Great happy hour! I love the pork belly banh mi and the deviled egg. Both the mojito and Moscow mule are great.

This place is great! Our server was very friendly and helpful. We came without reservations on a Saturday night and they only had seating the bar area. We took a bottle of wine(corkage fee $ 15) and ordered the ribeye steak for two(32 oz). The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection! So much flavor and the prawns were fantastic. We received mashed potatoes to go along but they did lack flavor which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. This place is a bit pricey but it is totally worth it!

Made reservations through the Unilocal app. No waiting for a table when we got there. Service was excellent. We had a party of four. The three cheese plate was very tasty and agreat bang for your buck as an app. We all order different entrées. I had the hanger steak which was excellent, although it’s the first time I tried that cut of meat. The garlic mashed potatoes were very tasty. The burger, The ribeye and the queen cut prime rib where the other entrées are my table. All were excellent choices, although the prime rib was tasty, it was a little chewy. We were seeing a show nearby, and the meal was well paced and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back to try a few other options !

Found this little gem after a day of hiking and exploring Mt. Tam. Nothing like hiking 9 miles and craving oysters and gin martinis. We showed up right on time for happy hour which showed some delicious eats but ended up turning to the main menu for even more delicious food. The staff was outstandingly prompt and professional. Aside from the drunk single mother and her child the atmosphere was perfect.

Service is pretty good. The price of the food does not reflect the quality. Completely sub par. For a $ 30 – 40 steak, it should be seasoned correctly, cooked correctly– and, the mashed potatoes should not be watery, nor the carrots inedible(hard, cooked grossly). To be considered a Steak House, this place has a long way to go. It’s just not worth the money. I’ve tried it twice and won’t go back. It’s a total disappointment.

Great place for a celebratory meal. The burger comes one way and it really is the best way to have it. Ask for the house ketchup and aioli on the side for your fries for a little extra treat. Our waiter provided seamless service and when we ordered a glass of wine to split, put it into two separate glasses for us. We started the meal with the calamari which had cilantro and other interesting flavors with a creamy Asian style dipping sauce. We ended the meal with the Nutella blondie with ice cream and whipped cream on top. Such a treat! The ambience is great and it was easy to get a seat on a Thursday night. I used the Unilocal reservation button through the app and it confirmed the reservation via text. But once we got there I could tell it would have been fairly easy to get a table.

Great food and our server, Michael, was top notch! Our group ordered the surf and turf, a couple other steaks, some burgers, and oysters. The food was excellent, deliciously cooked well, and visually beautiful. Our server made our night though! With the large Saturday crowds, it was taking a while for our food to come from the kitchen. Our server Michael regularly checked on us to give us kitchen updates, refill our water and bread basket, and made sure we were good on our wine/drinks. What deserves the 5th star is that our server was proactive to resolve a complaint before it even happened. Before we even said anything, Michael came to our table and apologized for the wait we had been experiencing and that, to him, it was an unacceptable amount of time. Because of this, he gave us a complimentary round of drinks on the house, which as a table of 6, turned out to be a nice bonus for everyone! Overall, I’d highly recommend this place and I’s return for their great food and above all, their outstanding customer service!

Arguably the best restaurant in Petaluma! Came here from a big city where great steaks are routine and was blown away. Had the Wagyu filet and it was FANTASTIC! From the server to the manager, the service was excellent. The only place to go in Petaluma for high end dining.

Walked in here randomly. Place is descent. Not your typical steak house. Had the rib eye and it was good. Service was excellent that’s why the four star. We will be back when in the are. Specially after Dillon beach. Be right back…#SOLitFood

I came in for a Long Island Ice Tea since it was 80+ degrees outside. I really don’t think there was much alcohol in the drink that should have about 5 shots! So I had another one… same thing. I should have been on the floor passed out. Whatever! I felt ripped off. Then I ordered the burger. Good grass fed meat but, kinda of one note flavor. The burger was large but the fries could have fed Africa. I had sooooooooooooooooo many fries, it was over-the-top. How about adding something like homemade pickles or tomatoes or something to cut the fat. Something. I was going to order the a small plate but the bartender said you only get 2 – 3 shrimps for a half size… it was the same price as the hamburger. I didn’t want to leave feeling like I got nothing for my money so I ordered the burger. Left unsatisfied. Oh, well. I still like the atmosphere and will return but, next time I’ll order a beer or wine. The happy hour is great with large apps and low cost drinks. Maybe I will return then. The bartender was very nice. Overall, meh. :(

