Our waitress was very nice and she had a sense of humor which was great. The food was amazing! Our table for appetizers ordered lump crabcake, braised escargot, malpeque oysters, & lobster special. Everything was perfect couldn’t stop eating! Then for our meals our friends ordered osso buco & Ribeye which they said was great. My friend couldn’t stop talking about how awesome her osso buco tasted. I had black angus filet mignon and asked for foie gras on top amazing! My husband ordered 24 hr braised lamb shank he loved it. All of us cleared our plates and ordered dessert which was great too! 5 Star food and it’s a byob!

Great place! Will definitely go back!!! Service was on point, food was fresh and desserts were awesome. Only ONLY suggestion is slightly bigger portions, SLIGHTLY! But that will not deter another visit! It’s BYOB, make a reservation too!!!

I came here with my uncle, aunts and mother. It was fabulous. Our waitress was EXCELLENT everything from start to finish she did well. It’s byob which is cool because it’s a pricy place. We tried to escargot(my first time ever) and I LOVED it!!! It comes in a sauce out of the shell so you don’t even really think of it as snail. I got the pera salad and the Coq Au Vin both were so delicious! My aunts did not really like their special salad the fennel one, they thought it a little bland. Everyone devoured their entrees AND got dessert just because the options were so awesome. We all split the chocolate mousse(a dessert special) and the banana foster which our waitress prepared at our table. Yes it is expensive but I believe everyone should try this place. It was wonderful. It’s small so call ahead!

I really liked this place, the olives and the bread were good besides the atmosphere feeling cramped. Maybe its the color of the walls. If it was summer, I would totally rather be outside I do not know how the summer is here, but I was totally the youngest person in the room by 35 years Hey what can I say, if you have BYOB I don’t care if I sit in the bathroom The steak was good, the dressing on the caesar salad was perfect. the dessert were amazing, I guess they get them from some place in Newark,(which is better you cant be great at it all) I had the pork chop, cause it was on the restaurant week, it was big and good, I would not get it again due to I do not like the smoky bacon flavor overpowering the whole bite but my husbands steak was amazing I would only go back to sit outside

I got to the restaurant at 6 for a party of 6. One couple was a little late and the hostess/owner made us very uncomfortable, kept asking if the others were coming and told us how much time we had to eat and we had to get out by that time. On the other hand the food was very good, veal chop was excellent. The appetizer were very tasty, but it definitely wasn’t worth the aggravation she gave us. Won’t be returning

This place is great. BYOB and the food is fantastic. In addition to serving you your appetizer and entrée they bring out a little tastings — sort of like a chefs special to try… I think its such a great idea and makes you appreciate the restaurant more-so than others as you have a little surprise to look forward to each time you dine there. The service was great too. We are not an easy group of people but the server did an excellent job communicating with us and trying to accommodate all of our requests. Definitely recommend this place if you haven’t been!

We had a great meal for my daughter birthday dinner, there food was delicious. Tuna for starters was off the charts, my Halibut over risotto was amazing. Easy parking

Dined at Daniel’s last night with a party of 6. Started out good and then fell flat once the salads came out. We always love the marinated olives that come out, the small soup and bruschetta were also good. I ordered the mixed field greens salad with a raspberry vinaigrette. The dressing was way too acidic. Too much vinegar and not enough sweet for balance. The Caesar and special salad were not received well either. The Crab cakes were good. To the entrees, I ordered the short rib special. Braised in red wine. Of the meat that was there, it was flavorful. For a $ 30+ entrée I expected much more than two small ribs that had a total of 4 Oz of meat, 2 Oz of fat. Don’t order this if you’re hungry. Scallop entrée came out cool to the touch, had to send it back to get reheated. Rib eye was bland and the worst part was the unappetizing large white globs of fat that ran throughout it. Our Waitress was missing after she cleared our soup course. She didn’t even know what we thought of the meal and that the scallops went back, a busser took care of that. Another annoyance was that the entrees came out staggered with at least 4 minutes from the time the first plate hit the table to the last. And that does not include the Scallop issue. Along with the poor food and service was the clear need for an electrical service upgrade. Every 30 seconds the lights dim when something in the kitchen kicks on. Gets kind of annoying and makes you wonder what other shortcuts they’re taking. Gave it two stars because I have had a good meal here before, I just don’t think, as a local, I’ll be back anytime soon.

