I had no idea where to find a framer in Petaluma but found Alfa Frameo on Unilocal.I took a watercolor with a very significant provenance to him. I explained the history and the owner was incredibly careful. He made many suggestions but not so many as to overwhelm us. He was very patient and responsive during a process which took much longer than I expected. The result was perfect! It was a good experience with someone who really knew what they were doing. Al is the best!

I went to Alfa Frameo with an unusual sized painting to have framed. The owner, Al, showed me several really nice framing options. We chose a beautiful frame stock that really set the painting off. I was so happy with finished product that I will definitely be a returning customer.

Very attentive and careful service which is rare these days. I was very particular with what I wanted on my artwork, and we spent as much time as I needed until it was just right. Al makes you feel like you’re his most important customer. He is willing to make sure you are happy with what you get no matter how long it takes. True old-​fashioned custom service.

I was very sad to see Pelican Art close, but am delighted to find that Petaluma still has one really great picture framer in town. It’s a little off the beaten path tucked away on Water Street, but this small design studio is worth visting especially if you have a special project that you don’t want some teenager at Michael’s fumbling around with. That was the case in point for me. I was helped by the owner of the shop, Al, who created a complicated mat for a newspaper article. He got it done in only a couple days and on the cheap. I highly reccomend his services.
