Extremely Friendly and reliable. Does excellent work and no one has better prices. Started using Croata when I lived in Pflugerville seven years ago and my wife and I still come here from Cedar Park for all of our tailoring.

These folks are nice but I think they are more oriented to women than men. Took a suit in and it took a couple of tries to get it right. Value was okay but still seemed a little high. They do seem to be a good place if you just want some pants hemmed.

I have put this review off for way too long! The women at Croata Design are wonderful! They always accommodate for my schedule and make sure my alterations are finished on time! Croata has altered so many items for me, including; my bachelorette dress, rehearsal dinner dress, multiple bridesmaid dresses, and jeans! I trust her with any item in my closet and she nails it every time! Her prices are affordable and her work is always fantastic! If you’re looking for a great alterations place, look no further!

Affordable price, quick turnaround, and quality work! I came here Tuesday needing emergency alterations done by Thursday and she was able to get it done wonderfully. I will definitely come back here for my further alterations and hemming needs!

Good hemming job but a bit overpriced. Note to self: if you have adjusting fabric wear a heel 1 inch taller than you plan on the dress. She didn’t account for the type of fabric and cut my dress an inch too short. Now I’m forced to wear flats so it won’t look silly with my ½ inch heels. Sigh. :/​I might come back here but I now know to wear taller heels than I plan for the hemming fitting. Just bummed I can’t wear heels with this dress. Super super bummed right now. I kinda wish I left it ridiculously long so I could wear heels. GAAAHH THIS SUCKS SO MUCH. :(

Great service! I went in to get a pair of Boy Scout pants hemmed (they are sold super long and unfinished on purpose) and I called ahead to ask about their pricing and service. They were familiar with this very specific style of fabric and pant (and what I was looking for), and even though I had already measured the length I needed, they verified the measurement for the extra peace of mind.
The turnaround was also quick– just two business days, no rush needed. Price was reasonable as well. All in all, great all around, and the finished product looks and fits perfectly.

Amazing job with two skirts that I needed taken in a very short time period. I was going on vacation on Sunday and realized Monday that I needed them taken in. I brought it to them on Tuesday after work and then was able to pick them up on Saturday. I will be using htem again for my alterations.

Have now had 3 things altered by these ladies and every time has been perfect. The first was a dress that I needed taken in 2 sizes. A pair of jeans that needed hemming and a maxi dress that I wanted to add slits to. They pay close attention to detail, you would never know what or where was altered, which is exactly what I want. The ladies are friendly and professional and the prices are better than fair.

Love love love them. I’m a big girl and need my evening dress to look like it for my body and not just hang. Amazing! I had so many compliments how nice I looked. Ivka amazing!

Whatever you do DO NOT TAKE your wedding dress here!!! This place was recommended to me by a friend but I was very disappointed with the quality of the work. I took my newly purchased wedding dress here to get altered, I needed it hemmed, a bustle, and a corset added. The bottom portion of the dress was cut crooked and it was way to long. The worse part was the corset… it was not cut properly, there was no shape to it, and the laces were too thick. I had to take the dress back a second time to get it shortened again and raise the bustle. The bustle was very sloppy and the hook front and center.
I should of trusted my gut instinct with this place… All of this cost me $ 150 and I was forced to take my dress to another dress alteration place. Thankfully the new alterations place did a wonderful job and made my dress look beautiful again.

Amazing !!! They fixed my wedding dress that had be messed up by another alteration lady. I thought it was ruined, but Ivka fixed my dress and made it better then it ever was. I highly recommend her she is the best ever !!! She fixed it fast and was really inexpensive. She saved my wedding !!!

Phenomenal! This place was recommended to me by a friend for my wedding dress alterations. I was hesitant because my dress was very expensive, and needed to be taken apart to have proper alterations. You can tell a lot about what a seamstress knows, by the way they look at the garment. Once I watched her pin my dress and talk about what needed I be done, I knew she could do it. Even with that I was a bit nervous when I picked it up. Upon trying my dress on and examining the alterations, I was blow away by the amazing detail and beauty of her work. I would highly recommend this business.

Way too expensive for the quality and customer service. I had a bridesmaid dress altered here and it was over $ 50 for a hem and messy job on shortening the straps… to alter my wedding dress at another store only cost me $ 67 and I had a lot done to it! I called the day before I was supposed to pick up my dress because I was in the area and the dress still wasn’t ready… I dropped it off a week before, so I guess they got to it last minute and it showed in the work. So I came by the next day to pick it up and they had some sort of mix up and couldn’t find it, after about 5 minutes they found it and were rude about it. Needless to say that next time I need an alteration I will not come back.

I live in my uniform as a flight attendant and am always finding something that needs altering when receiviing a new skirt, dress or blazer. To me image means so much but comfort and movability trumps image any day of the week! Ivka has fit all my uniforms perfectly at a very good price. I can’t wait for her to transform my new long sleeve blouses into short sleeves. Trust her, she knows what she is doing!

this lady is amazing. She makes cloth on her own so she can fix anything. she has hemmed jeans for me and fixed things for me and done a great job.

For men, be careful as they may not have enough experience to do men’s suits and jackets.
I took a 500 dollar sports jacket to them to have the sleeves adjusted. I asked specifically if they could shorten the length from the shoulder so to save the unique look of the buttons and the cut of the sleeve. I was told it couldn’t be done but that i could lose a couple of the buttons and it’d be fine. When I picked the jacket up they had just folded all the button holes under the sleeve and moved the buttons up to be pseudo buttons that were non-​functional.
It looked really amateurish and completely went against all that I had asked for. I was nice, said goodbye and immediately took the jacket to another tailor. He asked «who did this and why?». He fixed the length of the jacket from the shoulder, like I asked, but a crease and damage was done to the jacket by the original modification at Croata. So now the length is right but I have permanent damage to a gorgeous jacket.
These ladies are sweet and nice. They probably do a fantastic job on most of what they do. Just be very careful as they permanently damaged my jacket through poor work and I’m out 500 bucks (plus 2 tailor jobs).

This is the best dry cleaners/​alterations place in all of the Austin area AND it’s by far the cheapest too!
I’ve brought dry cleaning here 3+ times and my clothes look brand new each time! I’ve gotten 2 pairs of jeans hemmed as well and can’t even tell that they’ve been altered due to the high quality of workmanship. The stitching in the hem matches the stitching in the rest of the jean EXACTLY.
As someone who is tired of overpaying for dry cleaning and subpar alterations in downtown Austin, I will gladly be making the trip to Pflugerville in the future!

I used to live in North Austin, and came across Croata Design upon a recommendation by a friend. The seamstress is excellent. She is well-​priced, reliable and very talented. I moved to Southwest Austin about a year ago, and after taking my clothes in need of alteration or repair to another, closer seamstress a couple times, I just had to go back to Croata. Yes, I drive all the way from Southwest Austin because the work is that quality and the service that good.

After a seamstress on 183 and McNeil quoted $ 96 to take a simple sheath dress in under the arms and hem it, I decided to try Croatia Designs.
I am so glad I did!
My dress was done on time, fit perfectly and looked awesome. I even have the pictures to prove it as I had to wear it in a wedding.
Best of all, it cost a reasonable $ 32.
From now on, all of my alteration needs go to Croatia Design.
