Pickles is awesome! She got me not one but four glasses of water… lol This location has been remodeled and is operating very smoothly.

My experience was not very good at first, but the Manager made it right.

Until I moved to Pflugerville I had been a Denny’s fan. Their food was so so, but it was good enough and on the lower end of the spectrum when it came to cost. That was until I had a really bad experience at the one that burned down in Austin after which we stopped going. After a little while my wife and starting eating out again but didn’t know where to go. We settled for IHOP because it was close and thought maybe it was somewhat close to what we came to expect at Denny’s. Boy we were in for a surprise. The first thing about the Pflugerville IHOP is that they are always really busy. I have yet to arrive there where the parking lot isn’t full and there isn’t a wait, and for good reason. Something they could work on(though this could be by design) is also something that is a bit of a positive. They under promise and over deliver when it comes to wait times. They will tell you that you will probably have to wait 30 minutes, but often it is only 15, so you end up being pleasantly surprised when they call your name in half of the expected time. Once you are seated you almost always have someone there to get your drink order within about 5 minutes. From there though I would say that the service is slightly below average as my wife and I’s drinks almost always sit empty for an extended period of time. This might be because they are so busy, but being from the customer service world in my past life I don’t think my drink should ever be empty. The service is the only reason that I am not giving this place 5 stars. Not to say that the service is terrible or anything. It’s just not near 5 star level. What keeps us coming back is one thing, the food. I don’t really care for pancakes so this review is only reflecting their lunch menu. One thing I can say is the lunch items are amazing for the price. I am a big guy, and can eat A LOT and most of the time I won’t eat dinner after having one of their huge sandwiches, and guess what, onion rings are free with the entrée unlike some places that charge you a dollar extra. TL:DR Be prepared to wait because there is almost always a line out the door. The service is average/below average. The lunch menu is very good.

I stopped into this location for lunch with my sister and her family yesterday. Initially, the service was on point; we were seated promptly and drink orders were taken almost immediately. But, we asked for a few extra minutes to order because our kids were being uncooperative and wound up searching for our waiter after 15 minutes. One of our plates came out and after another 10 minutes our waiter stopped by the check on us and we had to point out that the rest of our food was missing. I ordered a turkey sandwich with a house salad and while the sandwich was pretty good, the salad had been tossed in dressing and it was like drinking ranch soup with a lettuce topping. Not very appetizing. I’m not a huge IHOP fan and this experience really reaffirmed that for me.

2x and satisfied our craving for IHOP pancakes but horrible coffee we take ours and share each others different pancakes. about 15 – 20 min wait to be seated not long of a wait for pancakes to be served 20 min. It’s IHOP not international house of pancakes get what you paid for affordable food we don’t expect fancy food lol just don’t feel like cooking or out doing shopping. So far friendly

Gave this place a 2nd chance and it is still a complete failure. They are slow even when they are not busy.

I hate to give IHOP a low rating because it’s so Americana, but this location deserves it. And not because their servers are slacking. I often get home from work around 11pm and don’t feel like making dinner for myself so I’ll head out to a late-night spot. When I’m feeling especially lazy and don’t want to travel to Round Rock for Kerbey Lane, I’ll go to this IHOP location. However, after last night I think I’ll make the effort to go to Kerbey Lane. Even with their slow service, I could get to Round Rock, eat, and get back home by the time my food is out at IHOP. But like I said, I don’t blame the servers, they are always busting their butt when we’re there. Every time I’m here on a weeknight at ~11pm, there is one, *maybe* two servers working, and usually quite a few tables. Why? Who sets that schedule? That makes no sense to me. One server working 8 tables or more? Last night is a prime example of every experience we have had: it took ages for us to be acknowledged at the door, then another long while to have someone come by to take a drink order(and by then let’s just go ahead and order everything ’cause who knows when we’ll see her again), then finally the food came out, we ate, a long while for the check, and an uncomfortably long while to get my credit card back. It just shouldn’t take that long for a bacon-and-eggs experience, and at the same price as other venues. It’s important to recognize when people are working hard but are defeated. I felt bad for the server who got the $ 1 from the table of three next to us last night. I have no idea what this location looks like on any weekend or any time other than weekday late night but I can only hope they have more than 1 – 2 servers at any one time.

We go to this IHOP for breakfast every now and then only because it is practically across the street from us. It’s so very average… and many times it is below average. We know what we are getting. But, nothing is cooked or prepared all that well. And the coffee is sooooooo weak. It tastes like water. We always ask them to brew a pot with 2 bags of coffee instead of one and that makes it more acceptable. It is rather pricey too for what you get. I think that Kerbey Lane or the Original Pancake House are MUCHMUCH better choices than here… But, it is closer to us than the other two places.

Terrible place. Takes forever to get a table. Food is tasteless. Avoid at all costs.

So we went to Breakfast at IHOP… I have to say it wasn’t terrible or sticky like I imagined it would be. The location was actually spacious and clean and we hit the lotto because there wasn’t a wait at 10am(probably because the non-heathens were at church). It was what you expect as far as eggs, bacon and hash browns. Hubby did have trouble with cold pancakes, but our server got him some hot cakes when it was brought to his attention. Hubby was also able to score some grits which weren’t on the menu but they do have. The food was pretty standard, which is expected. I mean it’s IHOP and it’s breakfast. The coffee was a tad bit weak which is why the three stars instead of four. We’ll probably come again for standard no-frills breakfast.

