Best food. Like eating at mom’s. Green chili burritos are the best. Although they are a little skimpy with their guacamole on their taquitos.

LOVELOVELOVE this place! It honestly really is a hidden gem in pico. You have probably driven past it numerous times and never noticed it or thought about trying it. But if you like mexican food, Mario’s is sooo good! Mario’s is super spacious inside, there’s so many tables– its perfect for large families or a group. You seat yourself after ordering at the counter. Then they call your number and you go get your food from the counter. The prices are so reasonable and the quality is so good, thats what keeps me coming back! I order the chili relleno plate here because they give you 2 plus rice and beans for about $ 5ish. Anywhere else, they only give you 1 and its more expensive and more oily. Mario’s is the besssst for chili relleno plates. And their hardshell tacos are another favorite of mine. You can even choose the combination plate with 1 chile relleno and 1 hardshell taco with rice & beans if you felt like having both!

The bean and cheese burritos are sooooo good i love them. Customer service is ehhhh h. The young girls need some work. They were very rude, sadly. I was helped by a woman last week with dark black hair and red lipstick. She was very kind and seemed happy to help. Because of the good burritos and special quesadillas and workers like the woman with red lipstick is what will keep me coming back. :)

I’ve been coming here for years now and we don’t even live that close by. We make special trips to come taste the deliciousness that is Mario’s Tacos. It’s family owned and run and the owners treat you just like family. They always remember us even if we haven’t come by in ages. I always order a Special Quesadilla which is a quesadilla with pastrami and guacamole. It’s so fricking good! Their tacos are also delish. Nice and crispy and very flavourful. My hubs loves the taquitos and orders some every time. He just devours them! Great place to have some tasty food, prices aren’t too bad and you can easily bring kids if need be. This place is order at the counter and cash only. Their is an ATM inside, but I try to come prepared. It’s always clean and homey inside so if you are in the neighbourhood try this local gem!

I would drive 100 miles just to eat here. It’s that good. The chili verde burrito and the machaca burritos are the best! Cash only which sucks, but still worth the 5 stars.

I love their homemade fries and chile verde burritos. I don’t really order any other food off their menu because this combo never fails me! One of my favorite Mexican food places and their prices are very reasonable.

Great food. Been coming here for years. Definitely worth the drive. Only complaint and reason for not giving them 5 stars is how tight they are with their salsa. I go ordering nearly $ 50 in food for 5 people and they never want to give more than 3 small cups of salsa. Each time I have to ask 3 separate times for more. Other than that, chile verde quesadilla and fries are my fav

We have been coming to Marios Taco for the last 36 years, before our(4) children were born. Now our grandchildren love this place to, and its always a treat when we are able to order«To Go «and watch a great movie at home with the entire family. Love the chili cheese fries, and the Carne Asada burritos.

Delicious Mexican food. Though the place is very old, the food is great. Shredded beef tacos and carne asada burrito are the best.

This is a hidden gem in Pico Rivera! All the natives know this and we almost don’t want to tell you about this place, because it’s so good! I recommend the special quesadilla, green burrito, taquitos and their fries are super tasty. Fries with guacamole even more tastier :) Overall tasty food!

This place is at the top of the list of places I have to stop at when I’m visiting my hometown. Maybe its nostalgia, but their food always tastes AMAZING. I always order either shredded beef tacos, the green chile burrito, bean n cheese burritos, and chili cheese fries. Weird assortment but when you try them simultaneously, you’ll understand. I dont think this place will stop existing. This is such a tried and true Mexican joint that has stood the test of time. Those old doors never stop opening and closing from all the patrons that come through here. They have enough seats for all of them too.

