Love the food. It is always fresh and tasty. Good portions for the price. I eat there at least twice a week. I wish there was one closer to my house.

Wow Wow last time I went there was when they first opened years ago and it was so bad I was commenting how Taco Bell was similar. I thought I’d never go back but I’m so glad I did. The food was great! Mahi Mahi tacos was delicious! ! Def going back!

Rubio’s is apparently a California fixture so my fiancée and I decided to eat here. The service was fast and friendly, and clearly knew what they were talking about. This is easily one of the best taco de pescado(fish taco for all you plebs) I have ever had! The steak burrito especial is extremely tasty as well! Great food, great price, great service, what more do you need?!

Just went to Rubios for the first time. The service by Mirella Gabriella was wonderful. She was super friendly and helpful. The service was quick and efficient. Guacamole was great and the food was brought out quick! Perfect for when eating with a three year old. I wish they were able to take tips! We will definitely be back!

I come here during the weekdays sometimes after class and I’ve come to realize that this is my favorite Rubio’s to eat at! Cashiers are ALWAYS friendly, management comes around and goes above and beyond to help out all the customers, and the salsa bar is always filled and neat. Food is delicious of course — Rubio’s white sauce is heaven. I used to only order their Original Fish tacos, but have branched out to other meals on the menu. I recommend their Tilapia taco plate and their salads! Yuuuummmm ;)

I have to agree with others who said that this is a sub standard Rubios. My fish tacos were barely warm. I recently went to the Rubios in Vacaville and it was amazingly delicious. Management is lacking at this outlet. Which is unfortunate because it’s the only one near my home in lamorinda.

RUDEANDRACIALLYUNETHICALBEHAVIOR I will never buy from this restaurant again! At 7:15 pm on 3÷1÷2016, I encountered the most uncomfortable, conscious form of racism. As I waited 5 minutes for a cashier or manager to greet me at the counter, no one spoke a word to me. I received 6 death stair of shock and disbelief, past up and over looked as the manager Sylvia greet every white face beside me. Maybe it’s my natural hair and dark complexion that threw off the whole staff to allow them to think that any type of mistreatment towards a customer of color is acceptable. Once the manager finally acknowledge me, I confronted her bias behavior and she replied with a microinsult statement that they’re really busy and I’m sorry, not even giving me eye contact let alone a reason why my order has been just sitting behind the counter. At that moment I realized that the staff and sadly the manager Sylvia of Rubio’s was with out a doubt, racially bias towards African Americans. I paid for my food and threw it away outside, I lost my appetite. I WANTMYSTARBACK!

Honestly this was the worst Rubios I have ever been to. My dad and I came here just to get something light for dinner before our trip back home and I have never seen worst customer service and food quality. The cashier was just rude and looked like we were bothering him. Our food was barely food if you would call it that. I got a street taco with steak and it was tasteless and chewy. My salad was drenched in dressing and it was supposed to have chicken and I only found 1 tiny piece. My dad’s tacos were full of sauce and we’re burnt. I will stick to Rubios in my city and never come back to this one.

First time in this place and never going back! As I waited for my order, I noticed kitchen staff were preparing food without gloves. They touched receipts, register and without pausing to wash hands, they continued to prepare food with their bare hands. I asked for my money back. They refunded my money without asking why. I volunteered my concern and did not receive an apology. The staff went back to doing what they were doing. Absolutely disgusting!

This place specializes in fish tacos, and they are quite good. Order at the counter fast food style, then you’re food will arrive at your self-seated table after a few minutes. Quality was very good. Beer available(naked Corona, not dressed), I would have paired my tacos with a margarita but that’s not available, my only complaint really. Will I go back? Yes.

I had the fish taco and soup! The food was fresh and delicious. I loved all the salsas and the Manager herself delivered our food with a smile assuring us if we needed anything to just let her know! Everything was clean and the entire experience leaving you ready to come back! Great job Rubio’s!