Always reliable and good. The service is friendly just not speedy. The food is tasty. They just needed a bigger space and more employees to handle busier days.

I have been here four times but most visits have been on Saturday/Sunday so you expect chaos. This Wednesday night visit really surprised me… So my kids decided they wanted IHOP for dinner and considering I was working long hours this week, it didn’t take much to convince me. Parking lot was 1⁄3 full so I really expected a pretty quick meal. We walked into an empty hostess stand. I glanced down at my phone… 7:42 p.m. I stand there for 5 minutes and in frustration begged my kids to consider another local establishment. They wanted«breakfast» for dinner so the answer was«NO». Since my heels were killing my feet I sat down on the benches… at 7:57 I stood back up in an attempt to catch ANY employee’s eye. At this point I started the timer on my phone… and decided I was going to wait to see who long it took them to seat us. Three tables of patrons exited the building and many employees including a person dressed more«managerial» walked by… not one making eye contact or offering to seat us. I was contemplating calling the«to go» phone number posted on the wall! It took another 4 minutes before a waitress asked if we had been helped. I told her we had been waiting quite some time and she apologized and seated us. Christine(possibly spelled Cristine) took good care of us. Food was prompt and service was polite and delightful. Had I only had to wait a couple of minutes, this would have been 5 stars but sadly the complacency of the rest of the staff just ruined it! Kudos to Christine. So here was the kicker… a older woman came in with a cane to pick up a to go order right as we were seated. I didn’t look at what time she came in but like me, she was ignored. She was a taller women(5’10″) wearing a hot pink shirt– you could not miss her! She too was ignored for quite sometime. I felt sorry for her because she looked very uncomfortable, but it also showed me my experience was not a fluke! This is a IHOP of last resort… period.

Consistently tasty food. The breakfast sampler is always great! The hash browns are nice and crunchy and the sausage links are awesome. The people that work the pickup have been ok service wise. The food is why we come back though.

While I love IHOP this location seriously suffers from a lack of staff. On a Wednesday evening there is no staff to answers phones or get food out on the table. This is a constant issue here as this is probably the 4th or 5th time this has happened. It’s not even that crowded, no service, no food!!!

First time I been to this IHOP. Very pretty and new. The first thing I observed was they have no greeter. I had to wait for someone to come over to seat me. It seemed like a long time. The just asked if I wanted a booth or table. They had me near the kitchen. Since it was just me I sat on the other side. I sat down and waitress Elma took great care of me. I had asked her what her name was. I asked and received my flavored coffee and ordered the 55 break fast scrambled eggs with sausage(two) and chocolate pancakes. All was perfect. Received check promptly. Everything was good but nobody asked. Would come back.

Visited this location on a Friday night, only b/c nothing else was open. It was very crowded, even after midnight. We waited for about 10 minutes, no big deal. Service was surprisingly quick and prompt. Food was unremarkable, I had the BLT, and others in my party had pancakes. I’d give the service 3 to 4 stars, but one factor brings this down to a 1. There were kids walking around with no shoes on. When I say«kids» I mean at least high school or college age. In other words, old enough to know better, old enough to know how gross that is for other diners. Management should have taken control. I can’t recommend IHOP. Not any location, but certainly not in Pflugerville.

Around 10:30 last night, my family and I pulled into the slightly empty parking lot of Ihop(Pflugerville). As we approach the front door, we see no one at the front desk &4 kids(waiting to be acknowledged & seated) took up the entire area. *these teens were not obese. Females sitting unladylike… Moving on: looking around the restaurant(inside the door), some tables weren’t cleared, the young staff was nonchalant… One did a cartwheel! Yep! Like watching a freak show! They looked at us and said nothing. There were others seated with no food nor drinks in sight… Still waiting for their server… Possibly the cartwheel person? Who knows? We waited for a few minutes –which is rare! What was even worse, no one above grown folk status came out until we were backing out! Then this grown up just stared as we left. IHOP used to be my favorite place for me and my daughter since she was little. I challenge the corporate people to mysterious pop in this one and the 2 in Round Rock! #overit #cornerbakery #cafejava #cartwheelsandpancakes

Food came out great, after a long wait on a slow night and many mistakes along the way(forgotten orders mostly). The women’s bathroom and main entrances were both kinda dirty looking — there was trash on the floor.

I like this IHOP — it’s still pretty new and clean. I mean, the food isn’t mind-blowing 5 star quality. But it’s a good place for an early Saturday morning breakfast, especially when you’re in the mood for pancakes ;-) It’s in the lazy/early morning, weekend-breakfast rotation for us when I want something sweeter than High Country Market or Juarez Rest. & Bakery can offer me.(Oh who am I kidding! Let’s face it — when I want pancakes for breakfast!!!)

We love IHOP, but this place just doesn’t work for some reason — not sure if it’s a managerial issue or what. Every time I go here, I need to give myself(and my family) a pep talk that we need to plan on our food taking at least 3 to 4 times longer than usual. It’s really hard when you have little ones who are hungry. Occasionally, we are surprised, and the food comes out on time. I will say the servers are always pleasant and are trying their best — I’m assuming it’s an issue that could be remedied with more staff? Food quality is OK, pretty much on par with other restaurants in the chain.