DON’T SUPPORTTHISPLACE! I have never for the life of me been to an establishment that treats their patrons so poorly! They must be either engaging in illegal activity behind the scenes or living the high life with no monetary worries as they treat their patrons like we’re inconveniences versus the valued customers who’ve kept this unprofessional establishment going after all these years. The owners along with their miserable son have the most insufferable attitudes I’ve ever experienced and act as if they’re doing us the favor by serving their patrons their mediocre(at best) food. I would find those giving this place glowing reviews suspect because THEREISNOWAY anyone could find their experience at Mario’s thoroughly enjoyable unless they’re used to eating subpar food and have no issues with being treated like crap! My parents have been patrons of this place for years driving from Santa Clarita to support what has now become a classless establishment. But recently, they’ve been expressing how this place has gone down hill in food and service. Our last two experiences compelled me to write this review as their is no denying their indignant attitudes anymore. On the last two occasions we’ve visited this hole, instead of being greeted with embracive smiles and warm hello’s, we were met with looks of resentment and irritation without so much as a friendly«how can I help you»? I chuckled in amazement as I knew right away that my parents weren’t exaggerating. They proceeded to take our order with their uncongenial body language acting as if it was such an inconvenience that we were even there. We sat down and once our order came, they provided us with a total of 3 minuscule sized cups of salsa for the 3 of us to share. Uh really?! So my mother went up and requested more and the miserable jerk at the counter began to address her in a condescending manner letting her know that they already provided us with salsa. She explained that it wasn’t enough and the salsa had already been consumed. So the jerk had the nerve to ask her to prove it and bring the empty cups as evidence. WTF?! My mother was completely taken aback and she said no and that she would pay for the additional salsa. Instead of saying ok — the jerk still refused and began giving my mother a hard time saying we don’t charge for salsa. Well if they don’t charge for salsa then what is the BIGEFFINGDEAL?! My mom said«so what you’re saying is, you don’t charge for salsa yet you don’t want to provide me with anymore even if I’m offering to pay for it»? It was evident at that point that it had nothing to do with the salsa or the money. Instead, it was psychological game of control for this asshat to which my dad responded in kind by getting up and getting VERY loud to which the aforementioned asshat finally relented giving my mother the salsa! We could not believe what we were experiencing and other patrons who were there as well were in shock as they too were being treated the same way. My dad concluded his angry rebuke by telling this asshat that if they hate their jobs and patrons so much THENTHEYSHOULDCLOSETHEDAMNRESTAURANT and get the heck out of here! The asshat was in shock and didn’t say another word. Another patron who was also in line chimed in and told them that the bathroom was absolutely filthy and they should have it renovated or thoroughly cleaned because it’s giving people the perception that the owners are nothing but pigs! This place is a disgrace to great Mexican food and professional courteous eating establishments everywhere. How anyone supports this place is beyond me! But I guess when there are people out there who have no standards when it comes to quality of food and service, there will always be fools keeping this poor excuse for a restaurant in business. HORRIBLEPLACE!

The food is okay. I would not say«Wow» Unfortunately, what I did not like is the fact that they don’t accept Credit Card, really? This is the new millennium Instead they have an ATM inside their business and charge their customers a fee to withdrawal money. No value for the customers …

This has been here forever, i remember coming here as a kid and it pretty much looks the same today! Family owned and run business that usually has quite a few employees working during my visits. Most times i have had nice friendly service. The food is good and not too expensive. I usually get the taquitos and a burrito. They do have burgers & fries too. Plenty of seating areas and they have lottery service here. Cash only!

This place is legendary in our family because our family’s go way back to when they open there first place. They have been coming here for years. The service today was extremely fast. We always take extra home with us because we live a bit far so we always make the trip worth it by taking some extra home to have later :) We always get green and red burritos. No mater what my family will continue to come here for the good food and I’m guessing memories :)

CASHONLYSPOT w ATM onsite. There is Chase Bank w ATM a block west. Location: North east corner of Whittier Blvd & Passons Blvd. A few blocks west of the 605 freeway & the San Gabriel river bike path. Parking: Private lot & street. Environment: It’s a mini museum of sorts w Presidential portraits, selfies w famous politicians, sponsored little league team plaques, & other knick knacks throughout. There is an TV screen tuned in to local channels in the largest room. The smaller room has no TV. Both rooms are very spacious, however, the larger room(walk in all the way) has several tables that can accommodate larger groups. BTW you can buy scratchers or play on vending machines too. lol Food: The food is typical Los Angeles style Mexican-American food that uses a yellow cheese, good but goopy refried beans. I will mention they did use Mexican cheese on my bean tostada. My little brother, his little boy & I frequent Mario’s because the portions are respectable for the price. My nephew loves their bean & cheese burrito but the best part is the 3 of is can eat for under $ 20. Our favorites include: — Shredded beef burrito — Bean & cheese burrito(no meat) — Chile relleno burrito(no meat) — Bean tostada topped w lettuce, tomato, etc.(no meat) — Fries(this is the USA after all lol) are pretty good & better than MCd’s IMHO(no meat) WC: Multiple stalls available, spacious & clean.
