Waffle House

Went today to enjoy breakfast with my mom. Walked in, and we stood there for about 10 minutes. Not one employee acknowledged us, even to greet us or to say «one minute we’ll be right with you». Place smelled, employees looked like they didn’t want to be there, had attitudes. Waste of time. Ended up going to Judys Café on Campbell by BSE. much better service.

Waffle Houses are tiny. This one is smaller than that! There’s very little seating but luckily it’s far enough from the club scene that you don’t have drunk partygoers sleeping in booths.
The kitchen is open of course, so they have to keep their cleanliness standards high. On this night there was a piece of bread and a strip of bacon that were on the floor that were never picked up. As long as it stayed there and not picked up and put on the griddle, I’m good with that.
The food was typical diner food. The service was slow. The prices were great!
I’ll be back. Not because I had a remarkable experience but because it’s the Waffle House.

Delicious. Clean. Fast Service. Staff is keeping it real here. This Waffle House is on the small side but it is not small of heart. Right off the GB turnpike the location is convenient and close to petrol.

Waffle House is one of those restaurants that stand still during the test of time. It had been at least 20 years since I last stepped foot in a waffle house, but nothing has changed — except for an upgrade to the jukebox to a more modern electronic version. The menu was the same and if I remember correctly, so we’re the prices. Or maybe I wasn’t the starving college student anymore and didn’t care how much coffee and eggs cost.
When my Seattle born husband mentioned that he had never been to the W House, I knew we had to go. We grabbed the kiddos to expose them as every good parents should. Yes my kids are used to finer palates, but truth be told… they loved waffle house. The staff were awesome tending to our needs and was full of yes ma’ams and other manners that would have made their mothers proud. While the floors could have been cleaned a bit more and the menus made this germaphobe nervous, we will definitely be back! It brought back some great memories from a time when sticky floors didn’t matter, but all that did was a good time.

Great meal, wonderful atmosphere. Loved seeing the leadership and teamwork. Everyone genuinely seemed friendly.

Ok so I came in here and was ignored for about 10 minutes. It wasn’t so busy that they didn’t have the time to at least greet us. It was as if we were purposefully being ignored. The waitresses were being snappy at each other. They get 2 stars because how good nit smelled.

your employees smoke weed on their breaks right outside the front door while drinking liquor and beer… where are the managers? why aren’t you managing your employees? this place is nasty and smells funky!

It’s a Waffle House which if nothing else is consistent in content. Staff turnover seems low to date, and cleaner than many I’ve visited. A great deal for a morning bite.

Ah the late night staple craving that only waffle house can fix. Employees are great and kept my coffee cupful sure waffle house is known for their waffles so the Allstars breakfast is the way to go since it comes with pretty much everything on their breakfast menu and comes with coffee and is enough food to share. But for me the sausage egg and cheese biscuits are the way to go.

Now i really love waffles ’ i have my own waffle maker and everything. But i have been dissatisfied multiple times and i am seriously considering of never going back.

Place was too filthy and music too loud to eat there so we left

Went here after church not too long ago and just like any Waffle House the service is great. We were able to sit as soon as we got there and were greeted when we sat down. The server was very helpful, I wanted two waffles and eggs and eggs. She told me what combo to get. Food always comes out fast and the waffles were on point and so was the bacon.
There is really not much bad you can say about WH. But the best thing you can say is that it’s always cheap!

So this was my first time trying out a Waffle House. I usually go to other breakfast places but today I figured why not give this place a try since it’s near home and I always pass it up. When we first walked in, my wife and I were greeted by all the employees there. They have a jukebox playing all genres of music which was pretty cool. It took about 5 mins to get a booth. It’s a small place with about 6 tables in all and a few bar stools. Jackie was our server and was very informative about the menu with what we can substitute. The only thing I disliked about the place was the heat. It gets hot inside so wear some shorts and a tank. It’s hard to control temp in a small place. Overall our food was served fast and it was delicious. We will come back here.

Really enjoyed the gravy with my waffles! Must try it. There’s complimentary coffee when you first walk in and welcome for refills which is nice to gesture! Come to California pls

While I normally love Waffle House (and I’ve been to MANY of them), this one left something to be desired.
Pros:
1. The food is fantastically greasy and uniformly yummy. Cheese steak omelet with hash-​browns with cheese and chili=heaven!
2. The coffee is always good and is guaranteed to keep you awake! Did you know you can buy the beans too?
3. The (head) cooks are normally nice and good at what they do. This one even came to chat with us for a bit to make sure everything was just right.
Cons:
1. The music was WAY too loud,
2. The waitstaff was no where to be found… had to ask for coffee refills more than once.
3. The backup cook left the fridge open for 8+ minutes AND a waitress just kept walking right by it. The cook prepared an entire meal for a party of 4+ while the fridge stayed open!
4. The «strawberry» waffle looks to be more like a thin dribble of strawberry syrup cooked into the top.
Bottom line: If you’re needing a Waffle House fix, I’d recommend patronizing another one.

Waffle house is just a fun place to get a warm breakfast and watch people of all sorts. Service is always excellent where ever you go.

The coffee was awesome. Everything else was cold (when it was supposed to be hot) & bland (when it was supposed to have flavor). Now I know why I don’t go to a Waffle House. The staff was friendly tho.

Never again. We like going out to breakfast and thought we would go to Waffle House. The service was terrible. The three of us received our dishes at different times. About 5 min. after my husband and I finished ours, my son’s 2 waffles finally came. Other patrons who seated after us were getting waffles delivered before my son was.
The food was ok but we have been to other places that are much better and food comes out by table, not by person. In addition, our watress’ attitude was a «oh well» kind of reaction to the whole thing. Will be spending our money somewhere else.

First things first, this is a waffle house it is not 5* dining. Don’t expect it to be something it’s not. Waffle House is not the pinnacle of fine dining.
That being said they make breakfast so ordering something that is not breakfast will probably not be the best decision here. Although I’ve heard that the pork chops are pretty good and my b/​f likes the chili.
I have one of two things when I eat here. Waffles with 2 eggs fried medium and hashbrowns smothered, covered, scattered, capped, diced, and peppered (or for those of you not in the waffle house lingo — chese, onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, and mushrooms). OR I have grits with cheese and toast — always gotta have toast.
You really can’t go wrong with the hashbrowns.
This particular location is one of my favorites because the service is consistently good, and it seems to be one of the cleaner Waffle Houses I’ve been in.

Well let me start off by saying when the food was going in it was good as far as waffle house standards go. When I got home, well, it was all down hill from there. I got really sick and my daughter did too.
I’m not sure what I expected from a place that cleans the inside floors with a water hose while making your waffles. Scarey, yea I know.
Hind sight is ²⁰⁄₂₀ and needless to say I don’t think I’ll be eating there again! lol Good Luck if you do decide to get brave and try ‘em out.
