Great food, great service, I’ve been going to Hey Day for 10 years and have never had a bad meal. They hey day salad is my lunchtime go to.

Excellent wine, beer, baked brie, caesar salad and lobster bisque soup. The 2 skirt steak main entrees were overcooked(ordered med. rare/served well done), lacked flavor along with the vegetables and potatoes. These 2 out of the 4 meals were very disappointing.

Amazing service with friendly staff who always kept our water glasses full. The dishes had a unique combination of flavors that made for a dining experience that was a perfect end to our day of hiking. The butternut bacon pizza and the hey day salad were the perfect combination. Some of the most interesting flavors I’ve ever tasted.

So we were here about a month ago and loved it. We were nearby again, this time with our parents and had to try it again. The mushroom bruschetta(as an appetizer) was truly spectacular. The sauce is heavy so we split it four ways. From there we all had sandwiches and every one was great! Large quantities so the lack of a side is not something to worry about. Highly recommend this place.

Just had the heyday salad with chicken and the chicken was so dry! I couldn’t even chew it. The salad itself was really good but I don’t know what was going on with that chicken:/ I would recommend salad without the chicken. Can’t believe I paid 15 dollars for that… ugh

Just had lunch here, and it was delicious! Had an amazing pizza with ham, Brie, balsamic, arugula, amazing combo. Small place but worth waiting to get in.

Wow what a great place to eat while in Placerville. My first time here last week and I loved it. Came in early evening on Sunday and not to crowded. Seated quickly. Many menu items to choose from I chose the Panni and Ceasear salad. Both tasty and reasonable. Best part of the meal was the dessert. Home made brownie with home made chocolate sauce. YUMYUM. Will come back again when I am in town for sure.

I am a local and really do need to support Heyday more. I ate here a little over a week ago and had the best lobster bisque I’ve ever had. Spot on service, excellent food, worth every penny.

From our other reviews about Heyday Café, you already know what Gigi and I think about them, their food & their wine. This review is mainly about the wonderful service we recently received from one of their newer additions — Nathan! Nathan is smart, efficient, has a wonderful sense of humor, and really knows his stuff. We were really impressed! All the best! Ben Gay III WWW.BFG3.COM

My absolute favorite place to eat when I go back to visit Placerville. It has this ability to make you feel like you’re eating at a fancy restaurant, but yet everyone is totally casual. It’s one of those places you could wear a little black dress to, or a jeans and tshirt. It’s a small venue, but there is plenty of seating and I’ve never had to wait for long if nothing is available right away. Ive actually been here every year for my birthday for the past three years. The food, the wine, the service and the cozy atmosphere always makes me feel and home and never ever disappoints. This past visit I ordered the salmon salad, and just as our waiter promised, it was out of this world. The salmon was cooked perfectly and I wish I knew what the dressing was so I could make it and use it on pretty much every other salad I make. For dessert I had the fudge brownie and my sister had this lemon-y gingerbread thing. Oh man. My mouth is watering just thinking about them again!

A big group of us stopped here yesterday for lunch on our way back from South Lake Tahoe to the bay area, and from the very beginning it was a top notch experience. The ambiance, the small cozy setting, the welcoming servers, all gave this place a great vibe from the start. Then we tried a beer on tap, it was delicious, and our food came. A few of us are vegan, and there were a few dishes to accommodate us, and they were superb. The orders came quickly despite the place being packed. it was absolutely amazing, and the servers were just perfect with taking our orders quickly… bringing the little ones crayons, and doing it all with a genuine smile. Let me say again that the food was DELICIOUS! And we will absolutely go back here some day in the future. 5STARSALLTHEWAY!!!

Possible the worst pizza I’ve ever had and the service was SLOW. The staff was nice enough but just didn’t have it together on a busy Sunday afternoon. I’ll pass on this next time I’m in the area.

Awesome place for lunch if you’re staying nearby or making your way to Tahoe. Got there around 11:30 Saturday on a three day weekend and it was just the right time to get seated immediately before people gradually trickled in. I got the BLT panini w/a side of the lobster bisque and both were excellent — def the best panini I’ve ever had. GF got the vegetarian wrap and that was also tasty, though I’d say the panini is what this place is better known for and what I’ll be coming back for in the future. On top of the food, service was phenomenal by the entire wait staff.

They say that the butternut squash salad is a recipe handed down through generations, for special occasions, but I have to say it’s the best salad I have ever eaten, period. The flavors of the spices on the squash, and the combination of the almonds, goat cheese, bacon, red onions, and the vinegar dressing make me want to eat it all over again. My Husband had the turkey, cranberry, stuffing panini, and I had the chipotle chicken breast with avocado and pepper jack panini… This chef is just amazing. We ordered all of our meal again, to go, so we could enjoy it at home tomorrow. That’s something we have never done before. Wow! There’s a reason these guys are number one.

Sounds like the beginning of a bad joke, 2 vegans and a picky omnivore walk into a restaurant… Waiters were very friendly and knowledgeable, the kitchen was incredibly accommodating and the food was outstanding. Any vegan(or omnivore) looking for a fab meal would be a fool to not stop here. We had the seasonal veg pizza sans cheese and the butternut squash salad sans cheese and bacon and can recommend 1000%. They were so good they even found a vegan dessert solution. Keep up the great work guys

We came here at 2PM for lunch. There were a number of people were at the place but we were seated immediately. I ordered the incredible sounding truffle chicken pizza 12 inch. And a root beer. The kids ordered a kids size pepperoni pizza and cheese pizza. My pizza was great. I heard dessert here was great so we stayed and had dessert. I will post after this. Had a great time and great meal. I would highly recommend this place! OK we got the apple pie, brownie sundae, crème brûlée. They’re all great and all were sharing proportions. Staying for dessert is a must!

This place is tucked in a corner on Main Street. It’s got no more than ten tables, and it was fairly full when we went on a Thursday evening. The ambiance is nice — classy without being at all stuffy. Service was attentive and helpful. They have a pretty good wine list at a variety of price points. I ordered a salad and a small pizza. Their salads are listed full size on the menu, but are available as half-size as well. They have a really interesting variety of salads which is nice. My husband got a pasta dish. Both our meals were good, but not the best I’ve ever had. My pizza was something like $ 14 and was truly«small»(think Round Table personal pizza size). It was enough for my dinner and I was satisfied, but I felt like for the price, it should have been larger or cost less, or have been the best pizza of my life. My husband was satisfied with his pasta. Our meal set us back about $ 70, with a glass of wine each, one salad and two entrees. We will probably go back, but at this price point I think there might be better options.

Nice trendy eatery on Main St in Placerville. Great spot for locals or travelers passing through onto Lake Tahoe to stop and have a(little on the expensive side, however worth it) bite to eat. Many options with eye pleasing results. Atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. The place is on the smaller side but has that cozy feel. Took Mom out to lunch and we both decided the Garlic BLT sounded great. $ 12.50. It was delish with thick bacon, avocado, provolone, lettuce and tomatos with garlic asiago aioli. Super yummy. Mom had the house made red potato salad for her side and I had the lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was very good, not too thick but not too thin. Garnished with bread crumbs and cilantro. They have many, many wines to choose from, we went with Speakeasy Big Daddy IPA and a Corona, Mom had the later. Service from Nathan W. was awesome. He was attentive and didn’t bug us asking about our meal every 5 minutes. Restroom was clean and trendy as well. Loved the tile! Your able to purchase wine as well.
