I recently ordered the exact same thing from Zorbas twice. The original gyro platter with rice, tzatziki dip with pita, and a small Greek salad. My 1st to-go order was awesome. They gave me a generous portion of gyro meat and rice. The salad was fresh. Lots of pita bread and a generous amount of tzatziki dip. I was impressed and satisfied! So when I ordered the second time to-go I was expecting the same thing and really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, they weren’t as generous with the meat, rice, or dip as they were the first time. And the salad didn’t look fresh, there weren’t many dark green lettuce leaves, it was mainly made up of the thick, white parts of lettuce leaves. Also, the rice was really oily this time. I was disappointed with that to-go order considering how great my first order was. I’m hoping that was just a one time thing and my next order will be as good as the first. Their gyro meat and tzatziki dip are so tasty! The one thing that was consistent with both orders was that they gave plenty of pita bread. Much appreciated!

I have taken many people that are new to Greek food to this location. Coming from Chicago and frequenting many Greek restaurants, this place is as close as I’ve come to the authentic Greek that I’m accustomed to. Waitstaff are very accommodating. If you are unsure of some of the menu items, you can always be safe and order Greek chicken and potatoes, or the gyros. Highly recommended restaurant.

Delicious, authentic, excellent Greek food! And, the service was on point! Our server, Marsha, was extremely attentive and polite! What an excellent restaurant! She even brought us a pair of scissors to cut some thread off of my jacket. Now that’s service!

Terrible customer service today. We go here, we like it, but a few minutes ago we walked in… sign says«open» and the two girls at the desk say«we’re not going to kick you out, but we close in fifteen minutes». Kind of feels like you’re kicking us out if you say that… and by the way, you’re open sign is on. Boo Zorbas.

The best Greek restaurant in the DFW area. Great authentic Greek food, and when the band ‘To kefi’ playing live it’s the best place to spend good time with friends and family.

Great addition to the menu! I am originally from Greece and I have been going to Zorba’s for years. The food has always been good and fairly authentic. This last time however it was the best I have ever had at Zorba’s. A new salad called the«Santorini salad» was recently added to the menu. It is out of this world and very fairly priced at about $ 8. It is a must try!

My husband and I ate at Zorba’s for the first time and were very impressed! We shared the delicious feta and olive appetizer with pita bread. Even the garnish tomatoes were tasty; I love that attention to detail. My husband devoured Gyro’s over greek potatoes(I think I’ll try the chicken gyro over green beans next time for a healthy alternative). The lamb was perfectly spiced and plentiful. I had the Mousaka with a wonderful bechamel sauce and loved it! We topped it off our dinner with a dessert strongly recommended by our friendly, knowledgeable professional waiter. It was incredible! The atmosphere was clean, warm and friendly with Greek artifacts decorating the faux painted walls. We can’t wait to go back the lamb chops looked absolutely incredible. The BYOB is also a big plus!

Found it on Unilocal, had a taste for a gyro. The reviews were good on the gyro. The online menu showed the gyro sandwich. Well I went there to get a gyro sandwich. Went close to closing time. The guy at the door, finally said to one of the waitresses standing there to take me to a table. Come to find out the gryo sandwich is only for lunch,(the online menu doesn’t say that). The gyro plate is what’s available for dinner hours, so figured I would try it. It’s an open faced platter is what I was told. It has plenty of meat when it came, the fries were below the meat. Was not impressed at all. Over priced in my mind. My mistake for deciding to order, instead of leaving when I found out I couldn’t get just a sandwich.

Outstanding food, ambiance, and customer service. Love this place — they can handle small groups and very large groups no problem. We will be back for more!

I’ve been here several times and while it’s been a go-to for Mediterranean, sometimes the wait staff gets really slow or forget your dish… on your birthday… so… maybe my review is a bit biased. Barring that hiccup, the food here is actually really good. I get the falafel platter here and love everything but the tomato-y one(but it’s only because I don’t like tomatoes). AND despite my dish being forgotten and things looking disorganized, the waiter was very friendly and apologetic(but not enough to comp my forgotten dish on my birthday).

