I live 3 hours away and drive here to eat. The food is outstanding and very creative. They have a great wine selection and the staff is great. The deserts are excellent too. You just can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I highly recommend it.

Second and last time to visit Pinot and Pot Roast. Great menu, poor execution. We had the Liver and Onions appetizer, which was foi gras with grilled onions with three home made jellies. The dish was under the heat lamp at five minutes before our server delivered. The jellies had melted into an ugly mess the the goose liver was raw in the center. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak for his entrée, which was made with veal served with a potato and wild mushroom hash. The flour coating on the veal was way too thick, and the veal was undercooked. The hash was frozen potatoes that were under cooked. The mushrooms were good, but cold. The cook used no seasonings, and there were none on the counter where we ate. I had the lobster Mac and Cheese, which was the best thing we had. The cooks and wait staff were hard working, friendly, and courteous, but the cooks and soux chefs haven’t been properly trained. Waiter suggested an awesome wine to complement the Mac and Cheese. Really wanted to like this place, but it was not clean, and in watching employees cook and plate food, they have no clue regarding cleanliness and cross contamination. We would not recommend this restaurant, but hope they can hire someone to train their staff before it’s too late.

Good food, weird seating, snooty-to-rude staff. More impressed with themselves than the food and experience merit.

I was so excited to try this place based on the reviews and the menu and the photos. Sadly it was nothing like I had hoped for. I ordered the fried green tomatoes with blue crab. It felt like I was eating leftovers. The crab was dry and tasteless with absolutely no sauce. I also ordered the beet salad. No flavor at all! It said it had a dressing but i couldn’t notice. No salt and pepper on the tables. Waited for our server to come by but it was taking so long I said screw it. My daughters each ordered orange juice. Wait for it…$ 5.00 each!!! Our bill was $ 85.00 not including tip. When we walked outside my husband said I have no desire to eat here again. Very disappointing to say the least. Yes I did eat it as it cost a fortune!

Excellent food. Very creative. Deviled eggs with lobster were delicious. Tater tots with pomegranate ketchup are crisp and fresh. Grilled cheese with apples were perfect sweet and savory combination. Music a bit loud… Hard to talk with my family.

I was in Pensacola for work and Pot Roast and Pinot was amazing. It was one of the best meals that I’ve had in months. The service was great and the selection of wines by the glass incredible. The highlight was definitely the food though. Here are the things that we tried: Smoked Lionfish Dip: Definitely unique to the Gulf area, but this was a local treat. It reminded me of smoked salmon dip but came with three different kinds of toast. Yum. Tuna Nicoise Salad: Flavorful, fresh and just perfect. Chicken and Waffles: Wow… the best that I’ve ever had. The chicken was crispy, boneless, and perfect. The waffles and syrup added just the right amount of sweetness. I was full after this. Definitely check this place out if you are in Pensacola.

Favorite spot for date night with the Hus. Always delicious foods and great wine list. Every time I am in Pensacola we will be stopping by for some good grub!

The only reason this place doesn’t get five stars from me is because of the price. But the portions are huge and you can get half portions so maybe it’s not so bad. Also, asking if you have a reservation when your restaurant is completely empty makes me laugh every time but it’s pretentious. Don’t do that. And my favorite(the BLT+E) is no longer on the menu which is just sad. On to the positives: THEFOOD. If we lived any closer than right down the street and maybe had bigger pocketbooks we’d be there everyday. The food is so so good. I’ve had almost the entire menu and the only thing I haven’t liked was a zucchini blossom appetizer special. It was battered and deep fried but the blossoms are too delicate for that so the stuffing fell out and then the batter was too heavy for the blossoms. Not good. And I think it was like $ 8 for two so bummer. But other than that, everything you get at what I’ll call this fancy dinner is fabulous. Steak salad. Lionfish dip. Pot roast. Chicken and waffles. The lobster mac and cheese is phenomenal and the patty melt with lobster is just as good. Salads are huge. Oh and PJ brunch with a free mimosa if you come in in your PJs? What a wonderful idea! Now if only they could get Hopjacks to get their ish together.

Yep, we had pot roast and Pinot Noir and they were both delicious! Two Pinots by the glass were fresh tasting and delicious, one from Burgundy and the other from Oregon. The wine list – featured on an iPad – is impressively well constructed including some rare finds. In addition to the fork-tender pot roast, we enjoyed 2 awesome salads: Spinach with a fantastic hot bacon mustard vinaigrette and a poached egg as well as an arugula, goat cheese and beet salad, both of which had tasty candied walnuts. The space is a tastefully renovated former diner-style restaurant with a casual atmosphere. The service was also fantastic – our server was patient even though we came in just an hour before closing, friendly and did a really great job of always keeping our water glasses full. I would love to try the other menu items!

