Stopped in after a long drive down the coast. Service was soso but the food was excellent… and enormous. I Did the Mooben, which totally loved up to the hype. I admire the creativity. The second half even tasted good when I ate it cold out of the fridge this morning. I would not recommend the macaroni salad to pair with the MooBen it just seems to be missing the right amount of kick. I think they should spice it somehow. Maybe do the potato salad. If you go for a Mooben. Strawberry shake was Classic. perfect thick local cream. Even had little chunk a of strawberry in it.

Best burgers around by a long shot. Let me just start off by saying these burgers are HUGE, a bit messy, but huge. A full half pound of beef is grilled for every option and the overflowing toppings come practically dripping off the sides. If you want to get your money’s worth this is definitely the place to go. So if you haven’t had a good burger lately, give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Like any place, you have to rate it based on its function. Mike’s is a place to get an awesome burger, a quality beer, in a clean welcoming family friendly atmosphere. Dont get a hot dog, they’re gross, but do get a specialty burger of choice, and a $ 2 premium pint during NFL football. Mike’s is a good time. The big room in the back is perfect for a party of around 15 or less.

Great burgers! The krush burger was piled high with sautéed mushrooms and I could eat a mountain of their garlic fries that are cooked to perfection! If you want a big, juicy burger with fries then head to this place right now!

Food was excellent, burgers are great and some nice choices on fries like chili fries or garlic fries. Salads are good too. been there several times. Staff was prompt and very fun and courteous.

Such a great burger and there are so many that you can choose from. There isn’t a lot of actually good food in Petaluma, so this is definitely a gem. Everything is good from the fact that they have cherry pepsi to the side of ranch they have for their fries(if asked for). Yes it is a bit expensive for a burger, but its a huge plate and its great, so money well spent.

Decent, large hamburger. Feels like a diner. No complaints but not a spectacular burger either.

First time at the new spot. Burgers are still good but it’s not the same experience I had when I first when years back. They actually serve french fries now. The old charm that Mike had at his restaurant is no longer there. The food is still really good though but I wouldn’t drive out of my way anymore to seek it out.

It was last night of our mini getaway and we were tired of eating BBQ so we decided to grab some burger. I didn’t really have high expectations from this place. I thought the name of the place was kinda odd but since they had great reviews on Unilocal,we went for it. Place is big and service was great. My husband got the regular burger and I got the ry-lee melt. Burger was huge and juicy and it was delish!!! Thinking about it right now makes me want some nowwww! Wish they had this back here but oh well!

What can I say every time we come to Mike’s the burgers are delicious. And the garlic fries are to die for. Some get plain burgers, some get bacon burgers, and everyone is always pleased with what they’ve got. The only thing I wish I’ll get is some onion rings, and then they would probably be my favorite burger place LOL.

I am giving this place the full five because the service was fast, friendly, helpful(I’m allergic to nuts and they took their time to find out that everything I ordered was nut free!) and the food was SOOO good. The blue cheese buffalo burger was delicious and cooked to a medium perfection. The buffalo sauce had the perfect spice and did not overwhelm. The cool blue cheese crumbles were bountiful and the celery added a nice crunch. Update!!! My husband go here every time we are in Petaluma. Which is pretty often! My new favorite is the Moo-Ben. It’s a hamburger AND a Ruben! It’s heaven on rye and I want to marry it.

Burgers were pretty good but kind of sloppy. No big deal but one of our burgers was served on the bottom bun upside down, just a representation of their sloppiness. Kids had hot dogs and enjoyed them, but when do they ever not enjoy hot dogs. The service is mediocre but it takes an eternity to get your food, even though there were only 2 other couples in there at the time and 3 waitresses working. The reason I am giving it a 2 is because of the price point. 1 burger, 1 chicken sandwich, 2 hot dogs, 1 diet Pepsi, and 2 kids lemonades all came to $ 57.80. That is CRAZY. I am not exaggerating when I say my entire family has eaten at Girl and the Fig for less than that. I suggest you go across the street to wishbone and fix your burger craving on a burger that is worth it’s price in half the time.