Since I moved to Plano I was looking for a real Greek restaurant and I found it on the first try. The portions are huge and delicious, I ordered the Zorba combo platter. I am attaching a picture with this review. I am a Greek food snob coming from Los Angeles we had Papadskis and papa Christo’s. Now I will make this my goto Greek restaurant. The service from Karen was top notch.

It is my second time here and I am continuously blown away. I would have taken a picture of my lamb kebab, but I devoured it before I had an opportunity. The girlfriend had the special — the wild catch salmon fillet. Finishing it off with the Greek walnut cake. Service was incredible. Staff was so attentive. All in all a fantastic experience. Highly recommend this place.

I chose Zorba’s because of the musical of the same name and was humming Life Is all the to my to go order. I instantly regretted not planning to stay when I walked, because I felt like I was walking on set of Zorba or Mamma Mia. The atmosphere was so charming and welcoming, I felt as though I was walking in on a family dinner. A man who I believe to be the owner asked if everything was to my liking and wished me a good night. As someone who travels frequently for work, I’m accustomed to being quickly dismissed as «just a pick up order». Having someone offer me a handshake and thanks for stopping by was the curtesy and hospitality I craved. Right! The food! I got the Vegetarian Platter. EVERYTHINGWASDELICIOUS!!! The food was so incredibly flavorful! Probably the best I’ve ever had… because I can’t think of one that could revival Zorba’s.

I’m not a vegetarian but i decided to get the veggie platter and i must say i was impressed everything was very fresh the zatziki sauce with its lemon zest to die for delicious falafels wonderful dolmas and excellent hummus the staff is very observant and courteous the only reason i didn’t give it 5 stars is because the décor is a bit outdated otherwise keep up the good work zorbas btw under 20 bills for dinner not bad at all

Been a while since I’ve been here. Forgot how goods the Salanika pepper is. Add some feta, eat with a little pita and rice. yum Pita was sub-par, probably old, but everything else was awesome… shouldn’t wait another year before I come again.

Not a bad little joint. Our waiter was really friendly and easy on the eyes. I was impressed with the overall customer service from all the staff. I ordered the vegetarian platter because I was craving a Greek salad, falafel, and domas. The hummus was, well hummus. The spices in the falafels were great but I felt they were dry and honestly tasted like they were a frozen product. The domas were average and had more grape leave than I prefer. Overall the vegetarian platter was ok. My lunch date ordered the gyro Greek salad. It came out overflowing with gyro meat. I sampled the gyro meat and it was fantastic. Moist and flavorful. Overall the food was good and I will be back to try other dishes and the Opa cheese! Many tables ordered this and it looked like a fun and yummy appetizers.

This place had great reviews on Unilocal and we wanted a nice restaurant for date night. It also is BYOB(with a $ 3.50 fee) which is something we liked as well. The ambiance of this restaurant was warm and inviting. The low lighting, candle-lit tables, and lively music added a romantic feel to the evening. Hearing«Opa!» and seeing the flaming saganaki was also an exciting thing to watch. We were not very hungry so we split the gyro combination platter with a side of Greek potatoes. It was brought out unbelievably fast! The pita was cut into small pieces so we couldn’t really make our own pita sandwiches with them(and you can’t order pita sandwiches past 4PM, which was a bummer) so that made the dining experience a little different than we expected. The potatoes tasted like they were a day or two old and pretty greasy. The tzatziki sauce was really awesome and the meat tasted good as well. The pita was nice and soft but tasted like it was also not very fresh and just reheated with oil. Overall, it was a nice experience for date night, but the food was not as impressive as we had read about. If everything tasted like it was made fresh, this review would be a tad different — hopefully the next time we come things will taste a little less stale.