I went here on my birthday and was very disappointed. The appetizer and my entrée came out cold and tasted like it was prepared at an earlier time and microwaved. There was a good selection of wine but the food wasn’t good. Maybe it’s better at a busier time but my date and I left hungry.

I wish this place was closer! There was nothing I could even remotely complain about. The staff was super friendly. The prices were amazing and the food was about to give me a gastrogasm. Not. Kidding. We started off with the deviled eggs. They were awesome with pork belly and lobster on them. I had the croque monsieur. It was so yummy, however, I had no clue what amazing was until I tried my husband’s french dip — that was about the best sandwich ever with homemade rosemary focaccia. We had no room at all for dessert, but then we spied the smores. Made with homemade marshmallows, and thick chocolate ganache, this was a delight only found in fairy tales. Once we were done and disappointed they didn’t offer beds to relax on, we got in the car and drove away. Including our drinks and the purchase of two of their cute pint glasses, we walked away spending a mere $ 40 for this overflowing meal. I’m still telling people to go there.

The concept sounded a bit strange, but the great reviews and lack of interest in seafood/beach food drove us here. Looks like a converted diner from the outside, almost sketchy, like it could be crappy atmosphere. WRONG! It’s AWESOME inside! We had been cold all day at the Naval museum; I just wanted to get WARM. So I ordered the pot roast. In 8 years, my husband has never seen me choose, or maybe even SAY, «pot roast.» But the mood struck. OMG… SOTENDER!!! I didn’t need a knife. I easily could have eaten it with a spoon. Great flavor, big portion. At the table we also had the lobster mac and cheese that was a big hit, the high-quality burger, a huge, great wedge salad, and 2 desserts. GREAT glass of red wine at a great price. Service was delightful, and she gave us great suggestions/detailed info to consider about our choices. All of the staff is upbeat, making a point to greet and say goodbye. WELLDONE. TIP: READ the ingredients on each dish. They have traditional names, but often have non-traditional ingredients, which could throw you off if you expected the basics. But all of the food seems really good, not too«weird.»

I had an awesome time here with delicious food, drinks, but most importantly great company. This is a nice modern restaurant to go with friends for a moderately priced meal. Would I come back again? Yes. From what I remember, we ordered the following items: APPETIZERS: — Butter & Toast — bone marrow, parmesan, carmelized onions(RECOMMENDED! My party loved it) — Deviled Eggs — two ways, lobster claw, pork belly(RECOMMENDED! only problem was we wanted more!) — Pimento Cheese Dip — house-made pimento cheese, crab meat, roasted red peppers, assorted breads(RECOMMENDED! Probably our favorite of the appetizer barrage) ENTREES: — Pot Roast — slow roasted, carrot, heirloom potato(Moderate recommendation – good but nothing to rave about after the meal) — Chicken-Fried Steak — veal cutlet, mushroom-onion hash, tasso cream gravy, fried onion(RECOMMENDED! We loved it) DESSERTS: — Bread Pudding — white chocolate & banana(Moderate recommendation – no oomph) — Crème Brulee(HIGHLYRECOMMENDED! Nom nom nom) — Cookies N’ Cream — white & dark chocolate mousse, almond shortbread cookie(Not recommended – was bland, save your stomach for something better) — Cheesecake(RECOMMENDED! When is cheesecake ever bad?) I know we had more than this, but again this is just what I remember. One thing I wish this place had was beer and liquor(at least a very limited option set). I’m just not really a wine-drinker. Bottom line is that this is a definite gem in Pensacola and not to mention a great date spot.

