I have to rate this only three stars because there is something missing on their burgers, I just can’t put my tastebuds on it. I even ordered my double char with avocados and cheese. It was good but not perfect. I ordered a salad with ranch dressing, it too was ok a bit bland. The ranch dressing was watered downed. I asked for two extra because the salad was large and I know one wouldn’t cut it. The fries were good not oily. And I had the strawberry limeade to drink, I like it, it is very sweet! I would come back and give it another taste.

The burgers are the perfect size & are always delicious. I usually get onion rings & dip them in their super yummy ranch! Definitely recommend for a quick bite to eat.

A fancier fast food restaurant, basically! Except better. Why? First, you can get your burgers wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun, and there is albacore tuna! I have been here more than several of times since it has opened several years ago. I personally like getting the albacore tuna wrapped in lettuce with no mayonnaise or sauce on it. I have had the mushroom burger too… very good! The fries are tasty, both the normal french fries and the sweet potato. I have tried the tempera green beans as well, and they are alright when you’re in the mood for it. I like the fact that this place has a little side bar of peppers to put in your burgers or eat. I like my jalapeño peppers in my burger! The facility is always clean, and the staff is generally very nice and usually always gets the orders right. The last visit I asked for no mayonnaise with my lettuce wrapped double charburger… and it had mayonnaise on it still. This was a first though, so I wouldn’t base my full opinion on that one encounter. The shakes and ice cream are very good as well, according to my fiancé. I wish they had soy shakes so I can have some too! But alas, it is just a fast food place. I like this place a lot!

I am in love with the Salmon burger and the fried green beans. I love them so much, I’ve never even bothered to order a burger, chicken, or anything else. Service is great, their lemonades are tasty, food is made to order, and I have yet(knock on wood) to have an order messed up. Oddly the only thing I don’t like about this place is the temperature. It’s always freezing in here. Even in the middle of summer.

NO good. Tried it twice, burgers are not worth the calories by any means. Would rather eat jack in the box for quality/flavor comparison. If you want a good burger in this price/quality range I would head over to five guys, but if you want a good, quality burger then head to Mike’s. Lagunitas has good burgs too.

This place is brand new and very clean inside. The staff was friendly for it being a fast food joint. If you have never been here it is very In n Out or Five Guys style of a minimalist menu. I had the double char burger with fries and a vanilla malt. The burger was good, it was right on par with In n Out or Five guys I think it would just depend on which one you prefer. I was disappointed in the fries, they were just run of the mill fries you get at any restaurant. I didn’t see that they had other options like onion rings or green beans until after I ordered. The vanilla malt was very good but I don’t know if I would know a good from a bad one. The only real issue I had with the place was the flies. For whatever reason there were all kinds of flies in the place bugging the people trying to eat and even the guy at the register, I almost gave them 3 stars for this but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. All in all I will go back when I need a quick burger and I’m in the area.

I’m revising my review. SInce that one hiccup, their orders have been timely, hot and tasty. You definitely have to order the tempura green beans but they do run out. They are so delicious and relatively low in calories compared to other sides. I also like their bbq chicken salad as well as burgers.

Went there for lunch today. Had the grilled charburger combo. I had them add cheese. Staff was super friendly, and it was am amazing value for $ 8 which included drink and fries. Place was clean, and great drink choices. The burger could have used seasoning, otherwise it would be 5 stars. I will definitely be back!

Just here visiting my sister and found this great hamburger restaurant. Very clean and staff extremely friendly. I’ve been back a few times and tried different menu items. All were excellent! Well prepared. Can’t say enough about it and now I’ve just learned a new Habit has opened near me in Cypress California. Cool!

First time at a Habit grill Very clean… service was good Got the original Char burger combo with fries, sweetie got the same with onion rings. Great burgers, fries are good too… Burger tasted good, ingredients were fresh. I like the fact you can refill your drink if you want. Sweetie liked the onion rings Will put this place in the rotation with 5 guys and In n Out. Thumbs up

Move over in and out there is a new king in town!(go back to bed Burger King this don’t concern you, by the way you still suck) Just a great burger all around, cheese, grilled onion, pickle, let, tom, mayo. They also make a mean grilled cheese.