It was passable for fast food. It was the middle of the day so there were no lines. I ordered the Rubio’s Street Tacos(steak) which came with guacamole and cilantro/onion. It came with a side of beans and tortilla chips. Reasonable selection of different salsas, lemons, limes, hot sauces, and extra onions. Food was fresh, and the service was polite. They bring you the food which is nice. It is what it is, fast food Mexican.

Great place, but the best part is their taco Tuesday special… get their signature fish tacos for $ 1.50 each! Extensive menu. Good salsa bar. Decent selection of Mexican import beers too. Can’t get to Baja? This is the next best thing.

This was my first time going to a Rubios, and I don’t think I’ll go back. Everything was fresh and the place was clean, that’s why they get 3 stars — the flavor was just not something I was used to, and I didn’t really enjoy it. Perhaps I should have asked for all of their special seasoning and sauces on the side.

Every time I come here I’m more disappointed than the last. The fish in the fish tacos is nonexistent. More like a deep fried ball with cabbage on top

Rubio’s is amazing! The food is always fresh & delicious, and services fast & friendly! I’m addicted to the fish tacos & the balsamic salad with blackened tilapia on top! It’s a must try! The location is really convenient because it’s in a pretty busy shopping center AND it’s right off the freeway!

F*** rubios. Charging for their tortilla chips common! Wtf are they made out out of gold? Even the most humble mexican restaurant has all you can eat free tortilla chips. Tacos were bland no flavor.

This restaurant really isn’t a place I would come on my own. There are a ton of better, locally owned Mexican food places in this area that I would go to first. However, a local non profit our family is involved with did a fund raiser here one night. I called in my order ahead of time so I could be in and out. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp Burrito, a kids Chicken Taco Meal and a Chicken Quesadilla for my husband. The parking lot alone is worth one star. It may be the main reason to never come here again. I drive a large truck its was borderline impossible to find a spot and maneuver around the lot. To get the donation to the non profit you were supposed to print out the flyer and present it to the counter person. I walked up and said my name for a pick up to go order. I handed him my card and my son was holding the printed flyer. I reach for it and hand it to the guy and he says«Oh, sorry I already ran your card so I cant apply the fundraiser.» So I say, «Then refund my money and reapply». What? He said«No». I said«Why»? He said his manager wont let him and he cant refund phone orders. I don’t want to argue and I was already irritated about being here. Plus, I didn’t want to make a scene in front all the non profit people sitting around eating. I took my food and left. When I got home my Grilled Shrimp Burrito was an Ancho Citrus Burrito. It was so hot & spicy I couldn’t even eat it. Then the little Churro that was in the kids meal was so stale and hard my son said it looked like a piece of wood. I regretted not getting a full refund when I was there. If only! My money didn’t go to the fundraiser and I got bad food. I would have never come here if it wasn’t for charity. And guess what? I am not ever going to come back here again even if its for charity.

New management? Dunno what happened, but the improvements are obvious and welcomed! Thank you for serving food on reusable plates instead of disposable, and for ditching the thimbles you used to serve refried beans in.(See the picture I took with my busted phone cam last year as an example) Love the salsa bar, the outdoor patio, and the cleanliness of the interior. All of your staff seem relaxed and happy — please keep them that way! Thanks for the free chips and guac that you served the entire restaurant when you got backed up during the lunch rush — it was a class act that didn’t go unnoticed. Looking forward to visiting again — great grub! :-)

Between Taco Bell and the endless taquerias of Monument Blvd. lies Rubio’s, a very safe bet and a truly great place to introduce yourself to the fabulous fish taco. Fried or grilled, you never knew tacos could be this yummy! This location added a much needed festive food choice at this shopping center, and there is plenty of seating inside to accomodate a good amount of patrons. They used to hand out pagers that would buzz when your order was ready to be picked up at their counter, but that has been ditched in favor of table numbers. Along with their fish tacos, their carnitas and steak items are very good! Chips accompany every meal and are always served warm, but they can be oversalted at times. Their salsa bar is great for dining in or out, and from tomatillo to chipotle, they have the flavor profile and heat level to keep everyone happy. Rubio’s is a winner!
