Just as an update this restaurant does not disappoint. It is always good, quality food with an excellent atmosphere that works for dinner for tow or dinner with friends. When you come bring a nice bottle of wine and sit down to a great meal.

Ordered the house sampler and the Chicken with Penne. Very generous portions. Delivery was on time. Everything was great. Will order again.

Arrived for lunch and was seated right away. Had the chicken pesto and it was delicious. Generous portions, and meal included this great tasting soup called roasted peppers with crab meat. I asked for my chicken to be grilled and linguine is also included. Amazed at all the food I got at a low price !!

Friday night at Positano’s is an absolute blast! Great dinner with friends and a great DJ playing our favorite tunes from the 70’s and 80’s. The owner Mena got all of us up dancing. This is the place to be for us on a Friday night!

I ate here earlier today for my best friend’s birthday. Small, quaint restaurant with a lovely outdoor setting. Due to the perfect summer weather, the 11 of us ate outside. Service was very attentive and the waiters were very polite. Served us with a smile:) As for the food, the bread was warm and crisp, and the olive oil was rich in spices. I ordered the penne vodka-wasn’t the best yet certainly was not the worst. I’m not italian food expert, but the flavors were not as strong as I’d like it to be, and I can make better meatballs. That being said, it’s still a yummy meal, just nothing special. Presentation was very appealing. Price is reasonable, atmosphere is great, service is spot on, and food is decent.

I was here as part of a party of 14 for a family reunion, and the service was impeccable. Joe, our waiter, was the perfect blend of attentive, amiable, and unobtrusive. Food itself was excellent. I had the Pasta Fagioli as a starter followed by the Veal Pesto with shrimp and roasted peppers. To finish off the meal, I had an amazing cappuccino and biscotti. The restaurant is BYO, and we were aware of this going in, so no loss there. I would definitely return here again, and will reccommend to anyone traveling in the area.

More of an active adult cafeteria than a trip to amalfi coast(where Positano actually sits on along the cliffs against the sea). And yes, I’ve actually been there!(see Poseidon) * very cool mosaic at the entry but I only get to look at it for a few seconds, then # rows and rows of tables. Blah. Bla blah. Bala blah. I guess they’ve done a pretty good job at using what clearly was designed to be a bank branch office at the south end of this faux-village. Needs more to draw my eyes up. Ok enough of the ADey crap. # entry is not clear. Needs a sign to tell me to go inside and wait for a host. Or put one of the people running around at the host stand! Instead I waited at what must have been the take out window until the owner(?) yells at me to «Go in! Go in!» Gotta love jersey! # Lack of organization on front of house means everything is all over the place and you may wait a long time for service They are not understaffed, but yet everyone’s running! What the heck?! And I’m still waiting for 15 minutes later for water or a hello from a server!!! * but then when they do arrive it’s service with a smile! Nice! # bread is all this wonder-bread blandness but without the salt or corn syrup. Bland!(Same with the pizza crust.) * too bad because that olive oil for dipping was all about the green extra-virgin goodness. # gravy is SOOO salty. Wow. Guess it’s to make up for the bread, but, No. # drinking straws abound(see above) Once again I’m out of place and I don’t belong here. Fail.

This was place was great! Went for lunch and tried the lobster ravioli, ravioli Valentino, and the salmon positano. All the dishes were amazing, in my opinion. Extremely flavorful and unique, and the perfect portions! We also had the chocolate soufflé and that was amazing as well; very rich chocolate! The staff was friendly and the entire atmosphere was warm and inviting. The prices were very reasonable as well! Can’t wait to go back and try more items from the menu! Left this place extremely satisfied!

If I could give this place negative stars I would… There are not enough words in the English language to describe how awful this place is. This establishment has absolutely no redeeming qualities: over priced, subpar food, and the nasty and rude management. One would think an Italian place would have decent pizza but the pizza I’ve gotten here is the saddest most sickly looking excuse for pizza I’ve ever seen. What turned me off about this place ultimately was the incredibly rude and nasty management. I have never been treated so poorly by a wait staff and management team in my life. They treated me as if I was somehow imposing upon them by eating at their establishment. I’d say save yourself the trouble and never ever go here.

