I have been to Couture Touch many times and have been wonderfully pleased with the work each and every time. The many dresses I’ve had worked on have not exactly been simple alterations either; they are more than capable to finish difficult pieces beautifully. I have and will continue to recommeded friends to this place!

I, like Rissa, wanted to support a local business but this is not one that will garner anymore of my money nor should it yours. I had a brand new suit and a jacket requiring alteration. While this business’ forte is women’s wear, I was assured that men’s clothing would not be a problem. Three Problems: When picking up my alterations, I was told that I would have to pay more than originally quoted. As the person, rude and barely able to communicate, who was sitting in for the owner explained; there was three charges across the two jackets. When I explained there was only two jackets she indicated something about seams. In any case she indicated I would have to come back and talk to the owner. The owner just happened to call at the moment and she told the person in the store to only charge me the original quoted price. Then, I noticed that the button on one of the Jackets had been broken. She indicated that it had come in that way. No it did not. It was a pretty glaring look with the broken button. Finally, even though I had provided a hanger for the new suit, all the components where presented to me in a disheveled manner and all items where covered in patches of dust/dirt. Remember one suit was brand new. After paying ~$ 107 including tax, I promptly took to my cleaners across the street where they could sew on a new button(for free) and clean my now dirty clothing. I will have to wait until I get my cleaning back to see if the alternations are of any good. I have two more suits needing alteration but this business will not be getting my business.

I saw an ad in the local community newspaper about this business so I decided to stop by. I have a number of things to be tailored but I started with 3 pairs of pants(2 slacks, 1 pair of jeans) to only have the hem taken up. The jeans I was pleased upon first inspection because they matched the thread perfectly with the seams(yellow thread). Unfortunately, the pair of slacks that I also dropped off with them at the same time, they used the same yellow thread as the jeans! I didn’t realize this until I got it home. Grey slacks with grey thread but yellow on the hem really irks me! Upon even closer inspection, the sewing on the hems are sloppy in the sense that they aren’t in a straight line and there is some overlap with the loops. I really wanted to like them and support local businesses, but I find paying for that level of detail unacceptable. My other pair of slacks that I dropped off to them were fine, so their work is inconsistent. I decided to hold off on my more complex tailoring jobs until I find someone else. Oh they charge 9 dollars to hem a pair of slacks.
