The new owner and the waitress Gen are always very friendly every time I come and the food is phenomenal. I try something different every time and I’m never disappointed but I highly recommend the bruschetta and the zucchini. They also have a bar now and I’ve tried most of the cocktails but the coconut paradise is my favorite.

Second time eating here and love it! I had the filet mignon last time… delicious. This time I ordered from the prix fixe menu, Filet of sole with roasted vegetables and potatoes, also fantastic. The service is excellent, everyone is so friendly and accommodating. I will be returning soon.

La Bottega is under new ownership and, man, they are killing it! They have a special menu every week and awesome cocktails. Their Brazilian Mango Caipirinha and the Polenta Fritte off their special menu is the perfect combo to kick off your weekend! Come check them out! Also, their homemade pasta and panini are amazing. You won’t be disappointed…

If you are in the mood for some fresh and tasty Italian paninis, amazing salad creations, every changing specials menu, then this is the place for you. The fresh bread and olive oil speaks for itself. The menu has every possible panini you could think of along with endless amounts of salads to choose from. In the mood for some wine or sangria? They have that too. I have been coming here for some time now and have never once been disappointed, in fact my taste buds are always pleasantly surprised. Want some delicious desert and a fresh made cappuccino? Well you have the right spot. In my opinion the best cannolis and cappuccino, but you need to save room for desert. The servings are huge! Very quaint atmosphere and friendly staff to always help you out. This is my go to spot for a nice lunch or dinner.

The food is ok, if they paid attention and got your order right! But the service here is AWFUL!!! My husband and I have been coming here since they first opened, but we have not been here for almost a year and a half now because several times we came in at 8 pm, they were already closed, even though their hours of operation posted on their door says 11:00 — 9:00 pm, but it seems like they close early when business is slow or whenever they felt like it! So this Sunday we decided to give this place another try and went there for brunch-since it’s early enough-hopefully they wouldn’t be closed yet! I ordered something from the brunch menu, which comes with tea or coffee, but didn’t get either one! And when I asked Jen the waitress, if I can get a cup of coffee, she said I only get it, if I asked for it!!! But why do I have to ask for it??? Why didn’t she offer it to me? Then it gets worse — I ordered a spinach & mushroom omelette, but got an omelette with tomatoes & cheese instead. When I pointed this out to her, she offered to give me a side of spinach instead of replacing it with the correct order. I told her that I do not want a side of spinach, I wanted my original order, which had spinach, mushrooms & bacon. She responded with an attitude! She said«it’s going to take a while now for them to re-make the order» and that it’s just a «mistake» and«it happens» and I should just accept it!!! She also went on to say that since I requested for them to make it without onions, it confused the chef because both types of omelettes had onions; so he inadvertently assumed it was the omelette with tomatoes-what a lame excuse!!! Meanwhile, my husband had ordered the lobster roll special with french fries(photo featured by the front door), but he never got french fries with his order; it came with a side of macaroni salad instead, plus a couple of soggy pickles. And when he asked her for some fresh non-soggy pickles, she told him they ran out of pickles! Why didn’t he get any fries either? Did they run out of them too? Sure mistakes happen, but she could have been more apologetic about the whole situation instead of being so rude and condescending, and making excuses for their incompetence!!! Not once did she even apologize!!! By this time, I’ve totally lost my appetite and don’t even want to eat any more, so I told her to cancel the order and don’t bother to re-make it! My husband packed up his lobster roll, paid the bill and we left! I hope corporate is reading this because this is the ONLY La Bottega with such TERRIBLE customer service. Don’t waste your money at this Bottega, it’s just not worth the aggravation, when your money can be better spent elsewhere!!!

Under new management and it’s definitely for the better! Came for lunch the past 2 weeks, great service and food as always. Told the new owner, I’d be back for happy hour this week, not only did he recognize us when we came in, but he even gave us a free antipasti. It was fantastic! The wine list is really good and the new bar set up that they have in the front, had a great liquor selection as well. Had the mozzarella en carroza and 6 Bruschette. Will definitely be back!