MASSIVE portions but felt incredibly sick afterwards. The restaurant had the feeling that it just couldn’t make up it’s mind. It’s a pretty place with a lot of potential but definitely needs more work. The pasta side dish that came with the meals could be a meal of it’s own but you could tell it was from a huge reheated batch

We enjoy the ambiance here. Inside, the muted, design and feel of the place is quiet and private. Weather permitting, there is additional outdoor seating that provides some variety and spice to the experience. I hate to admit but we’ve grown to love their Salmon Positano so much that we rarely order anything else. Perfectly cooked salmon on top of a bed of sautéed spinach with garlic. It is BYOB. Nice service, and a very nice getaway in Plainsboro.

chicken parmesan was below average, $ 23 tilapia was just ok, lunch sandwiches are just bad — any deli would make better sandwiches. I’m not going back there for lunch or dinner.

We were in search of a vegetarian place and after looking at the menu online, we felt like we couldn’t go wrong with pasta and pizza. We were promptly seated when we first arrived. Not sure of how large the portions were, we got a pie of half plain and half veggie pizza, and two pasta dishes… the penne vodka and the penne Emiliana. We ended up pack more than half home. :) Both dishes came with either soup or salad and we chose salad. The house balsamic dressing really made the salad stand out. The veggie side of the pizza had a little too much onions for my liking but my friend enjoyed it very much. My favorite dish was the penne vodka… it was super flavorful and creamy. Even without the proscuitto, it was delicious. The penne Emiliana had great texture with the roasted eggplant and peppers topped with smoked mozzarella. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came out at a quick pace. Our total was $ 42 and we both felt like it was really worth the price. We only found out later that their take out/paper menu has coupons inside. And as we left, the owner/manager had us pick out another coupon from a fish bowl. We got $ 6 on our next order of $ 35 or more. Sweet deal. We’ll definitely be back.

This place is horrible. The fact that the owner, from Italy, would put this kind of low quality, tasteless food on a table is a disgrace. Stick to pizza at Romeos.

This place is not appropriate for large gatherings. Just came from after a baptism, the room was reserved. It was crowded and understaffed, it seemed. We sat with our drinks for an hour and a half before oil was brought to the table, and then another half an hour for the bread(we asked 3 times for the bread to please come out). Salad was good. Dishes came out after 2 ½ hours of being there. Refills were not kept up with, especially the kids. Food was eh. I had chicken parm – listed as chicken napolitano. It was like any other I’ve had. Husband had the penne vodka. Vodkas sauce was very watery and salty. The bread was good. That’s about it. Maybe it’s because I didn’t drink any wine while waiting for the food to appear that I was so disappointed with this place’s service. Had I, and I would have been drunk.

Like others have mentioned, this is not a mediterranean restaurant in the sense that most people think of(falafel, shwarma, wraps and pitas, baba ghanoush, etc). It should be called Italian grill. The décor and ambience of the place is quite nice and feels pretty refined. The servers were very polite, adding to the slightly upscale but still casual atmosphere. Unfortunately I personally didn’t feel the food matched the atmosphere, but it may have been just because of what I ordered. I had the chicken sapporito sandwich which sounds much fancier than it really was. The bread was crispy but looked/felt/tasted like any plain roll you could get at a supermarket. The chicken was on the dry side. In general the sandwich didn’t have much flavor. Overall it was still A-OK but not worth the price in my opinion.

Brought to you by the same people of Romeo’s, from across the street. The food was good and the staff was attentive. The menu options seemed mostly Italian. The menu sections were even in Italian. The ravioli valentino was good. Not quite as flavorful as the Lobster ravioli, but still good. The venue was casual and comfortable.

1) Please be aware that although this restaurant has«Mediterranean» in it’s title, the food choices are primarily Italian. We went expecting Mediterranean food :(. 2) Very good service(quick) and aware of our needs as customers. Both of us very much enjoyed our meals, the portions are very large. Even during lunch time(when we went). It has outdoor seating and inside environment was calm and relaxing. Bread served as soon as we sat down. We would recommend to others and will most likely go back.

The owner here also owns, the pizza restaurant across the street and along with it the superior quality and management. The experience at this place was excellent and the food is always tasty. Definitely a place to recommend or take the family to on a special occasion.
