I really liked the Coffee Bar! The Raddison hotel made a terrible mistake closing it. Great salads, sandwiches, wraps, baked goods, lattes, coffee, etc. All of the employees were very nice, and accommodating, and the prices were reasonable.

Adorable décor. Friendly staff. Delicious drinks. Food looks good too, but didn’t try any while i was there. Great, quiet study spot with lots of space. A little pricey.

Let me tell you three things: 1/Under $ 3 café au lait, Lavazza coffee cup above the rest. 2/Delicious treats sure to delight and nourish everyone. 3/One and two is plenty. Three and half Unilocal

here on business, just want a macchiato to start the morning. walk into this coffee place, see a macchiato on the chalkboard menu and confirm with the host that they can make a macchiato. she confirms. within a few minutes its clear to me she has no idea how to operate an expresso machine. she calls over another woman to help her. 10 minutes have no passed, i have already paid for my $ 3.50 macchiato and the girl finally produces a cup full of whipped cream and caramel drizzled cup of something that i havent ordered. i say thanks, but not what i ordered. i tell them i will just get my coffee from someplace else and walk out. hopefully this review will spare others from this awful morning coffee experience.

I am definitely a fan of the Coffee bar — what a great concept to be able to get a beer or a coffee. They have Starbucks beat with that alone. The food is prepared fresh and they have a sandwich special of the day for six bucks that comes with either chips or soup. The environment is comfortable with free wi-fi and many outlets for all of your charging needs. Compared to other coffee shops they actually keep the music to a minimum, so it is a very conducive environment to getting work done. When I go here I feel like I am supporting a local restaurant but the truth is that it is affiliated with the Radisson. If this was a local place I would be tempted to give five stars.

I specifically went here for Irish coffee because their website says they sell alcohol. Apparently the new management decided to stop selling liquor, but no one updated the website. I probably should have left without buying anything, as a protest. But I got a coffee anyway. It was pretty good. But I was really disappointed about the lack of booze. Please update your website.

Not a bad spot. I got the Colombian coffee with caramel. Tasted amazing and they have free refills. The smoked salmon sandwich was good too. It was a little on the spicy side. The prices are kind of high, but typical coffee shop(Starbucks or Saxbys) prices. A bite to eat and coffee for two ran about $ 28. The inside was chic looking and they offered free Wi-Fi. Overall not bad. Can’t think of anything bad to say except the absence of the breakfast menu past 11am.

The café was understaffed(one person taking orders and making and serving food) so everything takes a long time. Prices are expensive. The grill is old and covered in char and the server was cleaning it with a brush while food was on the grill. My egg sandwich took 15 minutes and came out covered in black char pieces(all over spinach, veggies, eggs). I asked for my money back.

I stumbled upon this sweet coffee shop when I had free time before my appointment. I ordered the iced black tea with lemon and a toasted multigrain bagel with cream cheese. The tea is very good and the bagel is soft and moist, it hit the spot! I think I’ll definitely be back. I like the casual ambiance which is also comfortable, and a plus, they take credit cards! Yay!

They do have a lot of outlets here and I enjoy their happy hours, but their coffee is really acidic and they are out of things a lot. For example, came in for a long study day today and tried to order a bagel — they were out of all of their bagels. I held out until lunch and went to order a panini — theyre out of panini bread too. What? Thats about 80% of their menu they aren’t able to serve. Not acceptable.

Very nice bar and coffee place! It is great to see coffee and alcohol served at the same place. The toasted sandwiches are great too. The beer selection is unique. So if you are planning to explore weird beers go for it.

This place was just ok. I was looking for a different place to study and walked by and decided to try it. The shop is a good size and the seats are comfortable and there are plenty of outlets available. The cappuccino I got was just alright and same with the chocolate croissant. For the price, there are certainly better places to go. Also, if you haven’t seen the Warwick since the lobby was«redone», and by redone I mean destroyed. It looks like a cheap version of an ikea catalogue. It is really an absolute and total disgrace what they did to that lobby.

Convenient location being near Rittenhouse, and relatively empty, but my cappuccino was sour and honestly I didn’t even want to finish it. Didn’t try anything else, but that was off putting enough that I’d be hesitant to return. Note: Cappuccino had foam rather than art.

I need to thank The Coffee Bar for being open later than many of the coffee shops in the Rittenhouse section of Philly. Post-8pm on a Friday night is lonely without a cup of coffee to make it through more walking around the city. The coffee was yummy, though I have to say something about the limited variety of macarons — they weren’t fresh relatively late at night. Perhaps an earlier appointment with the macarons would be better?