Ah Daniel! What happened? I’ve had great meals here over the years, but my last experience was so disappointing! We chose this place for my mother’s birthday based on past great dining here. Our reservation was at 6:30 this past Tuesday and it was moderately busy. The server was very pleasant and recited the detailed specials from memory. We ordered two special appetizers — mission figs with a balsamic reduction and buratta, which was advertised as being imported from Italy. The figs were mushy ping pong ball size figs served with a small mound of prosciutto on the side. The burrata was flavorless and the texture was more like mozzarella. Both were disappointing I think the main problem with the fish entrees was that they were prepped before service began and reheated to order which made the texture and presentation quite disgusting. My father and I had the black grouper special and hate to say that I’ve had better grouper at the Bone Fish Grill. My mother had the scallops, which she asked for medium rare and they were overcooked and only seared on one side. We ordered sides of haricot vert and broccoli rabe. The haricot vert were the only items of the meal that were properly cooked. My 3 stars are based on the server and past experiences here. The food was 1 star on this occasion and was hopefully just a bad night for the kitchen. I’ll probably return to Daniel’s at some point, but will have lower expectations next time.

This is our favorite restaurant. Last night we had stone crabs and duck meatballs as an app, oh so good!!! For entrées I had the Grey Sole special and my dh had the Osso Bucco, both off the charts great! Service, as always was spot on. Finished with a cappuccino and banana foster, simply amazing.

This place was fantastic! I came here for my birthday dinner and I was very impressed! We were seated outside and it started to rain. The host quickly moved us inside where we were seated without delay. The food was incredible… I ordered a scallop entrée which was accompanied by asparagus and lumps of crabmeat atop a bed of risotto. The portion size was just right and everything was absolutely delicious! Finally, I ordered the cannoli dessert. Again, it was incredible! I highly recommend Daniel’s Bistro and I can’t wait to go back!

Good to great food and great service made for a nice evening. Food: Amuse-Bouche: Delicious. Appy: Mussels were slightly fishy and I’ve had better chorizo. Main: Peppercorn steak was delicious, but you must love pepper to enjoy it. The quality piece of meat was perfectly cooked. Dessert: The tremisu was good, but the accompanying ice cream didn’t have much flavor. Price: It was restaurant week, so it was a good deal, otherwise the prices are expensive. Service: The hostess(an older woman) was not friendly, but our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Atmosphere: Older crowd, but there was some energy. Drinks: BYOB. The steak was delicious, but I may not be back because of the prices.

SERVICE:(A++) First, we were running late to our reservation and called ahead and the host greeted us with warmth and friendliness to take our time. Upon arrival we were greeted by her with personalized service asking us if we had successfully put our newborn to sleep. We were seated with waitress Rachel. Menu and specials knowledge are so essential to the dining experience and she knew it fromA to Z. She also had great timing and added personal touch with a candle on desert for our anniversary. The food runners were polite and generous with refills, pouring, and replacing silverware with each course. FOOD:(A++) for appetizers we ordered the burata cheese, duck meatballs, tuna tower, and lobster cocktail. Presentation was neat and clean, but the flavors and textures of it all were beyond exquisite. Duck Meatballs were fresh, unique, and perfectly braised to melt in your mouth. Even the cocktail and tarter sauces with the lobster were homemade and fresh. Entrees ordered were the filet mignon and Arctic char. The foie gras was such a great accompaniment to the steak. Also the personalized fish temperature was a great detail which is rarely offered for fish dishes. Desert was the ricotta cheesecake and it was a great selection to end our evening. We did see that they do a flambé display at your table should you order the bananas foster or the berry flambé– which is a nice ‘wow’ factor. Everything we put on our mouths were amazing. OTHERNOTES: Awesome place for fine dining, but not for large parties of 10 or more bc of the small spacing. Great Date night or couples night out. Don’t forget to make reservations and BYOB!

This review is for our *Jersey Shore Restaurant Week” dinner only. We went with another couple last night and I’m afraid this is a fine example of getting what you pay for with a our reduced price we received a reduced value experience. Running out of artic char they were subbing salmon, branzino was one small filet and you needed a magnifying glass to find the sides, small ribeye required a $ 5 up charge and was only so so, pork chop was good but it was the only decent plate served. Finally the deserts were scaled down and lackluster. Bottom Line: Daniel’s sets the bar now with some of the loftiest pricing within the Jersey Shore Dining scene and they normally deliver the goods. For this November segment of restaurant week however they missed the mark.
