I work in Downtown Plano and my co-workers and I order food from here frequently. For a bar… they have great food! Try the Meatloaf Sandwich, or the veggie Sandwich, and the sweet potato fries! Also a great place to hang out and grab a drink and sit on the patio right in the heart of downtown Plano. =D

Had a great time with hubby for an impromptu date night. Have been wanting to come here for awhile and finally got the chance to on Saturday. The service was great, our waitress(didn’t tell us her name) was attentive and friendly. Our food was great! Hubs got the chicken tender plate and I got the chicken, bacon, and waffles. We shared a mozzarella sticks appetizer but it was a bit much for me. Overall, we’ll definitely be back!

Do yourself a favor & get the Brown Bag Chicken Nachos. They’re life-changing! So many flavors going on there, but it works so perfectly together. It’s on the menu as an appetizer, but if you have a HEARTY appetite, this can be a meal for you. I guess you can share it as an appetizer if you have to. :) Joe is a great bartender & the staff here is friendly!

Walked in, waited to be greeted for five minutes. There were maybe 10 people in there. No one greeted me so I left. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Decent atmosphere(except for the guy dropping F bombs during the Cowboys game.) Friendly service. We sent back the«Southwest Egg Rolls» due to doughy texture(def not crispy as described.) We changed the order to Buffalo Chicken Wings. Those were lame too. We came here because of the location but left because of the food. Bloody Mary was nice n spicy.

Great place to grab a bite to eat and watch a football game. Had the meatloaf sandwich, which was great. The Chicken tortilla soup was OK, could have been a bit more spicy. Owner and the bartender were great and made the visit even better. Would recommend.

Garlic chorizo meatloaf and lobster & Crawfish Bisque are mouth watering favorites. A flavorful diversion from other gastropub fare. Wednesday trivia is fun too! I’ve been a couple times and would enourage a little more consistency of the food. One time meatloaf clearly seemed heated up, which I understand making ahead… not sure how to solve this, but freshness and faking it is part of the enjoyment.(Might give you 4.5 for this… but it’s fixable). With that said, you still get 5 stars for: flavor, creative menu, nice atmosphere and good service.

For drinks only, rating would be higher but my goal was a good dinner to go on a Friday night. For a bar, it did not have that typical bar smell so that was appreciated. Bartender recommended the lasagna and it was inedible. Also ordered the turkey pastrami reuben… the meat was bad. it looked bad and smelled worse… not sure how that was allowed to be placed on an order. The only edible sandwich was the grilled veggie one and that was nothing to crow about. Poor downtown Plano, it tries so hard but decent dining still eludes it.

Outstanding steak, portobello & cheese sandwich — also recommend the onion rings and homemade chips. The Brown Bag Chicken Nachos is an experience in its self!!! Carrot cake for desert is a great way to top off the night! Brixx is the place for outstanding food and service!

Came here based on other Unilocal reviews and it definitely lived up to our expectations. Beer great. Food great. Dessert great. Atmosphere fantastic! It almost has a «Cheers» feel to it. Lots of TVs. The best part, Joe, who was our bartender and waiter, loves hockey almost as much as we do and said that we could watch any hockey game we want. Extremely impressed with this place. There is no doubt we will be back.

You see the four star rating is deceiving because I don’t think they deserve such high rating. As I ordered my food I showed the server my check in deal and he told me it’s for dine in only. So next I should dine in and use my offer. Those are the exact words he said but I didn’t see anywhere on their check in deal that it’s dine only. Anyways I sat and waited for burger at the bar for at least twenty minutes. Not once did the server came and asked for a drink or told me how long it’s going to take. I became casper and became human again when he remembers I am a to go customer not casper. The server hands me my food and tells me what I got. Well duh I know what I ordered. Cheeseburger with mushrooms, the food was decent and had a lot mustard. The meat was cooked medium rare which I didn’t ask for but I was casper for awhile. Their signature parmesan fries were over cooked and the seasoning was off. The parmesan seasoning was distant with the fries. All you could taste was salted fries but no parmesan. The fries are also shoestring fries so I’d change them to truffle fries instead or was that their version of truffle fries? Anyways this bar has a small indoor seating and a nice size patio.

My boyfriend and I found this place through Unilocal and what a find!!! Our waitress, Elise, was awesome and the food was terrific(zomg I had the steak, portobello and cheese sandwich and holy crap it was delicious — I will have dreams about this sandwich O. O)!! We also got a slice of carrot cake to split and it was massive, and so tasty! I am one fatty, happy camper. Plenty of beers on tap so my boyfriend was pleased. We also got a «thank you» visit from the manager which is much appreciated — it’s always nice when restaurant higher-ups do that! Highly recommended!

