I went on the thanksgiving(2014) sale in the evening. There was a huge sign and and smaller signs on top of racks all over the store that said«shop this sale and you’re golden. 50% off everything and we mean everything.» There are NODISCLAIMERS at all on any signs at the store. I have a pix of it. But I noticed another sign by a rack of sweaters that said«excluded from the sale». So I asked a sales clerk how can this be? She just tells me the new arrivals and final sales are not part of the«50% off everything… we mean everything». So I asked the obvious. «So your sale is NOT everything 50% off?» At this point she’s looking to another clerk for help. He tells me the same thing. So I asked the same question. They both looked at me with a tinged of annoyance and indicates that’s what the corporate told them. That was their customer service. Mind you there were some people at the store but no one was buying anything so it wasn’t like I was holding up the line or anything. Their customer service could’ve been so much better-apologize for the misunderstanding, smile, take down all of their misleading signs or give 50% off everything. So disappointing. Advice to Loft-spend the extra money for«exclusions apply. See customer service for more details» on the sale signs so it doesn’t seem like you’re lying. Two-teach friendliness to your employees.

I have mixed feelings about this location. They have a decent selection of items but if you wear petite — they don’t seem to carry a lot of inventory. When there’s a sale, many sizes go quickly so I end up ordering things I like online and just trying things on in the store. Also, they seem to have various sales every week. Some sales are as low as 50% off everything and others are from 20% — 40% off. Prices are pretty high so I don’t really buy anything here unless there’s a sale or I have a coupon. While I’m a fan of LOFT and Ann Taylor because most of the items are classic and don’t really go out of style, I think I would rather shop online when the sales happen and then return the items I don’t like in the store. That way, I can actually buy something in the right size. I also agree that the quality of the items here has gone down significantly. I have a sweater that I bought from here a few years ago that still looks nice. Some of the items I recently purchased are already pilling and I’ve only worn them a few times. I’m not one of those types of people who likes constant attention while shopping so I don’t mind that the employees don’t bother me too much. Each time I’ve asked for sizes or any help though, they’ve been decently helpful. They also offer a discount for my teacher friends out there. You can sign up online.
