Philly’s Best

I didn’t go inside, family brought home the food. I liked the onion rings, dipped in batter and golden brown. I got the Philly’s Best (cheesesteak, peppers, mushrooms, cheese wiz and I added onions). Great bread! Good vegetables but sorry to say the meat did not wow me. Just average, not very beefy tasting. My roommate got the cheesesteak fries and they were a hefty serving and she loved them. Dinner and breakfast/​lunch!

Food was bland… when ordering your food, make sure you look at what comes with what… the middle eastern guy at register asks you if you want fries or onion rings… and just hands you the largest drink they have… apparently they charge separate for everything… watched several Peoples face in shock when he gave them their totals at the register… place way overpriced

Kinda expensive but the food is good at least. I like to come here for my cheat meals because eating this type of food regularly makes me full of ragrets.

Saw the philly chicken cordon bleu sandwich and I was sold, I walked in and asked for that sandwich and found that the combo is not an option… 15 bucks for a fast food sandwich!!! Now I know, should have went to Avalon right in front of this location… You ask for anything else and its way over priced, sandwich was decent but wouldn’t deter me from going anywhere else…

Really like this philly’s best. I get coupons via email and it makes it even better! The guy who usually takes our order is super friendly and nice. The food comes out fairly fast and when I ask him for extra cheese on my fries, he doesn’t charge extra for it which is delightful. I always order the philly’s best chicken and the boyfriend orders the mushroom steak. We love it!

This place is really really good and that’s why I’m giving it 5 stars. Many places claim to make the best Philly, but this place actually makes a really great Philly. The Philly’s Best is my favorite, although I could do without the sweet peppers but it’s still a great sub.

I love the sandwiches here, enough I’m willing to overlook the shoddy service. I can tell the main guy here is all about money.
I got a $ 5 coupon that they Placentia center gave as an incentive to shop their farmers market. Phillys best was one of the stores you could redeem at. When I tried to redeem it they refused to accept it even though the expiration date wasn’t up yet. He just said the owner decided not to take them anymore. There was no warning saying they could stop taking them so that was pretty shady but I didn’t mind since it was only $ 5. But I did mind enough to include it in my review.
Another time, I phone ordered a sandwich and i came a bit late. Maybe 20−30min instead of 10 – 15 minutes. When I got there that guy and the chef laughed at me and they said something in another language. I didn’t understand but it was the snickering type of laugh. The kind where you know they said something bad about you.
Like I said, I go there for the food not the service so I’ll go back. But I’ll write it like it is on the reviews
UPDATE: I don’t know if they read this review or things just changed, but they have been extremely nice. So nice I had to update this review to stay accurate.
Great food and now with great service, will def be back!

I recommend passing this place up and going to bronx sandwich co. I have tried two different locations yorba linda and fullerton. The meat taste old in both places! This place is expensive and should have better quality of meat!

I am a Philly native and this place is really good. We used to live around the block and would frequent the restaurant often. They are reasonably priced and normally have good coupons if you look online. The Cheesesteak Fries and really good.
I also love their meatball sandwich when it is offered. Go here. You will be happy you did!

The store location is off the beaten path and located by the rear side of the plaza. They do have ample seating. We shared the cheese steak and fries. They do have a pickle station next to the soda machine. The sandwich was tasty and it was the perfect meal for quick eats.

I love Phillys best, but this location to me seems like their meat portions have decreased and the cheesesteaks are less satisfying.
Might be just this location, might be all of them. But they just arent as good as they used to be 5+ years ago.

Not sure the rest of these folks eating here have ever had a cheese steak sandwich anywhere else in their lives but this is hands down the number 1 spot around Orange County. If you want better then go to philly and try pats or genos but if you compare this place to any other restaurant in Orange County and think this is by far superior then you have no idea what a cheese steak is suppose to taste like.
If your reviewing on service then that’s a different story but as far as the product they provide its 2^nd to none. I absolutely love this place

Love it !!! I been here now twice and trying all the sandwiches… addition to my menu of places to get a quick bite but darn good food. Nice clean place guys that work there are pretty cool and serves you well. Try it and you wont regret it.

This food is terrible. They gave me the worst overcooked fries that were brown and the cheesesteak had barely any meat. I will definitely not waste my money here again. There’s a bagel shop right next door that makes great burgers, way better than the trash sandwich I paid for.

Philly’s Best of Placentia, CA! Gets the Jurassic Stamp of Approval for best Philly cheese steak I’ve had in Southern California. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, and delicious food! It has 1 CON only because the fries are a bit greasy and I prefer crunchy but that’s personal preference!
The Sandwhich «philly’s best» is always packed with flavor and filling for the price! I would probably get chips next time but I’ve eaten here multiple times and the Sandwhich has never been less than excellent!