This is a step up from your average fast food burger place — food seems a bit fresher. Last time I went I had a Chicken Ceaser Salad, which was surprisingly good. Great grilled chicken. Their chicken sandwiches are great — and I hear their burgers are amazing. They give you a little vibrating pager so you know exactly when your order is ready, which is cool. I’ve been to a few Habit Burgers and they have all been clean and reasonably efficient.

This was my first visit to a Habit Burger. As burger restaurants go it’s like a hybrid between Five Guys and In and Out. I visited the restaurant at 1:00PM on Saturday afternoon and the place was chaos. The local fire department and some boy scout troops were holding an Emergency Preparedness Fair in the parking lot and the place was swarming with children who were running around everywhere. This was in addition to what I assume is a pretty busy weekend lunch crowd. WEINTERRUPTTHISREVIEWFORTHEAIRINGOF A PETPEEVE — What is wrong with people who stand in a line for 10 or 15 minutes but don’t make up their mind what they want until they get to the counter, then stare at the menu board with these dumbfounded looks on their faces as if the menu had just appeared out of thin air and had not been hanging there the entire time!!! NOWBACKTOOURREGULARLYSCHEDULEDREVIEW. It took about 15 minutes to order and 15 minutes for the food to be ready. You can sit at your table and wait since they hand you a restaurant pager to notify you when your food is ready. It was crazy busy but kudoo’s to the staff who seemed to be handling the business volume well. The burger was tasty and delicious. The onion rings and fries were good, but they were not served as hot as they should have been and got cold quickly. The layout of the restaurant was a little cramped around the soda condiment station, but overall a good burger joint. Good burger at a good price.

I ordered the char burger and onion rings. My wife had chicken burger. Both orders were made incorrectly. The burger didn’t come with the onion or the tomato. It wasn’t very impressive either. Just a small pattie and a Costco Bun. The Chicken dish was explicitly«made to order» without cheese or mayo. Our trip there turned into a 30 minute ordeal, having to wait for our order to be made correctly. There are plenty of places to get a burger in this town, not waste your time or money here

If you get there after 12:00pm — expect to wait in a long line. The counter people moved a bit slow. They have plenty of seating. I was going to get a burger but their salads looked so good, I opted for their version of a Cobb salad and a side of sweet potato fries(I know, I know, but if you have read my reviews, you know I LOVE fries). The Cobb salad was really good with fresh greens, chopped hard boiled egg, grilled chicken, real bacon and avocado. Their standard Cobb dressing was good and it was not over-dressed at all. I will definitely be back to have this salad again — not something I would ever say about a «fast-food» place. Sweet potato and regular fries were good, I ate one of my friend’s fried green beans too. My friends said their burgers were really good so I will be back to try that again too.

Although Habit Burger is a chain, you definitely don’t feel like you’ve stepped into a McDonald’s. The quality of the burgers and fries are great! My family and I have dined in and done take out a few times. The restaurant is clean, and the employees are super friendly. Wait time has always been reasonable despite it being crowded, and there is plenty of seating, including a nice outdoor patio area. What I personally dig about this place is they char-grill the burgers which gives it a great taste– something different than the other burger places in town. If you’re gluten free they offer a lettuce wrap, which tastes awesome! Overall a pretty cool addition to Petaluma!

Their veggie burger was burnt and dry. There are better pre-made veggie burgers out there(ie the Original Gardenburger.) They only have American and Swiss cheese. If you want to set yourself apart from McDonald’s and the like offer something a little more exciting than American. Is your basic cheddar asking for too much? Apparently so. Fries were good, nothing special. They have a pepper bar if that’s your thing. Tempura green beans were not the best I’ve ever had, probably not the worst though either.