I’m not a big fan of panini’s but today I just had the best one in my life. Came here with my coworker for lunch around noon and the place wasn’t crowded at all. As soon as we arrived we were greeted, seated and served. I ordered the Sardegna which is sweet sausages, fresh mozzarella and roasted hot peppers served in a round rustic bread. And my coworker ordered the grilled chicken panini with mozzarella, baby arugula and balsamic served in a krispina bread, also known as the Anthony. My sandwich was small compared to the Anthony but after taking the first bite it reminded me of the sweet Italian sausages that you get at street fairs and carnivals. So satisfying that it brought back so many childhood memories. Oh it was crunchy, sweet and spicy. Hallelujah it was delicious! The mozzarella was so fresh I can taste Italy. Other than that the service was great and the bill came out to $ 13/each including tax and tip. Thank you La Bottega for the Devine experience. Grazie!

I am in town for Holidays and decided to have lunch at La Bottega with some of my friends. I was really pleased with the service and the plate I ordered. The manager came to our table to greet us and make sure everything was okay. I will definitely recommend this place to my local friends.

Tried it for the first time today and was NOT impressed. I ordered the grilled chicken with avocado salad. There wasn’t much avocado and the grilled chicken… let’s just say I couldn’t finish it. It was dry, bland, and somewhat awful at the same time. I also got the minestrone soup which was not a soup at all. The container was stuffed full of partially cooked red beans and elbow pasta, swimming in a very salty very disgusting sludge. Needless to say, I won’t be eating here again.

Horrible food Disgraceful service. This place deserves not even one star. We ordered from the plainview La Bottega as a group in a work setting and had it delivered. My panini consisted of HALF of one mushroom, a thin slice of tomato, and no cheese. It was supposed to have fresh mozzarella, mushrooms, and tomato. The bread was stale, the cheese nonexistent. When I called to say they forgot the cheese/fillings I was told«there’s nothing we can do.» No apology, no reimbursement, no offer of a redo. Rude & Disgusting. If only I could post the photo.

My coworkers order delivery from here a minimum of once per week. They got the order wrong today. No big deal, these things happen, right? Well we called to have it corrected and the staff was rude. Speaking with indifference they said there is «nothing» they could do. We could not speak to a manager. Asked for manager’s name to call back. They refused to give the name. Left a phone number to be called back when a manager was in. We never got a call. No offer to correct the order. We were NOT invited back to the store to swap out of wrong order for the right order. We were NOT offered a refund, which we requested. They literally gave us food we did not want and refused to do anything about it. No apology either.

Very hit or miss! The food is generally good but do not get delivery. If they get your order wrong they don’t care and don’t make it a priority to correct it. We just received lobster bisque that was sour! When we asked for a replacement meal they said it’d take an hour and a half! Did I mention my office orders from them at least twice a week?! Horrible customer service.

I haven’t been to a La Bottega in years. At a place that touts itself as Italian gourmet I would expect some higher standards. When I walk in to find my sandwich being prepared in the open kitchen I guess I was shocked to see my pork being heated in the microwave before being placed in the sandwich and then on the panini press. None the less it was also fatty, dry and chewy. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is for those of you that might not care if your meal is prepared in a microwave. Unfortunately I won’t be back for a long long time to come.

I have frequently visit this place with my co-workers at least once a week, and they have been excellent in terms of food and service. The sandwich is freshly made and serve hot, and its portion is huge and will leave you with a full stomach. They have over 60+ sandwich selection, with salad, pasta and other choices as well. If you are looking for a good meetup place with friends, or a get together at a good café for food and drink, La Bottega is your place to go. Tip: you can split a sandwich and salad with a friend, and they will split the salad /sandwich for you when they comes.

The La Botega in Plainview has a nice menu, fresh seafood dishes, fun pizza’s and an extensive wine list. A variety of creative and good soups ranging from my favorite butternut squash to pasta fagioli to seafood soup. French, Italian & Long Island wines starting from $ 20 including a popular Long Island reserve… to an in depth more sophisticated wine list including super tuscan’s at $ 60 an unheard of value when dining out. Seafood soup was a mix of clams in shell, small scallops, a few jumbo shrimp, calamari and minced vegs incuding what appeared to be some squash, asparagas(but tiny hard to see) to add to the flavor. Photos posted. Very light and flavorful. perfect seafood soup. Calamari pizza was a fun choice. Lots of chopped olives goat cheese, fresh parsley and herbs, and crispy crust and a spray of calamari on top. Fructe de Mare with white sauce. had mixed seafood over the pasta, with nice flavor, and stayed light. The end result was I felt like everything was fresh, prepared well, generous with good ingredients, and kept light. Always enjoy the herbs at the table with olive oil for bread. Servers and management visited and brought over more. Friday nights and weekends are their busiest, so try a mid week or between lunch and dinner to get in and have your order done right away.
