Only reviewing the whipped cream and fruit cake. A light yellow cake, with real whipped cream frosting and layers of whipped cream, ripe peaches and strawberries. Don’t know how they get fresh fruit out of season, but they do. This cake isn’t overly sweet. It’s heavenly, and IMO, worth the money.

Based on what I saw on Unilocal I figure why not give it a shot. My friend mentioned to her I wanted to come here & I was visiting, she didn’t even make a suggestion as to what I should try, maybe because it was close to closing time ¯\_(*_*)_/¯ . Either way I was in & out quickly because I knew exactly what I wanted but she did ask if I wanted anything else. Carrot cake of course because of all the pics I saw I here

I have been to this location several times to buy yummy, authentic Italian pastries! I absolutely LOVE the tiramisu, and the cannoli are out of this world! However, each time I have gone my friends and I have noticed the less than stellar attitude of the girls who work there. On my most recent trip it was the worst I had ever seen it. There was a considerable line and the girls were very slow in their service. I even saw one of the women being very short and rude to a customer. After waiting for 20 – 25 minutes, and they had only cashed out 3 customers, we finally walked out. I will not go back to this location. I am hoping Magnifico’s will be better!

Just too overpriced!!! Ive been a few times and I always walk out thinking it was sooo expensive for what I got. This last time I got 4 regular size canoli and 5 cookies for $ 17 dollars. Just too much for dessert that would serve about 4 people in my opinion. The cookies are delicious but I don’t want to be so guilty eating them thinking how expensive they were. The cannoli were just OK nothing amazing. Additionally, the girls at the counter seemed unfriendly whenever I went. I will be going to Mangiaficos from now on. I have gone there for cakes before but Mozzicatos has a slightly better location and hours.

I always go on the weekends… everything is fresh! Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the girls who work there seem like they hate their job and always rush you with an attitude. Rudeness aside… convenient for people who don’t want to drive to Hartford.

I love this place the almond cookies are my favorite other pastries are good I like their cappuccino but my complain is about some of the girls work their they are not welcoming at all unpleasant and they do not even apologize if they make mistake. I still recommend this place but I ask the managers to work on their staff attitude.

Forget about picking up that last minute cake at the grocery store! I am coming to Mozzicato’s from now on! We got the Rum cake-sponge cake for my mother. The cake is lightly soaked with rum and layered with chocolate and vanilla cream and topped with butter cream and chopped roasted peanuts. It was very very good and everyone loved it.

This is a great Italian bakery but I do have to say… It’s not the best one in Plainville. I think a lot of locals are loyal to Mangificos. But not to say Mozzicatos isn’t great! It’s very fancy when you walk in. The pastries are fresh and delicious. I did order a stuffed sausage and cheese bread once and it did not have much flavor or sausage inside of it. Mozzicatos is beautiful and they are a great little bakery! It’s right on the main road so it’s easy to access. It’s great for parties!

I have gone to this bakery in Hartford and in Plainville. I have never complained about a product. I am visiting from CT and ordered my son a Cannoli cake for his birthday. Any Cannoli cake I have ever had in my life did not have chocolate. We had 20 people at a party and they were all disappointed because they did not like the cake. So I returned the cake and received nothing but a bad attitude. They wouldn’t even give me store credit. They are happy to take you money but when it comes to making the customer happy, the have no clue about customer service. I will never go here again. Go to a bakery that respects their customers and values their patronage.

This is a fantastic bakery. The cannolis are made fresh to order, the cakes are delicious and the overall selection is very high. In addition to the myriad of bakery of items, they have pizza/calzones and an espresso and gellatto bar. I haven’t had the chance to try the coffee and food but I will on one of my next trips for sure! The only reason this isn’t 5 star, is it seems a bit over priced. If you need pastries for your guests or event, I highly recommend stopping in here.

Now listen here. I was born and raised into a family of Italian Bakers and Chefs and I will absolutely become a regular customer. It brings me back to the days my sisters and I ate as little as possible before going to Aunt Josie’s in Brooklyn so we could indulge in the never-ending courses, always looking forward to dessert. This is a real gem and I’m probably going to pack on a few pounds.

I ordered a large chocolate mousse cake. It was $ 28 and it was AH-Mazing! And for the ride home there was a cannoli…

YES! Love this place! From their fabulous cakes to their glorious cookies and pastries! But what I love the most is their gelato! This is what I come here the most for. They have awesome flavors such as peanut butter chip, ricotta and hazelnut. They also offer it on sugar cones which I think is the best thing ever in life! For the cookies I recommend anything fruit filled while my hubby thinks their almond cookies are the best thing since sliced bread. The interior is nice and clean and the staff is always friendly! Oh and one thing you must try… their powdered sugar cookies!

I love Mozzicato. It’s a great bakery with a wonderful décor and is always pristine and clean! The confections are all delicious and whenever I need a cake for a special occasion, they always deliver the goods. I love going here to pick up some treats as I’m headed over a friend’s house for dinner or to just get some gelato or an espresso or cappuccino. Be sure to try the cannoli’s and the sfogliatelle!
