This place is great! I just love it here. The Lavender Lattes have captured my heart.

you know it hurts to vote negative on my hometowns businesses but sometimes the customer service and product are just so piss poor it affects your whole day. My sister stopped by the other day and working were a young man and girl who barely even acknowledge their existence and the coffee wasn’t even that good. They’ll lose more customers with service like that then anything else.

This is the best coffee shop in Pittsburg in my opinion. It has the best iced chai latte hands down, the coffee tastes like what coffee should taste like, earthy and robust. I also like their pastries, the cruffins are amazing. They have a customer loyalty program that can give you free drinks which I also love. It’s cute and not a chain and I’m all for giving back to the community.

I love this place! Their lattes are amazing! All the lattes with the homemade syrups are out of this world(lavender, honey badger, and the vanilla.) I would definitely recommend trying one of these during your visit! I always get a lavender latte from here whenever I pass through Pittsburg and it is always subtly sweet and delicious! As a huge chai fan, I also tried their chai tea latte but it was soooo incredibly sweet I couldn’t manage to take more than a sip. The workers here are always pleasant and accomodating when I have visited and I knew they would have remade it for me if I hadn’t already hit the road before tasting my drink. The café is located inside a bank, which makes it a quiet and nice spot to study. They have great Wi-Fi and plenty of seating. Definitely recommend!

Cute little coffee spot inside the bank. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and there was a good amount of people sitting on the tables chatting, and some«studying» on their laptops. We were standing far away from the register just looking over their menu, as this was our first time here, we weren’t sure what we were going to order. The lady asked us if we needed help. I told her this was our first time there and she quickly gave us suggestions based on our liking. I got a blended vanilla latte with extra pump of caramel. The hubby got a regular latte. My blended latte was better than Sarbucks for sure. Its not watered down and i can actually taste the coffee in it. The vanilla and caramel wasn’t over powering and it wasn’t too sweet. They too also have a frequent program, you just give them your name or phone number i can’t remember and you’ll receive a free beverage after a # of drinks is accumulated. If i lived in Pittsburg i would frequent this cute shop. But next time I’m close by i will surely try something else. Thank you Steeltown for a great first impression and welcoming customer service.

A total Pittsburg hotspot! Randomly found in a bank, this space is always packed. Finding a table or a seat can be hard! And while I enjoyed my coffee, and the space is large and nice, it’s loud and distracting. I went to go do work, but in all actuality it wasn’t really the best place for that and forget taking a phone call. Very light food offerings: think some morning pastries and I see online they also offer up panini’s, quiche and chicken pot pie. While I didn’t dabble, there’s no real kitchen, so everything will be reheated via microwave or toaster/panini press. Overall, not a bad spot to pick up some coffee when trying to support local, not quite the coffee shop that works for me!

The atmosphere was soo relaxing the food chicken pot pie and hot chocolate was good. However, one of the Batista’s attitudes sucked he was very cranky and seemed like he had an attitude when I asked for my whipped cream who the heck gets mad about adding more whipped cream to hot chocolate. That guy needed a real attitude check

Very cool coffee house. It’s located in the same building and shares lobby space with a Mechanics’ Bank. It’s a little odd when you initially walk in. I took a little jaunt out to Pittsburg, CA just to see what was out there. However, due to it being a holiday many of the stores were not open, their downtown area is small but cute. Like I said the coffee house shares the building space with a Mechanics’ Bank, but it’s cute, quaint and different, which I prefer. I wasn’t sure if I had found the right place, since I had heard there were comfy chairs. When I walked in, I first noticed the 4 person tables with white linen tablecloths, before I saw the chairs. Seemed a bit odd for a coffee house. Both baristas were really helpful, friendly and nice! It actually seems more like a little bistro, rather than a coffee house. I ordered the Dark Cocoa, surprisingly it was only $ 2.50 it was really good, tasty and definitely hit the spot for me. I had wanted to try their quiche, but unfortunately they were sold out. I do like that their menu is written on their wall, of what seems to be made from some kind of wood or material that is like a chalkboard, as some of the text for their products was smudged. Because it was a holiday, parking was a breezeIt’s all street parking with a 2 hour limit and no meters, nice!

Today, 12÷5÷15, I decided to return here and give them another try(after not being here for over a year). I’m glad they have hired different workers as they are much more friendly. They greeted me(as well as other customers) with a smile and an upbeat demeanor. The two guys working behind the counter helped each other providing food customer service. Oh, the coffee was as I had remembered… very good! Because if the changes I’ve observed, I may just come here a little more often.

This one-star review is thanks to the manager/owner/whatever he is. This used to be my favorite place. I’ve been an avid customer all through my high school years and even as a college student now, I am compelled to pay Steeltown a visit when I come home for breaks. But I don’t think I’ll be returning. Adrian, the manager/owner is disgustingly passive-aggressive and should never again involve himself in customer service. It’s a bit hostile, I think, to see people walk in with studying material and immediately walk over, pretending to wipe already clean tables next to them and ask them what they want to drink. Like Jesus Christ, can we get a second? Furthermore, my mom told me that her office staff held a small, eight person meeting in the café, and this same owner guy came over and told her group that they were not conducive to the coffeehouse environment. This was after, of course, every person who came to said meeting bought a drink for themselves. They were essentially forced to leave even as paying customers. What a fucking prick. My mom also added that the coffee she got was shit, and that our Keurig machine can make way, way better coffee. Maybe, Adrian, you should make COFFEE that’s more conducive to the coffeehouse environment?

