home fries! They also have seasonal pumpkin pancakes which are delicious. Your food tends to come out super quickly, and everything is quite inexpensive, especially considering how delicious it is. You’ll be full for a lot of the day after the Wagner.
I’ve only been here once for lunch, but that was good too.

Don’t expect anything stellar. Order the basics… don’t get too adventurous with the eggs Benedict or the steak and eggs. Order things that can’t be messed up… fried eggs. Toast. And bring wipes. The tables are sticky.

Great florentine omelet with egg whites, spinach, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. Pigs in a blanket, sausage wrapped in pancakes were good.

Typical small town breakfast place, quick service, great fresh eggs, grits, toast, etc. I was being good and had the oatmeal and fruit plate and to my surprise the oatmeal didn’t really taste like instant oatmeal, possibly because of the brown sugar added :). The prices were cheap also so guaranteed not to bust your wallet for some pancakes, etc.
I always have a love for little breakfast dives like this one. In my experience with little towns, places like this always provide a great hearty breakfast and do so with that small town politeness that you just can’t find anywhere else.
Wagner Motor Inn (strange name for a restaurant I know) is no exception! I’ll be back for sure.

Oh aren’t you adorable! Was here for breakfast last week and was pleasantly suprised. The interior is very dated yet clean and functional. The service is very fast and pleasant. I LOVE any place I can get breakfast that isnt traditional breakfast — i.e. a BLT. YUM!!! It came with home fries which was a fun addition. Perfectly cooked and delicious. My nephew got a chocolate chip pancake bigger than his head and was in love. All traditional breakfast foods all around the table (how can you really screw up breakfast anyways?) The prices were super reasonable and the coffee refills were constant. I will be back when I am in town little Wagner! :-D