I rarely get up and leave once I’m settled in, but the music was unnecessarily loud and intrusive. When I asked the young lady behind the counter if she could lower it a bit, her mouth said OK but her hands did nothing. When I asked again a few minutes later she told me it was«just this song» that’s loud(uh…not true) and the volume was all the way down to 45. Since that meant absolutely nothing to me and it was clear that she had no intention of trying to accommodate my request, I knew it was time to go. Someone needs to explain to this young lady that a) customers are the reason she has a job, not just a nuisance to be tolerated, and b) people come to coffee shops to talk, read, and do work. If the music is too loud, they can’t really do those things comfortably. Luckily there are plenty of other coffee shops that get it. I’ll go there.

Honestly, what’s not to like? This place is great; my 5 stars are to recognize its great location near Rittenhouse Park, the amenities(nice bathrooms) and friendly service. Along with Coffee, they serve cocktails, wine and draft beers. The food is good too, similar to a european café: paninis, sandwiches(including some PB&J variations), apetizers, baked goods, fruit, salads, soups, etc… Philly has few places like it so i’m glad it’s here. Comfortable places to sit, a bar, tables, power outlets and yes, WiFi, of course. enjoy!

Had no idea this place existed until we struck out at a few other packed coffee shops on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered a dark roast coffee, and my friend had a vanilla latte and a white chocolate scone. Pluses: free refills on regular coffee, tasty scones, and it’s a nice, warm spot to get out of the cold. Minuses: they were selling cupcakes for $ 6 — that’s just crazy! Also, there was a slight draft coming from the hallway that connected the coffee shop to the hotel, so we actually moved farther into the coffee shop to keep warm.

I visited this place last weekend with the boyfriend because we were looking for a place near Rittenhouse to do work(i.e. write papers and study for finals). And this place really came through! I had never heard of a coffee shop/bar, and I must say, I like the concept! If we had gotten there a little earlier(before noon), I would have gotten coffee and breakfast, but instead we ordered wine and a cheese plate. The amount of cheese(while not fancy) was great for the price– we had more than enough and the pear jelly that arrived with it was really tasty. I ended up having two glasses of wine(you order and pay at the counter, which meant no annoying bill at the end). The service took a little too long for the cheese plate but it was worth it. Though we didn’t take advantage of it, I was impressed with the beer selection for a place that didn’t exclusively serve alcohol. I noticed the Ommegang brew Three Philosophers, which always indicates a decent list for me. The server was not as knowledgeable about the beer list as I expected, but he and the other workers were polite and not pushy at all– which was good because I was busy. The atmosphere was perfect for a lazy afternoon of studying and writing– the conversation wasn’t too loud and the music blended into the background nicely. The lighting wasn’t glaring and the outlets were pretty well-spaced and not scarce at all. A great place to drink coffee or beer or wine and people-watch, work, or chat!

4 stars for good service and a quality beer selection at pretty awesome prices. I happened to be in here with a couple other Unilocalers and we happened upon what might be one of the best happy hours that I’ve encountered. After selecting two beers that they were out of,(I’m famous for this) I settled on an Ithaca Cascazilla on draft. We sat and chatted in the very relaxed setting. I noticed two people off to the side studying and rattling away on their laptops. There wasn’t loud music and the staff was winding down for the evening. Pro-tip: They close at 8pm. The bill showed up and my Cascazilla was ridiculously cheap, almost Twilight Zone cheap. We inquired if this was a mistake but found out this was their happy hour pricing. Arnold put it best, I’ll be back.

Last night, I found a new happy hour spot for my rotation. My two friends and I randomly decided to check out The Coffee Bar, and I’m so glad we did. The two baristas/bartenders were very friendly and knew a lot about beer, which is always a great sign. I opted for a glass of red while my cohorts selected their brews. While checking-in on my Unilocal app, I noticed a special offer on the business listing: «$ 10 beer & lunch, Monday through Friday. Choose any sandwich, wrap or salad» and enjoy a «beer of the day.» NICE! Already planning my return visit, we grabbed the check as last call was made. I was confused to see that my $ 9 glass of wine was listed as something around $ 5 on the bill; my friends’ beers were also nicely discounted. Then we found out that happy hour runs from 6 – 8, every weekday night. The three of us left in very good spirits and we all plan to return.
