This is a great place for a Vegetarian. You get a filling, delicious bowl. And it’s quite inexpensive.

This place is the best! Fresh and healthy and flavorful. I love their chicken and tahini sauce… plus the boxes they give you to eat your pita easily.

Delicious fast Mediterranean food served in a similar assembly type line like chipotle. I got the half chicken and half falafel bowl over greens. It was really filling especially with the variety of sides that I added. I particularly liked eggplant side and the cucumber and tomato salad. I will definitely be back to try the pita the next time I’m in the area. My only complaint is that the chairs were a little to low for the tables making it a little uncomfortable. All in all a great convenient restaurant for quick and relatively healthy Mediterranean food.

I totally love me some Gotta Eat Pita. A fast casual restaurant, the Pleasanton location is large, well designed with ample seating, free wifi and even some craft beer. Score! What to expect: medium portions, affordable, fresh and healthy food, great service and long lines during lunch! You go either bowl with salad or rice or pita. I always opt for that salad bowl, although those pitas look delicious and freshly made. A ton of greens, chicken shwarama, cabbage, tomatoes and cukes, hummus and of course some pickles and some tahini. I always ask for it spicy, but their hot sauce is super weak. BRINGONTHEHEAT! Not a meat eater? Opt for the falafel! Overall, a nice meal at a nice price. I think flavor could be kicked up a notch, but all good. I can’t hate on a convenient, delicious and healthyish meal!

I really like the quality and taste of the food here. I’ve only gotten the chicken but it was quite good. Really good with the spicy sauce if you are into spicy it adds a nice flavor. Would be 5 stars but it isn’t super cheap. Still though it is a good value for what you get, as you can really eat two meals out of it if you are strategic in how to select your ingredients.

Yummy. This place has a line no matter when we come. Your choices are endless. I recommend getting the bowl, which gives you more bang for your buck. You can even save half of it… it is a lot of food. Affordable and healthy what else could you ask for?

I was looking for a place to eat near Bart and came across this restaurant. It’s like a Greek chipotle. I was very pleasantly surprised with the amount of food that came in the bowl. It came with all sorts of toppings like hummus, purple cabbage, cucumber/tomatoes, and couscous. Towards the end of the bowl, it felt like everything was very heavy and saucy. Overall the meal was quite filling and I was very satisfied with it.

Extremely disappointing experience. Walked in and found the floor of the restaurant to be covered in a slippery film– walking felt like ice skating. Not just the entrance, the entire customer-accessible part of the restaurant. My feet wanted to slip out from under me just standing still. Numerous other customers commented on this obvious hazard– no one could understand what was going on with the greased floor, or why no one appeared to be doing anything about it. Mentioned this fact to the cashier and received a blank stare. After making it through their fairly slow-moving line, I attempted to bring it up to the cashier again. «Oh, ok.» I asked to speak to the manager, who came out and mentioned that they had a problem earlier, before opening for the day. That’s all well and good, things happen, but you don’t open a restaurant to the public with such an obvious safety hazard– you keep the doors closed until the problem is fixed. A visible disregard for safety does not inspire confidence in things we can’t see, like food prep and storage. Not likely to return any time soon.

Looked for a place to eat on Unilocal because we weren’t sure what we were craving. Came across the name of this place and decided to go here! The name sucked us in! As we entered the place, it looked very spacious. The kind ladies quickly offered us a pita bread sample with hummus! Really good. They explained to us how the ordering works and so we ordered. We got a pita stuffed with almost everything. The box that the food came in was really cool allowing us to close it back up and just take it home if we couldn’t finish it. The flavors of the meat the the falafel was really good. That was actually my first time trying a falafel after hearing about it so many times. I really liked the food here and would come back. There’s nice outdoor seating for those nice sunny days.

Location is tucked away a bit and actually looks closed even when it is not! So they need some better lighting and maybe an open sign on the street side windows. Venue is large, roomy, and clean! Bathrooms are super clean too. Fresh ingredients are delicious, but the plating is a bit compact when are you are first-timer and just trying to taste things. It’s just a bowl with everything thrown in that you request. Falafels are super dry and batter is a bit plain, but the concept is there! With a few tweaks this could be a decent go-to spot!