VISIT #2: Now elevated to a solid 4 -, as tonight’s burger was excellent and the other orders(for our group of 5) were all great, especially the fried green bean side dish which is already on my wish list for next time. Once again the waitstaff are spot on and are so helpful to clear your table, etc. The only serious competitor in town is In-n-Out and that is a different animal. It is great to see smiling faces of those that work there. VISIT #1: This new burger joint is a 3 star plus plus plus, and I mean that in a nice way. It really should not be a 4 or 5 now for the following reasons; it is in a strip mall, it is a chain, it has no distinguishing menus items, and it is too new to rate. That being said, the quality of the food is fantastic and in my next trip it will probably become a 4 minus. The place is spotless, and there is a person constantly roving around with a broom and a dust pan and they take care of any dropped napkin. There is a competitor(in a nearby mall) that offers burgers too, and also all those free shelled peanuts, and the place looks like a pigpen. Not here. The burgers come neatly wrapped in a waxed paper, and on a tray. Their competitor tosses the burgers in a brown paper bag, and soggy and mixed with the fries. Ughh! The waitstaff are really trying, and I appreciated the service where they come to your table and ask how was the lunch, and can I take your tray for you? That was really nice. I have been to other Habit Burgers and overall it was a great dining experience. If you want to go to a «fast food» joint, you might as well choose a place that delivers a 4 or 5 star meal. Habit is one of those!

Great burger! The ambiance is nice and the staff is super friendly and well trained. Even with this being the first day, and with a line going out the door, it didn’t take long to move to the front of the line, place our order, and go to find a table. They give you a buzzer to notify you when your food is ready, which was easily less than five minutes. I like a restaurant with several different seating areas and Habit Burger has that. There are regular booths in several different areas, a high table towards the front for meeting new people, and they have heated outdoor seating. We had the BBQ Bacon Burger, which cheese, and all the toppings. One of the cool things is that they automatically put carmelized onions on their burgers. I hate regular onions but carmelized onions go well with just about any burger. The burger was great and I can’t wait to try more. And here’s a couple of things that are unique for a burger joint menu. 1) Tempura Green Beans. We had something similar in Portugal years ago and fell in love with. These are awesome and will be a ‘must have’ for all my future visit.(What better way to claim I’m eating my veggies than to eat them deep-fried.) 2) Lettuce wrapped burgers. …or something like that. I didn’t pay too much attention to this option because I don’t like veggies but the wife was quite impressed with this option, although because we shared a burger there was no way I was allowing that for our first taste. The prices are reasonable and they have veggie burgers, salads, chicken sandos, and even have a Santa Barbara burger which comes on some fancy bread instead of a bun. The regular burger combo(with drink and fries) is $ 6.50, the double is $ 7.50. Adding cheese is $ 0.55 and Bacon is $ 1.25 which both seem more than fair. Our BBQ Bacon burger was only $ 4.25, with cheese it came out to $ 4.80, which seems really good to me. I asked one of the managers about their non-profit work and he said that this wasn’t just an opening day gimmick. They do dine and donates all the time for non-profits and schools and already have some upcoming ones booked for this location. Now THAT’S one way to fit in well here in Petaluma. Yes, they are a chain but 1) they are a California chain, 2) they have more of a Chipotle feel than a McDonald’s feel, and 3) they are super involved in whatever community they go into. At least this is what I have heard… and from the looks of it this is true. We attended their soft opening on Sunday and each service(lunch and dinner) was to benefit a different local organization. They did the same thing for their Grand Opening two days later, donating to several other local non-profits. Last, and certainly not least, is the fact that their VP of Human Resources is a Petaluma girl, and her crew is already doing a bang-up job.(We were helped by some of the friendliest staff I have seen in quite a while.) So, although I would rarely give anything but a mom and pop place five stars, I am quite comfortable doing it here. Within the context of a burger chain, they are«Woohoo! As good as it gets!» in my book.
