Specialties
Our fresh fish of the day (almost always Halibut if it is available) is the Chef’s speciality and our daily special. Crusted with a dijon cornbread crust and served with a lemon and chive buerre blanc sauce. His french inspired sauces are what we are known for. Desserts are also another one of our specialties so save some room. Sharing never hurt!
Come in on wednesdays and enjoy $ 5.00 wines by the glass and $ 20.00 bottles of wines by the glass.
History
Established in 1988.
Corey Basso was trained at the California Culinary academy. After his completion of his studies, he trained hands on with a french restaurant in Carmel Valley for a couple of years and then another in San Francisco. In 1988 his love for Sonoma county found him Le Bistro. He stayed true to his french teachings and has kept his menu simple with amazing sauces, his wine list always within reach of everyone’s budget, and always kept his food consistent. Very little has changed at Le Bistro in the past 24 years. Some tweaks here and there have been made to the menu, and Corey is always doing constant updating of the décor inside and out. But one thing still remains the same since the day the doors open, Corey’s food always stays true to the classic french technique and amazing sauces he was trained so well to do.