I honestly do not get all the stellar reviews of this place. Once was enough for us to decide never to return. A burger joint should have bun options. Not this place, sesame seed buns only. If you want a well done burger, you will not get it here. Service was dismal. Prices high for the subpar quality. I am a picky burger chick, and this joint does not even come close to passing my picky burger test. Not a fan!

Hands down, best burger around. The waitresses are awesome(and attractive), the place is clean and the food is always top notch. They get five stars every single visit. I can’t think of anything to improve on. Great food and service is always top priority at Mike’s.

It has a Happy Days throw back diner feel — really really well lit. The servers were all very cool. I believe the place has been around a long time but this was a new location for them. I got two burgers to go and the Veggie Mushroom Burger as well. The family loved it — fries were good but order this red macaroni salad — not even sure what they put in it but it was great! A lot of the servers new the patrons when they walked in — seemed to have that local vibe. Two good size screens with the games on, to watch at the counter they have and some local favorites on tap. Check it out –good solid place to eat.

I was surprised at how clean the dining room is. Of course it’s brand new but the girls there were constantly cleaning which was very nice. The burgers were very yummy and big which we liked. The burgers seem expensive but the total bill was only $ 30 so a pretty reasonable deal.

Yum… Burger perfectly cooked, all tender and juicy. They are huge so either split one with a friend or come with a giant appetite and plenty of time for a nap afterwards.

Oh Damn — that’s a burger! I have enjoyed the Cotati location for years although not that often because, fortunately, I rarely have to go to the Cotati area! Huge burgers with excellent toppings. I really enjoyed the Rubin burger and my wife like the Western. Others looked interesting as well. The interior is sports bar light — more of a restaurant with big TVs then a sports drinking establishment. Which is just fine. We will be back.

Welcome home Mike’s!!! I used to be a huge fan of Mike’s back when they were at the Auction Yard… and so it is understatement to say that I am excited to have them back in town. My understanding is that Mike no longer owns these restaurants, but the burgers are still quite good. You’d never guess they just opened up this location because their table and food service is excellent.(We are very excited to see that Christina, formerly of Penngrove’s Super Burger, at this new Mike’s location. Half the reason we revisit a restaurant is because of staff we know and like and Christina’s presence will surely play a role in our decision to return for future visits.) We had a Mike’s standard burger, with bacon, and it was great, as usual.(It’s nice to see that they use meat from Golden Gate Meats.) We also ordered what I thought was a corned beef sandwich but was in fact a burger with corned beef and sour kraut added to the top of a burger. If burgers are good… and corned beef is good… why not a corned beef burger??? It’s called the«Moo-Ben» and it is SPECTACULAR!!! Burgers are going to run you a little over $ 10 if you want bacon added, but these days that is a pretty decent price for a good burger. As of now they don’t have my favorite, which is cheddar, but hopefully one of the local cheese places, like the Petaluma Creamery will talk their way into the kitchen.(Chipotle uses Petaluma Creamery for a reason — it’s super high quality and the flavor is hard to beat.) Oh ya, and unlike the old Mike’s at the Yard, this Mike’s has fries, and they are good. They have a pretty extensive beer selection, although only two Petaluma brews(from Lagunitas.) I hope they get some more Petaluma beers(Petaluma Hills, Hen House, and 101) because it isn’t unusual for us to specifically crave a great burger and a Petaluma brew(like Petaluma Hills’ Porterluma, or a Hen House Oyster Stout.) The decore and layout is much nicer than the previous two restaurants although it is still a bit sparse and with bare ceilings and mostly bare walls I fear it might be kind of loud when full, but I will have to report back on that. Oh ya, and PARKING… Be ready for crappy parking. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of parking because of the way Pizza Hut(or whatever that pizza place is) is set up, so be ready to walk a little bit, or park in the Lucky’s parking lot. But that should nto deter you — these burgers are worth a short walk, although we were there during a busy lunch and were able to finding parking. But I just wanted to warn you so you weren’t disappointed. It is great to FINALLY have a place in Petaluma dedicated to making burgers. We have some great restaurants that have a great burger on their menu, but often we are with a group of people who want burgers but want some choices… which is what Mike’s give us.