A friend texted me to ask if I’d tried Brix in downtown Plano yet. I hadn’t. It looked like a standard neighborhood bar, so I wasn’t super-interested in trying it out. A hamburger and pizza is a hamburger and pizza, right? Brix may serve alcohol and have video golf — all the signs of a neighborhood bar — but it also has amazing food. I first stopped in with a coworker for lunch. I told our server, Joe, that I had no idea what to order and I was suspicious of his claims regarding the food’s tastiness. Boy, was I wrong about that. I had the lunch special with ½ chorizo meatloaf sandwich(with sprouts!), parmesan fries and a side salad. My coworker had the green chili chicken lasagne. Oh.My.Gosh. Everything was amazing. So I had to take the hubs there for dinner one evening. This time our server was Justin. He was also awesome. I ordered the tempura battered chicken tenders. Sooooooo good. The hubs stuck with his old-standby, a burger. I was really disappointed — he should have gone for something more unique. But he said it was one of the best burgers he’s ever had: We finished dinner with a slice of cake(lagniappe courtesy of checking in on Unilocal). We picked the carrot cake and learned from Justin that it’s made by another one of our local downtown Plano businesses, Bake Rejoice. This photo doesn’t do the cake justice. It was as wide as the palm of my hand. More than half of it went home in a take out box that we labeled«Box of Happiness.» The owner, Sam, stopped by to see what we thought of everything. What a great guy. You should definitely say hi to him when you’re there and tell him that his food is delicious. Because it is.

Last night, my husband and I wanted to find a new place with good food and cold beer. The reviews for this place caught my eye. Our waitress was Sarah. She was awesome! Very friendly and attentive. They had multiple runners for food and drinks so you could tell it was a team atmosphere. The service was just amazing. I ordered three different sliders with sweet potato fries. The cheeseburger, buffalo, and crab cake. I was not a fan of the crab cake because it was very soft. I like mine more crunchy and less moist. It has nice flavor just wasn’t for me. But the other two were awesome and the fries were great. My husband had a build your own burger. He really enjoyed it along with sweet potato fries. We ordered the fries pickles as an app and carrot cake for dessert. Again, really good! The beer was very cold. They offer pitchers t this location. Many bars have gotten away from that. This is definitely a new local bar we will be trying again. Highly recommend it!

I ate at Brix when it first opened and honestly didn’t think much of it. I gave it another chance and wow was I impressed. The chicken nachos app is a little different than your typical tex-max nachos but very tasty. I got the Brix cheeseburger with grilled jalapeños and it was excellent. Fries are skinny fries and tasty. Very good service as well. If you haven’t been you should check it out. If you haven’t been in a while you should give it another shot.

So glad to have found this place; wandering around downtown Plano on a rainy Saturday lunch time, Unilocal directed us here. It’s a cute little neighborhood bar with a «Cheers» kind of vibe. Rey, also the bartender, was our gregarious server. Even on a crappy weather kind of day, his attitude was undeniably sunny. There are flat screen TVs all around showing various sports, and one that kept drawing my attention was the one showing 3Dog.TV. Endless memes, jokes and other stuff to «steal your soul», as Rey put it. The food was not at all your momma’s bar food. Yep, you got your burgers, onion rings and wings, etc., but also fried mac n’ cheese balls, vegetarian melts and platters and all manner of entrees. Everything is cooked up fresh and from scratch, so be prepared to relax and enjoy a libation or three. They have a righteous beer and cocktail menu as well. Prices are easy: $ 9 for sandwiches with a side of their excellent herbed shoestring fries and a buck fiddy if you want to sub some rings or housemade potato chips. Noms. Wings, rings, burgers, sliders and fries all were excellent! On the right kind of day, sitting on the patio for a little people watching would be a great way to spend an afternoon.

Soooo great! The food is wonderful! You get the sports bar feel with delicious food! They topped it all off with amazing service. We were there for my dad’s birthday. Justin took such good care of us, even brought extra plates and silverware for our store bought cake. I would recommend this place for sure.

Man, I wish this place was just a wee bit closer to my house because there is just something about this place that is so cool. Maybe it’s because it reminds me of home back in Portland… I’m not sure, but the rustic but hip vibe along with a unique menu and chill bartenders make this a place you just want to pull up a stool to and stay a while. Any item with their chicken strips is so yummers. Sammy’s and burgers are good too, but up charge to the sweet tater fries — totally worth it! Customer base is varied but this place always seems to attract interesting people who can make great conversation(if you’re into that sort of thing). Highly Recommend