Pot Roast and Pinot. Such a simple name, for such an astounding establishment. Quirky, the Sunday we came in to dine was the Sunday that everyone wears pajamas. So, we walk in, the staff is in pajamas and the place smells amazing. We are greeted and seated quickly and pleasantly. Our server was friendly, helpful and obviously in love with this establishment. We began our journey with the Deviled eggs, topped with Pork Belly, and Lobster respectively. This was complimented by a zesty little sauce that made them stand out all the more. First and foremost, these are not your auntie’s deviled eggs. Nothing against Tia here, but these babies are nothing less than refreshing. And topped with Pork Belly on two and Lobster on the other two, «ding, ding», we have a winner here folks. Now to move on to the main course. My wife ordered the Croque Monsieur. Hand-carved ham, melted brie cheese, walnut & onion jam, marbled rye. So subtle and unassuming. Almost too beautiful to put into words. You’ll be uncertain whether to eat this, or cuddle with it and tell it all your hopes and dreams it is just so damn comforting. I almost neglected to mention the Tater Tots. Now, you would think, «m’eh tater tots». You would be DEADWRONG! These are not the tots of Lunch Lady Doris, nay-nay, these are home made, delicately seasoned perfectly portioned tater tots of flavor explosions. If you can, have these added over the French fries, that wile tasty, cannot compare with these mighty tots!!! I ordered the French Dip. Shaved roast beef, Swiss, caramelized onion, au jus on the most exquisite Rosemary bread I have ever tasted. If these two sandwiches were siblings, the Croque would be the sister you cuddle with, while the French Dip, is the sister you go out, get drunk with, party till dawn with and wake up in the morning begging to do it al over again. The Pot Roast in this sandwich actually melts in your mouth, the Swiss and caramelized onions, only add that much flavor. And while the mellow sublime flavors of these combinations are slowly tantalizing your senses the Rosemary bread demands to be heard in a way you cannot ignore. To say that the French dip is a Gastrogasmic experience bordering on something out of a Hunter S. Thompson hallucinatory adventure is not an exaggeration. And when the glow was just beginning to subside, the server brings us the House Made S’Mores. With House made marshmallows, graham cracker and chocolate ganache’. That my friend, would have been enough to have me crawling under the table for a little bit of a nap, had time and wait staff allowed. However this was merely a stop on our return trip to NOLA, and we had no time for a nap. Call it luck, call it serendipity, call it a beautiful blessing of a benevolent God, I’ll call it one of the most sublime, life changing restaurants I have been to in my 46 years on this little blue space marble we call home. Oh, you fortunate, fortunate Pensacolans. We, merely happened upon this little Gem which you have access to every single day. Trust me, whether local, or merely weary traveler passing through looking for a meal that will satisfy this is the place for you. As for me, I am trying to rationalize the drive from the 504 to tast all of the wares that this establishment has to offer. And yes, it s just that damn good.

Probably the best restaurant I’ve eaten at. Nick(head chef) and co. are great. If you are in Pensacola this is definitely where you need to treat yourself. Will not be disappointed . Had the pot roast. To die for!

First time visiting Pensacola FL, my husband and I were just hungry and wanted to go whether Thai or French restaurant for lunch. After searching by the word«French» on Unilocal, this restaurant came up as the first place also the nearest. So, we decided to go there. We found out it wasn’t French restaurant when arrived, but whatever… We were so tired and had no energy to go anywhere else. We ordered«French Dip»(At least it has something ‘French’ in there. lol) and, Chicken & Waffles. Both of them were amazingly delicious! Esp, the boneless chicken with the cashew waffle topped with maple honey syrup was the best of the best. I really loved that chicken wasn’t too oily but super crispy! We also ordered Deviled Eggs and it was good too. The restaurant décor was unique and cute. Staffs(servers and chefs) were so happy and friendly. The prices are reasonable. This awesome place does really deserve a 5-star! ^___^

I was only in Pensacola for a night, and made plans to meet up for dinner with some friends who were also in town. We were looking for a place with a good Unilocal rating that wasn’t too touristy, and this was JUST the place. We had dinner around 8 and the restaurant wasn’t crowded at all. There were maybe a couple of other small groups inside. The space is pretty intimate, which I liked! Our server greeted us right away and gave us an iPad that we could browse the wine list on. I’d never been to a restaurant with an iPad menu before! At first I was not into it, but it quickly grew on me because it was super fun to scroll through the wine list and click on all the different options. In the end though, we ended up going with two wines our server recommended for us based on our entrée choices. Our server, Clara, was AWESOME. After talking to her for just a bit, she was able to guess what kinds of wines my friends and I would like and she was dead on. It was crazy! For an appetizer, our table split the potato tots, that came with a super delicious and interesting pomegranate ketchup. For my entrée, I went with the lobster mac n cheese because I can never deny a good mac n cheese dish. If you’re a mac n cheese fan, TRYTHISDISH. It was SO good. I was literally forcing myself to eat it slowly and enjoy it even though all I wanted to do was inhale it as quickly as possible! If I ever come back to Pensacola, I’ll be coming back here to try one of the desserts. I was so full and didn’t save room for dessert but they all looked amazing! If you’re looking for a super delicious, nice dinner in Pensacola, definitely head to Pot Roast and Pinot. And ask for Clara!

We dine out on a regular basis and enjoy exploring new restaurants to experience the culinary arts. Pot Roast and Pinot was a culinary experience I recommend to anyone and everyone! There were nine of us in our party. We arrived at 6:15 and was promptly seated to our table. We had four different apps to share and we all had different entrées and all of the desserts. Everything had a twist on your favorite comfort food dish plus chefs creations that was creative and very tasteful. Every item sampled was truly wonderful! Our service was outstanding. Claira(sp?) was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients, the wine list and pairing with food and had a personality that dazzled the table. The restaurant décor was also apropos to the theme; a twist on «diner» and home cooked food. A truly unique and outstanding experience! I wish this restaurant was in our home town. We will be dining at Pot Roast and Pinot every time we are in Pensacola!
