Staff has horrible attitudes. This store may be new but there is nothing really special about it. When you staff a nicer place with complete tools the place starts to go downhill fast. Good riddance in advance

One of my favorite grocery stores in Peoria. They have a little bit of everything. Good bread, but like most grocers in the area they don’t know how to make real baguettes. Only one grocery store in Peoria can claim that. Really great deli and dessert selection. Cheese selection is one of the nicer ones. Health food section is clearly where they shine. Few stores in Peoria come close to matching the selection Hy-Vee has.

This is my go-to grocery store! Love the hours and the location. The staff is always very friendly and will help find everything I’m looking for. They will speak up even if you don’t need help which makes me seem welcome. The deli girls are always helpful and cashiers are usually fast. I love this hyvee!

I love the new HyVee store! It’s got everything you could think of, from the basic to hard-to-find items. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. There are mother’s rooms available for parents with small children, which is a really nice perk. Available delivery/pick-up groceries, but so far I enjoy coming to the store too much to utilize these services!

I rated the Hyvee store on Lake Street a 5⁄5 stars. The new one? 1 out of 5. The biggest reason is that the staff at the new Hyvee store are not well trained. First, I’ve had a lot of issues at check out. One time, the cashier had put the tape in backwards so that nothing printed out on the tape. Another time, the cashier couldn’t discount something as it was stated in the ad and I had purchased the exact item and exact quantities listed in the ad. Last, the staff at the deli are awful. First, there are many of them standing around(which I’ve noticed about the whole store) and the one who agreed to help me had obviously never worked in that section before. He couldn’t identify meats or cheeses unless he looked at the sign(which I could see from my side, obviously), couldn’t tell me why they had no sliced chicken(only turkey and ham) even though the HyVee on Lake street has 4 or 5 different kinds of chicken sliced and ready to go. He also pulled out huge stacks of 2 different meats and 3 different cheeses when I only asked for ½ pound of each one and then he started painfully pulling it off the scale chunk by chunk to put it back. I ended up buying .65 pound of each one just so that we could move on. Worst of all, the cheeseI bought(havarti) had been sliced and put in the case A LONGTIMEAGO and was so stale that it had shriveled edges where the cheese had dried out from being in the case so long. I can’t believe that the young man who weighed it did not notice this. He even put the old cheese back in the case. It’s clear that the manager of this area is telling his staff to push whatever’s left in the case whether it’s in date or not. Huge disappointment. I will warn all my friends, family and coworkers not to use this store by the Shoppes at Grand Prairie. If you like Hyvee, use the Lake Street store. They won’t push old deli cheese on you, they know how to use coupons, and the cashiers will ring you up correctly and get you out. Hyvee managers at the new store? Do your job. Train people and keep training them. Of course I realize that it’s possible all these new«managers» are new to their jobs, too. If so, this store will take years to get good. Such a shame. All that advertising and the specials in the ad for this store and they can’t properly take care of customers.

I am reviewing the«Market Grille» My family and I had a terrible experience here and this was our first and last time we will get breakfast here. Our eggs were under cooked. Our hash browns were burnt. The bacon was like it was cooked hours ago just sitting under the heat lamp to stay warm. The sausage was just absolutely covered in grease. It took 30 minutes to get our food after we ordered it and another 30 minutes after we were done eating to get our check. They try way to hard to be «fancy» when the truth of the matter is its just a grocery store that serves breakfast. I would give it 0 stars if I could. Don’t waste your time or money here your better off getting McDonalds or some other fast food chain breakfast.

The glitz and glamour of this store is hard to deny. It’s spacious with an extensive hot food area, if you don’t want to cook– they definitely have you covered! Ribs? Check. Pizza? Check. Chinese? Check. Massive made to order salads? Check. Sushi? Check. The ethnic food section has brands and types I have not yet seen like Greek and Italian items that are expensive but look totally worth it. Really awesome beer aisle that puts Friar Tuck to shame not to mention brands of liquor never before seen in Peoria. Not everything is exotic and expensive though, they still carry all the basics and store brands so you don’t have to empty your wallet!