My wife & I were meeting Friends, and had reservations at another restaurant, when we popped into Seared for a drink, after arriving early. Neither of us had ever been in before, and were immediately impressed with the décor, and level of service. By the time our Friends arrived(they’d never been in either), we were cancelling our other reservation, and looking forward to our meal here! The service was great, food and portion size was Fantastic — we will definitely be back :)

Took my girlfriend here while we were in town for a business trip. We went in on a Friday at about 6pm and the place was packed. After confirming that we didn’t have reservations, the host was extremely gracious and found us a table right away. We started our night with some tasty local microbrews and then moved on to sampling their delicious oyster selection. My girlfriend opted for the shrimp & grits entrée and I went for the surf & turf(filet with seared scallops). My steak was mouthwateringly good and my girlfriend’s meal was equally fantastic. The evening was capped off with their decadent Nutella blondie dessert that was to die for. I give Seared 5 stars for their amazing service and for an absolutely wonderful dinner. This is definitely a restaurant that we will come back to next time we happen to find ourselves in Petaluma.

I’ve been here two times, and came away thoroughly impressed. The first was for a work luncheon with maybe 40 – 50 people. I ordered a filet mignon, medium rare. The steak itself was absolutely amazing. It comes served with a blue cheese butter on top, and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. What impressed me the most was that all of our food came out at the same time and, based on what others told me, everyone got theirs cooked the proper way. Everyone I heard talk about the lunch was very, very happy with it. My second visit was on a Friday evening with my wife, and again, everything was perfect. I had the filet again, as did my wife, and both of us loved it. We also got the cheese appetizer that features local cheeses and this was delicious. Service was great, ambiance was excellent. I hope I can count on Seared being in Petaluma for a long time, as it’s easily the best steak in town and competes with the other high end steakhouses I’ve been to in Sonoma County(Starks and the one at the Graton Casino).

Friday nite… not the best time to go out for a great dinner but hey, it does truly test the restaurant and wait staff! To start, I made reservations thru Unilocal, which was better than Open Table… our waiter John, was informative, attentive and sincere which we appreciated… a lot… I started with Seared Sazerac, which is an amazing cocktail w rye whiskey, absinthe, and bitters… quite lovely concoction… my GF had a mojito, which was passable but not memorable… the underwood mojito in graton is the best… we started with deviled eggs which had chives and were topped w a small piece of pork belly… quite nice… some miyagi and drakes oysters w mignonette were wonderfully briny and sooo fresh… yum yum prawns are a must have… delicately fried on a bed of pork belly fried rice, with a wonderful tamarind glaze… you can order the pork fried rice as a side dish as well… our main entrees were a queen cut prime rib w mashed potatoes and chinese broccoli… very tasty… a little light on the au jus… or was there any? no worries, it was very good… we also shared the day boat scallops which were pan seared to perfection on a bed of parsnip/pear/mushroom/sweet potato hash… now this was amazing… a pinot demi-glaze…totally a star on this menu! to finish our wonderful repast, we shared an apple betty ala mode with a salted caramel drizzle… this dessert capped the meal so fabulously that i needed to give Seared a five star rating, which i rarely do… If you are looking for an excellent meal at reasonable market prices, this is a destination restaurant in the north bay… …gochisosama deshita!!! domo…

I’ve been to dinner here about 5 times now! Oh my, is it great !! I’ve had a different dish each time! By far, I’d have to say that the duck dish is the best! It’s super hard to get duck to taste like perfection! The sauce is the best part! Yum!

We were already planning a return visit by the time we’d ordered appetizers – and the food justified our optimism! The Korean fried duck wings, barbecued oysters, calamari and happy hour«mini» wedge salad were all delectable, The banh mi, served as two«mini-burgers» on brioche-like buns, was delicious, and the Yum Yum Prawns atop pork belly fried rice was stellar. Delicious specialty cocktails, a beautiful, comfortable space, and excellent service. We’re definitely going back, and you should go, too! :-)

As Elle King blasted through my car speakers I found myself driving over a hidden cobble road off the main strip of petaluma. Finding parking was not easy but with patience I was able to secure my spot to an amazing evening. I found the entrance and walked through an old hallway which reminded me of the small alleyways in Paris and feeling the edge of excitement creep over my body. I walked up old carpeted stairs reminding myself that this used to be an old italian joint and to be optimistic. As I walked through the main door I was assaulted with beautiful images of wood and warm lighting, a bartender smiling at me and a bar stool waiting for me to sit at. Let me say this after setting the mood. The food here, the drinks and the staff are amazing. Their happy hour bites are to die for with options from deviled eggs(the best I have ever had) salt and pepper calamari and pork belly bahn mi. I had the Chefs Manhattan which was beautifully accompanied by two delicious soaked cherrys and the food mentioned above. The bartender was attentive, allowing me to sip my drink and when he noticed I put the menue down he came over with the most charming smile that creeped into his eyes to ask me if I wanted to order food. After my adventure at the bar I had dinner and I was lucky enough to be able to choose the Surf N Turf which I split with my partner. We like our meat cooked differently and the waiter(again a true gem) actually offered to cut the meat in half before cooking it and then having it done at our different desired levels. The scallops were sweet and buttery, the fillet mignon melted in my mouth and the spinach with mushrooms? Let me say this they were just as important as the rest of the components if not more so in my mind. I can say without a doubt that my overall experience here was something that I will never forget and it will cause me to not only suggest this establishment but continue to come back as long as I can.

