Had a great time bowling and playing games with my boyfriend and his family. We called ahead to reserve lanes but still had to wait another 30 minutes when we got there because it was a busy Saturday night. The nice thing is there’s tons of games(skee-ball, basketball shooting, life size candy crush etc) to district you while you wait. My boyfriend’s family was a little frustrated that you pay by the hour and it cuts you off right on time so we were in the middle of a game and had to stop. Not a deal breaker but slightly annoying. It was still a fun time.

If you are under 14 and don’t want to eat, it’s great for kid entertainment. For a meal, don’t waste your money. We had a variety of menu items and everything was terrible. It all was soggy and tasted like cardboard. Worst meal and waste of good money ever.

If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. We had been here once before with no problems other than poorly controlled children running amok, which was really an issue with the parents not the business. We wanted to meet friends here tonight to take our kids bowling. I checked their website to make sure to pick a day that was not a league day. We got there a little early and only half the lanes were in use, so we waited for them to get there before asking for a lane since it is timed by the hour. When they arrived, I went up to ask for two lanes and was told because of a birthday party, a petsmart event, and a league thing that no one else could bowl. This, despite the fact that half the lanes were empty the entire 30 minutes we were there waiting for our friends. There were no signs or anything alerting people to this and the place was fairly empty. The staff literally did not care at all. They’ve lost our business but clearly that did not matter to them at all.

Wow I was kind of blown away by this place and I had no idea it was even out there! Great fun for anyone of any age, bowling, arcade games, bounce houses for the kid in all of us, a nice bar set up for the adults. Sand volleyball is awesome with nice courts and sand that is easy on the feet(some places seem to use the most course sand they can find). Oh and quite surprisingly I would rate the pizza there as some of the bestthe city has to offer! It’s a little tucked away and easy to drive right by if you aren’t looking for it but that’s probably the only drawback.

Four stars for the kids, two stars for the adults, so three stars… Came here for our nephew’s birthday bash. No one, not even his mom, seemed to know why they held it here, far away from anyone’s house. It was crowded, and loud, and pretty chaotic. The kids, ours and all the others, seemed to be having a great time. The adults in our party were unanimous in our desire to flee. There is a bar and a good beer selection, so it actually might not be bad if your kid is in sight and reasonably well-behaved. But the music, the noise from the lanes, and the loud and rambunctious kids meant we stayed about 15 minutes. Pity Sweetie’s mom and sister, who stayed the whole time. There are bowling lanes, some with gutter guards so the kids have a chance. There appeared to be video games and other attractions in side rooms. I didn’t explore much. I saw crappy looking pizza, surely overpriced, and I heard the drinks were expensive. I didn’t partake of either; we got dinner elsewhere, and if we drink it will be somewhere else too. If you have a party here for your kid, don’t invite me, or don’t expect more than a brief appearance to say hi before retreating from this madhouse.

Bowling was fun, arcade was fun… service was terrible!!! We requested a server to our lane when we checked in. No one ever showed. The entire time we were there to get a drink, or a refill or a food order, we had to go track down a server.

We have never had a complaint about the entertainment part of the establishment and would rate it 4 stars. Go for the entertainment, but skip the food! Our children asked us to eat there and we reluctantly agreed after our last disappointment with the food. We should have turned tail and run when, at around 6pm on a weekday night, we were the only ones in the restaurant. It took about 10 minutes for our server to get to our table because the host told us she was outside. I understand with them being so busy(sarc). The food this time was mediocre at best but the service was not good. I believe in tipping based on the quality of service, so I tipped $ 5, which was probably a little too generous. Today, when I checked my bank account, I discovered the amount charged to my account was $ 3 more than what was on my receipt! Was this a typo when they entered the check amount? Possibly, or was it a pissed off waitress changing the amount of the tip? Either way we will NEVER patronize this place again! It’s not the amount of $$, it’s the principle of doing good business. I will be addressing this with management.

The best place to have a birthday party for a child or adult. The service is superb! They have bowling, mini bowling, arcade games, party rooms, a bar & restaurant. It’s very clean and overall a nice place. The manager(young black man) was very professional & accommodating. Our server was very nice, welcoming and attentive. Thank you. We will be back!

I came here for a work outing and thought it was a pretty great spot for a large group. We had a buffet of veggie trays, fried(but tasty) appetizers, salad, grilled chicken breast, pizzas and a chocolate fountain with fruit for dessert. I was actually pretty impressed with their food — it was definitely better than other«bowling» food I’ve had elsewhere. The space itself is open and laid out well with about 20 or so lanes against the back wall and a large bar separating the dining and bowling areas. I also noticed a pretty decent looking game room that looked appropriate for both adults and kids. The lounging area around the lanes was nice, there were comfy couches near the lane and then some high-top tables and more couches for hanging out behind them. It isn’t as snazzy as Star Lanes by Polaris, but that’s okay. It felt a bit more family friendly here. It’s located off of a busy stop and go street, but once you’re away from that, parking is a breeze in their private lot. Unfortunately, I was injured and unable to bowl but I still had a good experience here!