Hidden gem in Downtown Pittsburg! I’ve been in the area several times and never noticed this cozy coffee shop until I started looking for a local coffee shop that wasn’t a Starbucks or big chain. They serve creative drinks that they make with house-made syrups! Yay for authenticity! I’ve been almost everyday since I discovered this place a week and a half ago and every employee that I have met thus far has been friendly, spunky and passionate about the products. The coffee shop is bike-rider friendly and with the huge windows the natural sunlight pours in. I’ve had my coffee al fresco, inside on a cozy club chair and at the coffee bar while doing work. Go support this local business as you will not be disappointed in the service, product or atmosphere.

The location is great as it is downtown and a public square is about a block away that you can walk to and enjoy your drink. There is no outdoor seating on site. The drinks are fantastic and so is the service. The food was okay. The bathroom was clean. My only real beef with this place is that it shares it’s floor with a bank and that kinda kills the ambiance.

The Delta area of the East Bay is full of Starbucks. It’s nice to know there’s a coffee place where it has that modern localvore vibe. Steeltown is in a up and coming neighborhood that is revitalizing it’s self. The neighborhood needs business so it would be bustling. There are a lot of independent own business in the area. I just love the fact I can support a business that aims to be independent. I got great service at this place. It’s clean also it’s also inside of a bank. Strange concept but it’s cool. I suggest the strawberry banana smoothie also the ice blended latte. The coffee here is like Koffi from Palm Springs. One of the best coffee I have ever drank. I highly rate this place for anyone who doesn’t want Starbucks. Oh it’s a bit cheaper also.

I’m so glad I found this place! I found this little gem as I was searching for a place to kill some time in between class and work to get some work done. Their service is so friendly and I always end up striking a conversation with some of the employees. And the environment is just so cute and welcoming! So far, I’ve tried the lavender latte, the honey badger latte, and the honey badger latte iced. I loved all three so i definitely recommend them! And if you’re staying awhile, tell the barista you want the drink«for here» instead of «to go» so you can get your coffee in a little mug :) Their paninis and cookies are great too in case you’re looking for a bite to eat! I’m quitting my job in Antioch but I’d still make my way over here because I’m in love with this place so much! A great place to get some work done as well as getting some good ol’ coffee.

What is all the talk about? Seriously the coffees disgusting and the service is so bad. Don’t even waste your time coming here. After ordering a vanilla latte as pictured on Unilocal I was given a regular to go cup. after speaking with the clerk about wanting what was pictured on their Unilocal side he assured me he would make another one but for an extra charge. I received my vanilla latte alright in a rush with a what looked like scribbled designs just to shut me up I guess. This place is s**t!!! Don’t waste your time or money

What a cute and adorable café! It’s spacious, airy and shanty chic. Definitely boasts the style that hipsters would come biking to with their fixies, if there were any hipsters. I love how it adds the trendy flavor this empty downtown Pittsburg needs but I wouldn’t say it’s my cup of tea. First of all, the inside is straight up awkward as it shares space with the neighboring bank. I mean, they even use the same bathroom key. I thought this would be a nice place to sit down and do some work but the lack of intimacy from the lack of walls was a bit distracting. They do have free wifi, plenty of outlets and loads of empty seats though! The biggest issue for me was their espresso. For a coffee shop, that’s kinda important, right? I had a cup of their Americano and cappuccino and they both sucked. It’s small, expensive, and tasted mostly like the added water/milk. It didn’t even wake me up. Maybe they’re better known for their sweet drinks and pastries? I guess I’ll never know! The baristas were nice and the service was pretty decent. They even have their own rewards system if you visit often. It’s just a shame I wouldn’t want to come back again any time soon.

Had to pass time while waiting for jury duty and found this sweet coffee shop down the road. I wish this coffee shop was in my town, we need another option other than Starbucks and Peets. Lavender latte!!! $ 4.25 large — I think it was flavored by a syrup, it didn’t taste as if they steeped the coffee with lavender flowers. Still delicious and I would probably get it over a regular latte. They also have a lot of other unique flavors. This was a decent place to work, I just sat in the corner near an outlet and kept to myself. I saw other reviewers talk about the poor service, but didn’t get a hint of any of that. They were grateful that I was visiting from out of town. On a random Wednesday morning, the«boys club» came to talk and I found that to be quite interesting. Seems like a good place to hang out.

How did I JUST discover this hidden gem?! Tucked away in downtown Pittsburg is this beautiful café! It shares a large space with Mechanic Bank and separated with a clear glass wall. I absolutely love the vibe in here. It’s spacious and simple! The walls are hung with artistic portraits of people that can even be bought I believe since there is a price tag next to it($ 100+). The customer service was great! They really try to make an effort to get to know their regulars. There are only two thing I don’t like: –they charge $ 1 for hot water… At least it’s free refills. –it’s freeeezing in there but I guess that’s all cafes All and all, great experience is going probably going to be my go-to place if I want to get some work done. They also offer fast wifi!

I decided to take a detour to Pittsburg today on my way to Walnut Creek and check this place out because of the high reviews. The atmosphere of this place is just straight up weird… and not in a good way. First of all, it shares the same space with Mechanics Bank. I’m not just saying the bank is next door, there is actually a huge wall that was obviously knocked down to join the two businesses together. As I’m sitting at my table, I can see directly into the bank. Not a fan of this setup. I ordered a Lavender Latte for $ 4 and just thought it was okay. The lavender taste wasn’t exceptionally strong and the coffee didn’t stand out in any way. As I’m looking around, this is definitely a place that locals go. People seem to know each other by name and know the staff working here. I don’t regret stopping by, but I won’t go out of my way to come back again.