all of the aspects of seared make for a better than stellar experience; the service, the adorable atmosphere, and the food. We were seated immediately and greeted by a waiter who knew EVERYTHING and gave all of the best recommendations. For cocktails, we tried the whiskey smash and the Moscow mule, which were both tasty but the menu didn’t seem to vary enough from a certain taste palette. The majority of the offered cocktails were whiskey/bourbon based which only caters to a select few. Appetizers were WOW. By far the best part of our entire meal. We tried the five spiced calamari & the duck confit wings. The calamari came out first and as we were raving about them, the duck wings arrived and blew our minds. The duck winds were the best appetizer we had ever had as a table. TRYTHEM! Fall off the bone, spicy wonderfulness. Even the complimentary bread was great. For entrees, we tried the prime ribeye, the bay scallops, and the baby beet salad. The ribeye was the winner, which we could have guessed since our knowledgable waiter had swayed us towards it. The baby beet salad lacked the sweetness that it mentioned in the description but had nice ingredients which we still enjoyed. The menu was pricey, but well prepared so worth it. We loved being able to see the wonderful chefs in action while we waited for our dinners. Overall, a lovely dining experience.

Holy cow. I had the best dinner here, ever. I don’t go out to a lot of fancy restaurants unless it is for some special occasions, and that’s exactly what happened this time. It was my friend’s birthday and we stumbled upon this cute little(ok, sort of big) restaurant while we were in the area. Since it was a weekday, there was no wait and we were seated right away. We took some time to check out their menu and everything sounded so good because we were pretty hungry(it was around 8pm already). I ended up ordering the Wild King Salmon while my friend ordered the Surf N’ Turf. We also ordered the Deviled Egg as our starter. Right after we ordered, our waiter came back with the complimentary bread, which was delicious. You know a restaurant is great when their bread is just as great. The Deviled Egg was so so good. It’s so simple yet they’ve completely mastered every part of it. I wish there were more than just two because we both definitely wanted more. Our food came shortly after. OHMYGOSH my insides were literally jumping for joy bite after bite. The Wild King Salmon dish was so freaking amazing. It was laid on top of a bed of risotto and it was super delicious! It’s definitely the best risotto I’ve had in my life so far. The sauce, the asparagus, and all the ingredients just blended in so well together. The salmon was cooked so well, to a perfect medium. I am still dreaming about my meal at Seared even to this day. It was THAT good. My friend’s dish was also very tasty! Although I only had a few bites, I could tell everything was cooked so perfectly. Overall, I highly recommend this place. It’s a great restaurant for seafood, for steak, for everything! The service here is fantastic. Our waiter was so accommodating and so kind to us. The food here is amazing! Although it is on the pricier end, it’s definitely worth the experience. Your taste buds will thank you later! I really would love to come back again for their oysters!

This review is just for their Happy Hour(HH). Came here for Unilocal’s Passport to Petaluma, and stayed for the HH as paying customers. Huge disappointment on their oysters, as one was served shriveled. My fellow Unilocalers noticed how disgusting it looked, and we asked a staff member to please send it back. He didn’t say a word or acknowledge how gross it looked, he just took it and walked away. He took forever, I thought he went to Drakes Bay oyster farm. Adding insult to injury, he came back with the same pathetic-looking oyster with its own tray of ice. He put it on the counter as if he was trying to send a message with his death stare and carried on nonchalantly. We looked at each other in disbelief, what kind of place would do this? Any other dining establishment would have at least apologized. We shouldn’t have to plea for less shriveled oysters… WTH? This is why I have my oysters at Buckeye or in the city. Keep in mind, we’ve ordered various items off their HH menu, from pork belly banh mi to skewers(including drinks). Speaking of «banh mi», they have no clue what a «banh mi» is, as the pork belly was served as sliders(see pic). P. S. How can they list Drakes Bay oysters on their HH menu, when Drakes Bay is officially closed? Misleading & false advertising! P. P. S. My husband took clients here for dinner, and he wasn’t impressed. Starks in Santa Rosa will be their next outing.
