Einstein Bros Bagels

Reading the reviews below seems to have changed the service at this establishment. The Hispanic guy its always super friendly and gets my orders fast. The Indian woman, is the one that may have an attitude at times. She is always running the register and has made a couple of mistakes. Once she was by herself and I asked for my bagel toasted and she didn’t bother. Didn’t realize it until I got home. Overall, the place is always clean. She may want to leave the customer service to the Hispanic people working the line.

I used to always get lox but after a couple of times getting it in this location I simply stopped eating it all together. It never tasted good as other locations.
Last week I got a sesame bagel with cream cheese and they really skimmed on the cream cheese. Came back today, finally they did a little better on the cheese the first time but the second time it was off again. The lady behind the register that runs this place is not pleasant. I have to repeat my order several times, often comes out wrong, and the girl helping her has to re-​ask me as well.
This location is poorly run and I might just drive to the location on 75 and 15^th St. going forward.

Agreed with the bad reviews. This is a bad establishment. The male cashier is rude. Wrote suggestions to corporate office few months ago about the bad service, but it still have no improvement after 2^nd visit and he is still around. That’s pretty sad. Do not recommend to stop here for anything.

Worst place to be for breakfast. Has to repeat order 3 times. They keep yelling out the order to each other 4 – 5 time which makes the ambiance very unpleasant. Forget about morning greeting. Just be ready to explain your order 4 times. How hard can it be to understand «bagel with egg white». Lady at the register is very rude and obnoxious. The Hispanic helpers seemed lost and they customize the order to whatever they feel like. Not consistent at all. I agree with other Unilocalers. Don’t give them business. Stay away.

By far the one of the worst Einstein’s around. Food was stale and service was terrible. Employees were rude and lazy.

Terrible customer service. Rude and rush you to order. I’ve been here a few times but that’s it I’m done. Will not return to this place again. It ruins my day to come here and deal with these mean folks.

I have never walked into a place in the morning where people are rude. The lady behind the register was nasty and rude. I would never come back to this place again. A few of us agreed. Then the extra bucks golden Whole Foods but stay away from this place

Update 10/​08/​2015: So I’m still eating here, and it seems the employees are overworked and their location is understaffed. It’s semi understandable if you all aren’t super cheerful but you are the face of this location. Remember that and act accordingly.

I am a loyal Einstein Bagels customer. Been to several in FL, TN, and now TX. This is the first location I’ve been to where the atmosphere and service was subpar. I’m not sure if it’s the same guy at the register that others complain about? English is clearly not his first language. It’s not an excuse however. No matter the language barrier, a smile is understood in every language. This place is a bit depressing. Won’t be back to this location.

Today, I take a stand against your bagel bullshit, Einstein!
Coworkers and I come here all the time. Addicted to the coffee. But holy hell, the customer service is friggin terrible. Since we see them about 4 times a week, you would think occasionally you would get a «good morning,» or «how are you?» Never. I hand ‘rude register guy’ my CC damn near daily and I bet he couldn’t tell you my name if his bagel-​pushing life was on the line.
So today was the last day that I’ll be giving this location my money. Sure, I like bagels and I like the coffee, but I can’t stand the shitty service.
How many people have to complain about the service before you make a change? How many people have to say in their review «guy at register is rude?»

New to the area, how can you make a bad bagel sandwich? Well u can and sloppy too. Guy at the register was rude, so was the girl making sandwiches! They looked at me like I was stupid because I wanted a bagel as my bread instead of sandwich bread. Won’t be coming to this location again!

I came again because my fiancé wanted bagels and this was the closest. The same man at the register was rude and had terrible customer service. I always feel rushed and unimportant when I come here. I really would suggest finding a different location to come to.

Absolutely appalled at their service. Called and ordered a bagel. Asked what types of espresso drinks they made. After the phone was passed around the room, I was told «We are very busy. We don’t have time to answer your question. Now what do you want?» I was speechless. I’d recommend getting an overpriced bagel at another place.

I’ve been to a lot of Einstein’s Bagels in the past and have enjoyed all of my experiences. THIS Einstein’s however doesn’t make the list of good ones. The store is completely run by middle eastern individuals that don’t speak good English. The bagel selection was scarce at 8:45 in the morning. And they don’t know how to count out your change, even with the register telling them what the change is supposed to be. Or maybe they just short you on your change to make a little extra cash. Whatever the excuse, I will never come back to this subpar bagel place.
I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone, except maybe my enemies.

Worst service ever. Ask for a bagel with cream cheese and tomato and you will have the pleasure of putting it together yourself. Apparently the employees are too busy doing other things to actually work.

Today I went to pick few bagels the women was literally shouting on me coz she has to bend to pick the bagels. That is not my problem. I got what I want but the customer service is pathetic. I would prefer to go the one at dallas parkway and parker than this one. They are friendly there.

DROPPED FOOD ON THE FLOOR AND TRIED TO GIVE IT TO ME!!! I can not believe this happened, but I can believe it happened at this store. I have seen them have serious problems at this location before with other customers… This time it was with EMUR.
I came in and wanted two bagel sandwiches. As she was making them, she dropped them on the floor. She picked them up and continued to get the condiments ready. I thought «no way, is she going to try to give that to me?». So I just waited and yep sure enough she turns around like nothing happened and handed me the bag. I said, «um didn’t that just fall on the floor?» She immediately went into a rant saying that it didn’t actually touch the floor, but of course I was standing right there and I saw it happen. She said“I will not make you another one”. So I asked for my refund, which took her a few minutes because she was ranting about not making another one and finally she said «you are pissing me off. You can call the 800 number. I am calling the cops.» Those were her precise words.
I said, «OK do what you want, but you need to give me my refund if you are not going to give me my food. And I am going to start recording what you are yelling at me.» Well, she stopped screaming and I got a refund.
As I was leaving to go she took everything out of the bag and PUT THE DROPPED FOOD BACK INTO THE CASE! She scraped off the cream cheese into the bowl with the other cream cheese, she put the salmon back with the fresh salmon, she put the bagels back also (I had them put them on the side/​not made into sandwich). UNBELIEVABLE.
If you go to this location, YOU JUST MIGHT BE GETTING SOME ELSE’S DROPPED ON THE FLOOR AND REJECTED OLD FOOD!!! Preston location is NASTY.

How can you complain about Einstein Bros Bagels? They have the best bagels ever, and about 18,632 cream cheese «shmeers» you can choose from. Hello! Who doesn’t like cream cheese? Not to mention the bagels are cooked fresh every morning. I get the same time every time I go in to any EBB so I order fast and get my Six Cheese Bagel with Honey Almond Shmeer and Medium Coffee in no time.
Yum!

The place is brightly lit and clean. Not much to speak of as far as the interior design. Just your typical big chain restaurant material.
This is probably the only store where you can find such a large selection of bagels. The different cream cheese spreads are killer. The prices are kind of up there for little rings of dough though.

Einstein is in the hood!
Soft opening was soft indeed, but they were better on the second attempt!