Binky and I have been eating a LOT of food lately — we decided we wanted something easy and HEALTHY for din din on a rather dreary Sunday night. I’ve passed by this location numerous times, and finally, we decided to give this place a go – it seemed a lot like Chickpeas in Davis(I used to eat here a lot — especially during finals week when I couldn’t/wouldn’t cook) — and I was EXCITED for some crispy falafel, warm pita, and creamy hummus. We arrived around 5:00PM and the location was completely empty, with the exception of one couple in line before us. Chickpeas is a very large restaurant — at least three times bigger than my initial expectations. The ordering is pretty standard«line» food style and both Binky and I ordered a pita wrap with falafel and multiple different toppings(Gotta Eatta Pita offers a Gotta Lotta Toppings — the last three are EXTRA charge, however). We also ordered one baklava(located at the end of the counter) to share for dessert. Binky and I were AMAZED at how good the pita was — we were oh-so-tempted to order yet another one to share after we finished(we somehow managed to contain ourselves and refrain) The ingredients were all very fresh and«pure»(meaning, not heavily seasoned — the hummus, for example, tasted almost exclusively of chickpeas, olive oil, salt, and pepper). The stand-out ingredient in our pitas was CLEARLY the eggplant/tomato mixture. OMGoodness — the tomatoes were subtly sweet, the eggplant was cooked nice and soft — over the falafel, hummus, salad mixture, and covered in tahini sauce — WOW. Absolutely delicious. The baklava was very neat and tidy(broke very easily). It was not OVERLY sweet nor sticky but had a very pleasant nougat-y, honey-ish taste — YUM. The food is PERFECTION and more than deserving of five stars. The ONLY reason I took off one star is because the service was VERY slow(although not impolite). The boys behind the counter took quite a while to assemble our pita(despite being practically the only customers) and moreover, they seemed confused/startled at our questions, etc. I’m very thankful for the effort these boys put towards our meal, as they seemed rather young(high school?) and inexperienced, however, I would have appreciated if the service was a tad quicker. Overall, VERY impressed and VERY pleased with this restaurant — anticipating that this will soon become a tried-and-true GOTO for me and da Binks!

3.5 stars Pretty generous portions for a healthy fast food option. Reminds me of a more simplistic version of Cava Mezze Grille(for anyone who recognizes that from the DC metro area). I ordered a half falafel-half chicken bowl as recommended by the other Unilocalers and passed on the pita. I was offered a pita/hummus sample when I walked in but I, as other Unilocalers, was not too impressed by the pita bread. Pretty plain. Once you choose a meat, you can choose a base of either couscous or salad and then you can pile on the toppings. I got it with mostly everything. The hummus is delicious and so is the eggplant, as everyone else recommended. The tabouli, tomato/cucumber salad, and couscous are all good. The only thing I was not super impressed with was the purple cabbage – I’ve had others with a better marinade. The chicken was tasty and so was the falafel. But, I just felt like the falafel was over-fried. Like, I like my falafel crispy but it was so crispy that it was hard on the surface. A bit too crunchy for my tastes. The proteins both went well with the tahini sauce that was served at the end. Overall, I think it’s a good concept but they could improve on a few areas. The pita bread is pretty essential so I think that having a good tasty recipe is critical. It’s great that they make them in house… but homemade bland pita is nothing to write home about. Also, I think offering pita chips as a topping or as a side would really up their game. And, I think the purple cabbage slaw needs a little upgrade to their recipe. The atmosphere is spacious, inviting, and clean. Plenty of eating areas. And the service was also great.

I finally got the chance to check this place out after a 5 mile run. It was my reward. I ordered their Half-n-Half Bowl(Falafel & Chicken Shawarma). The Israeli Cous Cous was delicious and perfect as a base. It topped it with hummus, Organic Mixed Greens, and an Eggplant Greek Style Salad. I like to keep it simple. This bowl was great! The chicken was marinated so well and full of flavor. The falafels were done just right! I will order the exact same thing next time! The restaurant was clean and well-kept. Tables are spread out so you’re not right next to others. There’s plenty of parking in their private lot. Located conveniently off Hopyard and Owens and a block from 580. It’s easy to get to for some good eats!

