Doug Flutie’s Sports Pub

I just don’t know why people are slamming this place. We have been twice and food was great both times! We are pretty picky so… give it a try and you will enjoy the food and atmosphere. Casino is usually packed so you know food is fresh.

Don’t go here. They will overcharge your card and then ignore your multiple attempts to fix it. The food was alright but not even close to being worth getting charged 3 times for it. Next time I’ll get pizza from the food court.

This is my 3^rd & last time coming here. The wait staff is slow & inexperienced! The kitchen can’t get the food out quick enough. The food is not good quality.

If there was a negative star; that’s what I would give this place. Due to, The horrendous service we received on Sunday night May 1, 2016 with Janice on the bar. We waited at the bar for at least 10 minutes before she even acknowledged us then proceeded to be rude when we inquired about a wine list. She explained (with an attitude) that they were in the middle of changing the wine list but was also irritated and uneducated about what she was serving. To put it simply, all we wanted was a glass of wine from New Zealand, instead we got the death stare for approximately 5 seconds before she «checked» to see where the wine was from. From people that are in the industry we are well aware that everyone is entitled to a bad day. But this was BEYOND that. She was COMPLETELY unprofessional, we were PLEASED to leave, and we will never be back or recommend it to anybody.

I come here every time I am at Plainridge. The food is good, great selection of apps. Most of the wait staff is good. It took some time for majority of the staff to settle in when it first opened, but it seems pretty good now.
I recommend the burgers, especially the Barn Burger, which has a fried egg on it. Any flavor of the wings is a great choice. They are big and meaty.
Give this place a shot if your looking to grab some food with a group and listen to the live bands play in the casino area.

Ok 3 strikes your out… 1^st time they just ooened so it was crazy sat at bar 15 minutes no service. i left
3 weeks later bars slow 3 people at it an me 10 minute wait. noine helped. I left
Tonight went in (couldnt help but hear on my way by the hostess tell a two top that there is a 45 wait for a table (the restaurant was ¼ full WTF so they left
I sit down at one of two stools open and they are both still really dirty with food and garbage but whatever. Bartemder takes my order the sets the drink down in leftover food scraps and garbage. I ask for rag and wiped my own area and a menu. 20 minutes went by i noticed her avoiding me then cash out her drawer and leave (nobody behind bar) two managers are just stamding behimd me looking around. I leave what i think drink costs and leave. WTF

Nice clean place with plenty of seating and lots of big screen tv’s. Prices and service were good, but I can’t say much about the food. There were 7 of us and only 1 person had anything positive to say about the food. 1 burger was overdone and the other was undercooked (really, really raw). The fish portions were very greasy and extremely small in size. Fries were cold and soggy and beer was warm.
Hopefully if we ever go back things will be better.

The bartenders are the worst I have ever experienced. The food is gross and disgusting. I am going home to throw up. That’s how bad I feel from eating here. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

Fish and onion rings were great (even w/​2 bones). Do not order the hotdog. It looks and tastes like something from a gas station mini mart. We sent it back and got the fish instead. I will come back to have the fish, onion rings and the chips (warm) and salsa. Lida our server was awesome

Service was sloooooooow. Place was less than half full. Got an apology from our server but before leaving noticed another table being comped for their drinks because of their wait and another person being comped because after their long wait the order was wrong.
Key thing seems to be: make a fuss about the service, get free stuff!
Food was ok once it appeared.

Ok so I have no real idea how I decided it would be a good idea to eat at a «pub» that was decorated like a mall food court. The waitress was basically unaware that asparagus wasn’t a fish, and she pronounced salmon as «sale-​mom»! Then there was the food. The tater tots were directly out of an ore-​Ida bag, covered in some industrial waste of a cheese whiz and serves. Disgusting! My salad Cobb salad was a tossed chicken salad with a hard boiled egg with a commercial salad dressing, the burgers my sons ate were at least edible, my wife’s shaved steak dip was inedible and believe me she wasn’t expecting much after the apps and the fact that they brought her tossed salad with her meal.
I have no clue why a «pub» felt more like a food court and why Doug Flutie would lend his name to a place as bad as this.

