The service and friendliness remains perfect. I love coming here. They have the best desserts in town especially their gulab jamun!!!

It’s a small, casual Indian restaurant in the giant strip center. It’s long and narrow on the inside, consisting of one large column of seats. There’s a TV with CNN or something. They have some pretty good lunch deals. I got a chicken biryani. To my non-Indian palette I thought it was pretty decent. I tried a samosa but I can say that I did not like it. Not. One. Bit. It was literally like munching on something with the texture of a mutated potato with a flaky skin. It was kind of spicy too and being vegetables, it didn’t have much flavor on the inside.

Horrible horrible place! So we came here thinking this was the same or similar to the Chameli on belt line and Greenville area. So we bought a coupon for this place. Got there : 1) «we stopped taking the coupon a week ago. You will need to call them…» DAMNITTAKETHECOUPONDOWNFROMTHEREORYOUMAKETHECALL… Anyway. Got past that… 2) ordering food: I want this. I don’t have that. I want that. I don’t have that either. After going through half the menu, We were hungry enough that we thought lets just order. 3) no water or anything comes out till 15 minutes 4) I get the Chameli chicken(advertised as chicken 65.) it was not. It was an over fried peice of chicken on a stick 5) this was the nail in the coffin: A COCKROACHINMYWIFE’s samosa!!! A full cockroach!!! That was it! I stood up, told the hostess and we left !!! Never to return ever again!!! Save yourself from this joint.

We went to this restaurant and we were NOT impressed. We were dining in and the whole time we were there no one asked us if we want any water… not that big of a deal, I could let that go… but it got worse. We ordered the biryani and the chicken seekh kabab. The biryani was NOT biryani… it tasted like they had made rice and just dumped a whole bunch of masalas and oil into it and microwaved it… The serving size of the biryani was huge for the price but what’s the point if it doesn’t taste good? When we ordered the chicken seekh kabab we were asked if we would like the kabab in the naan or separately with the naan on the side. We asked them to put the naan on the side. After when we were checking out we were charged $ 2 extra for having the naan on the side. How ridiculous is that? The chicken kababs were gross. There was barely any chicken in the chicken kabab and it tasted like egg and had a very strange texture. I’m not sure what the other Chameli location is like but this location was a total fail.