Good place to come if you’re looking for something quick as everything is already cooked and waiting to be assembled. As you can’t go wrong with Chicken that is what I ordered and opted for the Pita( ), you also have the option to omit the Bread and go for a Bowl instead. The portion size was generous with lot’s of Chicken which had some great flavors and was fresh(we arrived as a new batch came out!), all of the veggies were also fresh and layered nicely between the meat. The Bread is so-so and went soggy really quickly due to the juice from the Chicken, seriously you could skip this and not feel like you’re missing anything. I also ordered a portion of the Falafel which comes 6 to an order but the young guy serving was nice enough to give me 8. They’re really small in size but tasty, a little over cooked though.( ) Staff are friendly and as it’s all assembled in front of you there is minimal waiting. I would hit this place up time and time again for Lunch or a casual Dinner.

You’ve just gotta eat these pitas! Love these things. The chicken is delicious, humus and pitas are always fresh. I love that they have beer on tap and Martinellis in the glass jar. The staff is always friendly and the place is relatively clean. I think it’s a bit odd that feta is $ 0.75 extra(it’s not the best feta every, but it’s tasty). That chicken is just phenomenal though, seriously. I like to get the chicken pita with cucumbers and tomatoes, humus and feta — although, I heard the eggplant is to die for. I may just have to try it next time, even though I’m not really an eggplant fan. This is my new go to place for grabbing a quick bite when I’m near Hopyard.

As far as small chain sandwich shops go, this place is a total winner. I’m eager to visit again. Upon entering the line, you’re warmly greeted with a fresh piece of pita bread. The service style is just like Chipotle with a few choices to choose from. Stand back if this is your first time. Anyways I ordered a chicken shwarma sandwich with most of the fixings with the hot sauce. I also ordered the goat cheese for extra flavor. First off and even though I’m avoiding breads, how could I after receding the sample piece when I entered? :) the softness of the pita is outstanding as are all the ingredients. I especially liked the hot sauce. The take out box is ingenious as well: there’s a perforated strip that you can tear along the middle of the box which makes eating the sandwich(at least the top half) much easier. I’m totally down for going again in the near future. This is a great option of you’re Chipotle’d out!

This a great place to get chicken shawarma or Falafel quick and cheap. I like the abundant amount of toppings they place on each pita or bowl. I find you get a lot more food when ordering the bowl over the pita. For those who like a bit of spicy taste in your food, make sure you get the spicy green sauce with your dish. I wonder why they only serve chicken and falafel. I would’ve experienced expected more meat options: beef or gyro meat or lamb. But with thwir xurrent choices, you can get a variety of topping to mix up the flavor and make the dish more interesting.

I was looking for a spot to pick up dinner and found Gotta Eatta Pita on Unilocal.Upon arrival, I was greeted with a friendly welcome. Like others said, it is similar to Chipotle, in that you tell them what you’d like in your pita or bowl as you go down the line. I ordered a half falafel and half chicken with hummus, cous cous, eggplant, tomato/cucumber, tahini, and feta cheese(costs extra). It was delicious and so filling! I actually couldn’t finish my pita(ate it with a side of hummus) and ate half the next day and it still was really good. I also ordered a side of hummus with pita($ 4.50) and I couldn’t finish it after 2 meals. The food is very good and fresh. Service was great. The people helping me were very nice and answered any questions I had with the food. One of the guys described the process to me as he was filling my pita; they put in the falafel after everything else is put in and then put the sauce on. He also was super nice when I called back since I forgot to get a receipt and had it emailed to me. Pricing is a little high, but it won’t stop me from coming back. I’ve never had problems with wait time or parking; but I’ve only been here in the evening. *Note, you get a sample of the hummus when you order a pita. They cut open the pita for your sandwich and that piece of pita is given to you dipped in hummus as you order. Nice that they don’t waste that!