Not worth the drive. Waitress was really out of it. Asked for Octoberfest, got some light beer? Asked for onion rings, got fries? Asked for one beer brought two. I guess that last one I can live with!
Hot? Wings had no heat. Nachos had more onion than ground beef. French dip bread couldn’t stand up to the au jus. Again more onion than beef. Whole place smelled like fish at noon? Very disappointed. WAIT…Heisman Trophy! Very cool!

Went here this past Saturday. The restaurant is very clean and filled with tons of TV’s! You won’t miss any of your favorite sports here! We were greeted by a friendly server who seated us right away.
We just had two different kinds of wings and some nachos. But, we have absolutely no complaints. Our waiter was very friendly and we had no wait to sit down or four our check!

Ughhh. Just awful. We ordered the Rib Eye sandwich. The rib eye was cooked to death and about ¹⁄₉₈^th of an inch thick. The roll was at least a week old and there was no flavor. The coleslaw was floating in vinegar. It actually made me cough when I ate it.
Walk right by this place. The food is just bad.
I will say that after contacting management they did apologize and treated us fairly. They told us they are aware of the problems and working to correct them.

Very disappointed. Our server was friendly, the place was clean with good views of the large TVs.
But. it took a while for us to get service and they were not busy, about 4 tables in the whole place.
4 of us ordered. Fish sandwich was mediocre.
some beef hotdog thing and burgers were not good. One of us didn’t even finish the burger.
We also ordered the nacho’s which did not have good flavor. Those were not finished either.
Overall the food was not good at all. It’s pretty bad when you don’t finish your food and you could still eat. I will not return here to eat.
Our server also did not ask us how our food was.

Awful.
Sunday night @ 7PM — casino was fairly packed, Flutie’s fairly empty.
After being seated we sat for twenty minutes waiting to be served without a simple hello by passing servers, watched two other couples walk out, we followed.
Don’t bother. This place sucks.

We visited on a Monday, and were seated when it opened at noon. We had a very pleasant and attentive server, but it took over 30 minutes for the food to come. Server mentioned that there were issues with new help, as our food was just warm. At the next table, the wrong meal came out, and the manager comp’d their meal. The room was clean, and we’ll try it again when the kinks are worked out.

Three of came down to try your place today. We were very disappointed. The waitress took forever to come just to take our original drink order and food order. The wait for the drink was exceedingly long after that. The wait for the meal was even worse. I had ordered a burger medium rare and it came out well done and chewy.
The manager came out and asked about our meal. When I told him about the burger he took it off of the bill. Ask him to find our waitress so we could get a second drink. We waited just as long for the second drink as we did for the first.
All and all, the meal was very disappointing and we don’t expect to come again.

I hesitated to even try given the previous reviews, but wanted to watch the women’s World Cup finals and it was a convenient location. First, as a place to watch a big game the pub has numerous great TVs and the the giant HD screen was perfect. With a number of others there to watch the Game the atmosphere was great. The pub itself is open and comfortable and they had maybe 10 or so options on tap.
We started with the pretzel appetizer. It is a gigantic warm pretzel that comes out hanging from a special serving rack and served with whole grain mustard and queso sauce. The warm soft pretzel did not disappoint — I would order it again in a heartbeat.
My wife and I opted for Cobb salads for dinner after the pretzel. Though more Cobb inspired than a classic Cobb salad, it was fresh and satisfying. On the down side, there were problems with the order — my wife’s Cobb salad was missing bacon and the egg was wrong on my order. It felt like the kitchen staff doesn’t have it together yet…
Unlike the experience of other reviewers our server was very attentive and service was prompt. The only negative about the server was that she could not describe one of the beers on tap when asked.
Overall, I had the feeling like the management is still trying to figure things out and that the training of kitchen and service staff is not yet where it needs to be yet. If the team comes together the place has potential…

Ok, I get it, this was opening night but really? We waited 1.5 hours to get a table, only to wait another 30 minutes to even have a server approach our table, then it took over an hour to get oour food. I had to ask for a manager and then finally we got our food. It was definitely not worth the wait or the hassle. The manager took 1 item off the bill, when he should have never charged us to begin with. Food was sub par and cold, over priced and not what we expected. We were so excited and anticipated opening night, only to be disappointed and then having to pay for cold food that tastes just ok. We will never go back!
