I went on a Saturday for lunch buffet. They serve upma in the buffet. Really, please grow up to some standards. You are a not vegetarian buffet I believe. They run the restaurant depending totally on the nearby party hall that they rent out. Second, i don’t know how they decide the dishes. They had channa masala but with what do I eat it with. They neither satisfy a vegetarian nor a non vegetarian as there is no thought given to the dishes. Chicken wasn’t cooked enough, and the quality of the chicken was if as though they auctioned out 100 lbs of chicken wholesale a month ago and have been using it then. It was grey and blue and green inside. To top it they charge $ 12 and hey there are pretty decent buffets which have quality food and variety at that price point. Please consider, take some time out, go around and decide dishes. We give you our hard earned money and hey there are so many places to spend it.

If you tried this place in the past and weren’t happy give it another shot. I learned of this restaurant through a Living Social coupon(and was likely the first person who tried to use one). On my first visit, the place was nearly empty, but the food was fantastic. I assumed it was either an off night or people were judging the place by it’s appearance(it could use some refreshing — particularly the floor which has peeling paint). I didn’t know that it was BYOB, so I didn’t bring drinks and their selection of non-alcoholic drinks was lacking(no soda other than regular Coke, didn’t have the mango drink listed on the menu). The food was so good and so reasonable, that we went back a few weeks later. This time we brought beer with us. On the second visit, there was music playing, which improved the ambiance quite a bit, and a few other tables had guests. They had also added some Christmas decorations to make it look nicer. We met the owner on the second visit and he explained that he just moved here from New York and brought his chef with him. Unfortunately, he may have an uphill climb in getting people to try the restaurant. I hope many do, since it is a hidden gem. Prices are very reasonable and the food can’t be beat. I haven’t tried the lunch buffett, but will do so at some point in the future.

1– They served Butter Chicken but Chicken was too hard(Not cooked properly) 2– With DOSA, they served hot coconut chutney which I have never seen in my 40 years of life. 3– In Their Menu Chicken Biryani was mentioned at two places. One for $ 8.99 and another for $ 10.99. I asked for the one mentioned with $ 8.99 but they charged $ 10.99 saying that rates has been revised and their menu is showing wrong rates. When I complained about these issues, they said they will tell the cook. Thats it…

Now, I must admit it’s been hard to find a good curry that was like the ones I used to eat back in England. I enjoy a korma but they’re made, usually, with coconut which gives them a nice sweetness rather than the nuts they use here. That said, the kormas are often pretty tasty and that’s my dish of choice. This visit could have easily been a 5 star but there were a few things that let me down. First, the layout and décor of the interior. There are booths down each side and then two rows of tables joined together. It looks like they were more setup for banquet style then a casual dining experience. We picked a spot at the end of one of the rows near the buffet, which was not running in the evening. There was maybe 2 other people in the restaurant when we arrived. The floor looked really old and unfinished, not really dirty but scraped and tatty, as were the shiny, curly things hanging from the ceiling. There was one TV at the back, but it only showed which song Pandora was playing. As with a lot of Indian restaurants, there were table cloths covered by glass. The siverware we brought out(mismatched) and they had those thing napkins like you’d get at Ci-Ci’s rather than half decent ones. This is overall what lost 1 star. Just the general setup. So, that’s the layout of the place. Let’s talk about the food. We ordered samosas which were nicely cooked, I actually liked the batter which didn’t seem as thick as on others I’ve had before. My wife had the butter chicken and I went for the chicken korma and we shared a garlic naan. There were two large bowls of rice that were bought out then small dishes with the curry itself. There was plenty of chicken which was nice and tender, but I found the amount of curry itself to be disappointing. We shared a bowl of rice before us, there was no way there was enough of the curry to carry a whole bowl of rice. I would have liked to soak my rice a little bit more. There’s other restaurants where you get more. Add the nicely cooked garlic naan, that’s what saved it from being a 2 star review. Half a star off for that. Now the big one. I checked in and Unilocal!told me I would get 10% off the bill. When I showed the server the discount she said, «the app was down» so she couldn’t give a discount. This is odd because people had a Groupon at another table, they were easy to overhear, and she offered the same excuse as she gave me. I find this very unlikely and think their Groupons financially or they’re struggling, she just didn’t want to possibly get shorted on a tip or too lazy to run the discount. If you offer a discount, you need to give that discount. Overall, clean the place up a bit and give out a bit more curry and you’re looking at an easy 4 star. Honor your discounts too and that’s a slam dunk 5.

If your not Indian do not go here! When you walk in its very awkward, all the customers n staff stare at you and then you stand there waiting to be greeted finally after a minute the hostess comes from the back and acts like you shouldn’t be there. Then persist to ask everyone but your table if they need anything. The Indian people that got there after Us Received there food before us. I had to flag the waitress down cause she wouldn’t make eye contact. Then didn’t use my restaurant gift card I gave her I had to remind her. She brought it back and still wasn’t right. I paid anyway just to get out of there. They are very rude! If you don’t want anyone but family and friends in your restaurant don’t put your restaurant on things like groupon and …very ignorant to come to this country to be rude to Americans where you want business ! To bad you can’t rate them negative stars…

This place is a scam. We bought the groupon deal and they fail to honor them. It is a trick to get you into the door. There were no customers in the restaurant when we got there. We were wondering why no one eats at this place. Now we know because they rip the customers off. The food is awful. Not again.

Update: too inconsistent on menu and prices. Seems like it is different every time we go. There is apparently no more lunch menu and no more thalis. Naan is no longer included if you get rice.