This was my first visit… my large family was treated very well by the deak clerks but I was terribly disappointed with the food that took too long and was less then appetizing. I work in a restaurant and when you claim something is fresh and hand made so Be It… the pizza was greasy and flimsy, the nachos had so little topping that most of it was only chips… I had a hamburger that came out cold, paper thin tomatoe and yellow ice burg lettuce that barely covered the hamburger… someone wrote the owners are sitting on a Gold Mine… tell you the truth I would go back to bowl but never… never to eat again… feed the kids at home then take them to the local fast foods… at least you will pay HALFTHEPRICE… and it will be hot. OWNERSTAKESOMETIMEANDREADUPONPROPERPRESENTATIONOFFOODANDHOWTOCHARGEAPPROPRIATELY …8.00 for a 4 oz cold burger and then pay 2.00 more for fries is ridiculous… serving on a too large plate only shows your how little your portions are … SMALL… had to ask several times for ketchup, mustard and for napkins… Really. COULDYOUPUT A HANDSANITIZERONTHEWALLBYTHELANES… and give the shoe department Lysol to spray the smelly shoes.

Terrible service. Food was mediocre. It was not very busy and it took them 45 minutes. They messed up 3 orders out of 7. Our waiter was extremely rude. I would not recommend this establishment to anymore.

I found Rule 3 on Unilocal and decided to check it out before booking a birthday party. The staff was very helpful, explained all the options, gave a tour and let us try the arcade and mini bowling before deciding. I wasn’t totally sure my kiddo could play the games in the arcade or bowl just yet, but he loved it. Didn’t want to leave, when he woke up the next morning asked me to go back there and has been talking about it nonstop since. On their website it states that due to large call and email volume about parties, to allow two days for a response, but they took down my information and said Scott would call back the following day to let me know whether my date and time was available. He did call back the next day, sent the information promised right away, really the service was perfect all the way around. I did try out the food and drinks there, and thought the table service was excellent, the place was clean and fun, an excellent alternative to other places doing kids’ birthdays and generally somewhere I think we will enjoy playing at this winter.

The bar staff is very nice and friendly. The 3 stars is for the food I ordered. I got the pizza margherita. It wasn’t what I was expecting. Too much basil sauce, too much cheese and it was burned on the edges. I guess I am a snob after eating at other pizza joints. But again, the bar staff was great.

I’m sorry, but I have to update my review to knock off a star. Please train your servers to at least know what craft beer is and what you have on tap. Our server yesterday was clueless, and had to go to the bar three times to ask 1) what was on tap, 2) what brewery the pumpkin ale was from(rivertown) and 3) if they had something that was on their beer menu(they did not). Managers, help your staff, keep your drink menu current and have draft/bottle menus for your customers.

Great place for the fam to hang out… Game room, bowling, nice bar and decent food. It is a little pricey but good value for what u spend. I recommend the fried cheese curds and pretzel bites.

I took my kids here as a special treat. They are young — 2 and 4. The bumpers weren’t working properly, then 30 minutes into our hour the lane just shut down. They fixed it, but it took some time and my kids were in the red at that point. Too much waiting around + no score(the screens filched too) + no real game = impending meltdown. My kids hadn’t started crying yet, but I knew it was coming. Not wanting the few other patrons to have to listen to it, I told the Rule 3 employee we were just going to leave, and asked for a partial refund for the 30 minutes we didn’t use. He said, «What did we fix it for if you aren’t going to stay?» I shook my head and said, «Never mind.» Took my kids and left, sans refund. I’ll never go back. It was $ 27 for one hour of bowling that we didn’t get to use. No thanks.

We took my nieces and nephew here on a Thursday night for dinner and some fun. The place was a ghost town! We pretty much had our run of the restaurant and the arcade area. Luckily, I found some coupons on my Canal Winchester calendar right before we left for the place, so we saved about $ 10 too! Overall, I can say this is a huge draw for kids or bowlers. The nice thing about this bowling alley is that it is well maintained, it doesn’t smell, and it is nice. The kids especially loved the big Pac-Man game and the kid-sized bowling lanes with or without bumpers.

This place was total garbage. Went there with a friend for a going away party. I’d never go on my own. We were served some overpriced bottle beer and watched a football game for a bit before my friend was bounced out of the bar for no reason. «GETTHEFUCKOUTBEFOREWECALLTHECOPS.» But no explanation. It was mind-blowing. I guess Rule 3 is that you aren’t allowed to stay at Rule 3 for very long.

It’s alright. Pretty fancy, all brand new. I expected there to be more alleys, but I swear, I only counted maybe 8, not counting the 4 lanes that are in the private section, behind the big, red, velvet curtain. I’m worthless in comparing prices, as I had never bowled in Columbus prior to. Per lane, per hour, up to 6 people allowed, you’ll spend between $ 12 and $ 30. Overpriced bar drinks. Overpriced food and appetizers. I’ll probably pass the next time I’m asked to meet some pals out here.

Been to this location a few times with the sister and nieces for some bowling fun. We technically live closer to other bowling lanes but chose to come to Rule 3 because it is relatively new, clean and family friendly. There is definitely something to keep kids entertained for hours between the bowling, arcade and in the summer months, outdoor activities. For the adults, they have a good bar and restaurant area filled with all the best foods(nachos, pizza, etc). If your a parent and need to get the kids out of the house for a few hours, head to Rule 3. You shouldn’t be disappointed.