Worst Food of my life… Wish Unilocal had the feature to give negative stars. I happen to go today(7÷13÷2015) for lunch. The whole restaurant was empty however the interiors were good so we thought of continuing our plan to have buffet. However when we looked at the food it was not fresh and it seems left over of 1 – 2 days. A thick layer had deposited over all the curries and it had a little smell. Chatni’s were completely rotten. I will not recommend anyone to go to this restaurant even on weekends forget about weekdays.

They’ve listed that they deliver but I was not allowed to do so when trying to place an order online. When I called the person that answered said they deal with delivery on a case to case basis and if their manager is available. I decided to look past this and order pick up anyway. Got a call 2 mins after ordering saying they don’t have lamb and asked if I wanted chicken instead. Didn’t seem like too big of a deal so I agreed. 5 mins after this I get a call saying 2 more items of the remaining 4 items I ordered weren’t available(nothing too fancy just a dosa and bhel puri). This did it for me… Asked them to cancel the entire order and will never be ordering from here again.

I had the lunch buffet on Saturday. Nothing will blow your mind but the food is overall solid. The selection is not bad and the naan comes fresh and is pretty good. I like this place more than the other options in the area including Mumtaz, India Chaat, etc(I love Indian food and have pretty much tried them all). I’ll be back when I need my Indian food fix.

Wonderful food. This is more of a casual, take your time and settle in to relax and hang out kind of restaurant. Don’t go and try to rush through dinner. Bring your favorite bottle of wine and friends and hang out. The naan and the tikka masala and butter chicken were wonderful. My husband was not a fan of their special mango drink but myself and my toddler loved it. It would be great mixed with some crushed ice and served as a smoothie! Very close to being a dessert. No ice in their drinks, which is on par for culture– if you want ice — ask! We plan on going back.

I am a lover of Indian food and I was surprised that the food was this good. Last time I was here. Food was cold. We got one item to take back and was charged full buffet price. This writer can tell you, under new management, the food was just right. Hats off to the chef. Worth a try! Nancy

Huh. I’m really confused by the bad reviews for this place. It’s close to home and I was using a coupon so quite honestly my expectations were not that high, but I was really pleased with the food and the service. Sadly it was pretty dead for a Friday night but we got excellent service as a result. The waiter recommended the chicken chettinad which was great. Because we had a coupon where we had to order over a certain dollar amount to get the discount, we got several dishes. The chicken samosas were awesome; the okra and tomatoes and grilled tilapia were a little less flavorful but pretty good as well. The naan was nice and soft(and plentiful). We also got mango lassis and some butter chicken to go that I haven’t tried yet. It was pretty hard to spend $ 50! The prices are really reasonable. The pictures of the buffet food look pretty good so I plan on coming back to try it. There must have been some kind of management change at this place or it has a bunch of fake bad reviews… not sure which but I’d definitely recommend giving it a try. Oh yeah, and BYOB!

As a frequent traveler for my job, I eat a lot of Indian food all over. Indian is my go to when I don’t know what to eat. This place is by far the most amazing Indian food I’ve ever had! Everything has amazing flavor. The owner came out and talked with us when we first arrived. He was so sweet and took care of us.

Not good enough to ever go back. Food was spoiled, and Nan took 20 minutes to be refilled on the buffet. We were told the cook went away on a personal assignment!

I went with my SO to eat here for dinner, and we had an excellent dining experience. The restaurant is clean and nice on the inside, certainly appropriate for an Indian restaurant. Food was all well prepared and flavorful. We had gobi manchurian, some samosas to start, then paneer tikka masala and tandori shrimp. Each item was well above average, the gobi was some of the best we’ve had. Service was great also.

I hope you read this before you buy a groupon! Please don’t go here it’s really not worth it. Horrible service. Horrible good. Too cold! They had no heat ! But the atmosphere great. Nothing was good I ordered 4 entrees and none were tasty. I told them and they didn’t do anything about it… 0STARS!!!

What a disappointment! We eat at many Indian restaurants in the area and this one has the honor to get the title of worst food in town. Watered down curries, bad quality chicken — terrible. Hope they only have a bad day today. Regardless I am never coming back. Oh And btw I tried to rate this place with zero stars, but the system didn’t let me.

The namesake of this restaurant is a famous restaurant chain in Bangalore. This one even copies the brand logo of the original one. So when we decided to eat here, our expectations very extremely high. Boy, were we disappointed. We were waited by a teenage boy who has no food service experience. They were out of dum chicken biriyani which apparently is prepared earlier during the day. So good luck getting it for dinner. We ordered samosas which were clearly bathed in oil. Even the potato stuffing was oozing oil. It tasted as if we had put a spoonful of oil in our mouth. The oil was definitely refried several times. Our food took forever to be brought to us. The raitha that should accompany the biriyani was brought to us after we were half way through eating the biriyani. The portions were smaller compared to other restaurants of the same league, but the prices were higher. When we asked for boxes to pack the leftovers, we found out they were out of to go boxes. Overall, very poor experience. Would not recommend to our friends. Avoid avoid avoid.

$ 10.99 for a lunch buffet which is higher than the other Indian buffet places. They didn’t replenish the buffet as often. When I went up there for my second plate, all they had was soupy liquid for most of the dishes. Also, it took a while for the naan to come out. I was almost done with my first plate before it arrived to the table. It would have been nice to sop off my plate of food with the naan. The selections were meh. Also, it was weird that they didn’t take cash when I went up to pay for my meal. I guess they didn’t have time to go to the bank that day.
