I love the brazilian appetizers at Casa Pastel. Food is fresh and well made. The drinks, chicken pie and fruit salad are over priced

This place has been very good for the most part. Food and service mostly really good. The last time I went though the pastel was not good. It looked like it was drenched in oil. It was especially disappointing because I brought guests there telling them how good the place was. Also a few times we went there looking for one or two of our favorites but they said they did not have them ready and would not be making anymore even though it was sometimes 2 hours before closing. This is not so much a criticism as they may have business reasons for doing this so much as a note that I wish they would make those items available. As for the items, here is a breakdown of items we tried and what we thought: Coxinha was good Pai de queijo– good Beijinho/coconut sweet. Cake– not good Pastel– sometimes good Soup– ok Pastel de forno– not that good Also price is pretty good ad service also.

This was a great place. My girlfriend and I stopped here on the way to W. Palm Beach and I am very glad we did. All of the staff was very helpful and the food was great. Especially the coxinhas these are my favorite. Thank you Casa Do Pastel for your hospitality.

This place lost on the reviews just because of their service. Everything is so much more expensive than in another places, It is not worthy a dime… They do not care about the costumers at all. They are very rude, not patient nor understanding in any matter. If you want to go there, it is up to you, all on your risk… Everything they sell there I can get it better at the Padaria Brasil with better and smiling employees… Never waste my time and money again.

This place has the best empanadas I’ve ever had. My favorites include pamilto y queso and the banana y chocolate. The people there are really friendly too. My favorite place in pompano to have a quick bite with friends.

We drove 1 hour from Palm Beach just to come to this place. It was all worth! Good Brazilian Salgadinhos, great and fast service. My favorite was the churros with dulce de leche and the sugar cane juice(caldo de Cana). I came with my family of 4. We ate like crazy and paid only $ 30. Each Salgadinho was about $ 2 and we tried each one of them. I really recommend this place!

I love this place! Their empanadas are addicting. The shrimp with catupiry is my favorite. I love going there for lunch. Their juices are great. Everything is made to order. Very clean place. Polite friendly staff. I’m going to take all my friends here.

Authentic Brazilian bakery, the restaurant is counter service with several tables inside. The restaurant is super clean and the service is very friendly even for us non-Brazilians. Their specialties are Empanadas, they have every filling you can think of like beef with heart of palms, beef with sundried tomatoes, cheese and eggs and so many more. They even have sweet empanadas with fillings like dulce de leche and chocolate coconut and more, The empanadas are each made from scratch to ensure the freshest quality. The dough is perfect and the stuffing is just the right combination. Casa Do Pastel also has several varieties of fresh soups available, chicken pies, traditional cheese breads, salty pastries, acai bowls, fresh juices and a large array of homemade cakes, churros with dulce de leche, Brazilian pastries and tamales either sweet or salty, everything of course made fresh from scratch. Everything is very reasonably priced with Empanadas being under $ 3. There are several Brazilian bakeries in the area but I found that they only speak Portuguese and are not friendly if you don’t speak the language, so I found Casa Do Pastel very refreshing in that their service was just as friendly and attentive. Some of the food does take a few minutes to come out due to it being made fresh, this is not a fast food restaurant, expect to wait a few minutes for quality fresh food. Also, this place is always busy but they have 2 cashiers at the counter and seem to take orders fairly quickly, the parking lot can also be tricky but there is more parking on the side.

What a great little hole in the wall pastry shop. Everything was fresh and delicious. I got some little pastries to go: Pao de Qeijo, Kibe, Bacalao com Mandioca or Yuca and a Suco de Caju(Cashew Juice) The juices are made in house. So yummy and the lady behind the counter was quite helpful and very nice. I was very pleased and can’t wait to go back.

Would love it if they had a location in the Bay Area!!! The pasteis were sooooo good!!! I especially loved the goiabada with cheese pastel and the doce de leite pastel. The beef esfia was also very good, nice and moist with plenty of meat. The only disappointment was the chicken coxinha, which was to dry. Service was good with friendly cashier. I will visit again before heading back to California. Overall very tasty!

Try the coxinhas with cheese and the pamonhas with cheese. To die for! Coxinhas…chicken broth and flour dough stuffed with seasoned chicken and cream cheese… delicious. Empadas…mini chicken pot pies. Pamonhas sweet. Sort of tamale but sweet and with cheese. Brigadeiro…chocolate balls. All the cakes are kick ass too. Never had anything I didn’t like. Plus sugar cane juice.

If your Brazilian or you want to try pastels, this for sure is a place you need to check out. They have everything a great Brazilian bakery should have. For the newbies I suggest the beef and cheese pastels or chicken and for sure get them fried. Don’t for get to try the other goodies to like the stuff cheese breads yum yum!

Top notch, huge selection of Brazilian pastries. My go to favorites are the Coxinhas with cream cheese and cheese bread but I’m looking forward to trying their other options too! Lots of space to sit and enjoy the food at the store.

These are literally the best pastels in South Florida. I sometimes have a craving for them and I have tried many different places in the area. These are so good that they taste like the ones I would have when visiting my family in Brazil. They have so many different types and as someone who doesn’t eat meat I was definitely able to get different varieties. I brought my Brazilian mother here and she absolutely loved this place then told all her friends. Keep in mind most of the food is fried but the oil that they use taste«clean.» I don’t eat fried food often because it makes me sick but this place I do not have that gross feeling after I eat it. It is very fresh. Edit:(4÷5÷16) My mom still vists and request to go there. It’s still very great food! Also you must try guarana soda as it’s a Brazilian must with pastels.

This place is authentic Brazilian style kind of food! The empadão de frango(chicken pie) is my favorite, but anything here is delicious! Known for their Pastel(empanada), they have a tones of different mix that any other culture would never guess in putting together in it, but we Brazilians do :) and it comes out amazingly good! Super fresh and fried at the moment you ask, so is also super crunchy and hot! Be careful! They have at least 4 – 6 different soups daily and fresh juices including our famous Caldo de Cana(sugar cane fresh squeezed juice). If your near by, you HAVE to stop by, if you are not, but is craving Brazilian deliciousness you should definitely consider driving here. Totally worthed!

This little«door» locate on Sample Rd. on the east side of 95 is the true ‘Empanadaland”! Do you love empanada? Only empanada lover’s will understand how important is to have the perfect combination of the perfect dough with the perfect filing. Casa do Pastel hit super high score by having both! Not only that they also have an incredible list of variety of different filings, were are talking, cheese, beef, chicken, shrimp, pork sausage, jerk beef, Dulce de leche, guava paste… The list is almost infinite! That is so good! It is a small store with space to sit down inside, it’s very simple with nothing special about the decoration, because they actually don’t need to worry about it, since you are a lot more busy reading their long list of empanada options to choose your order, than worried about what art they have on their walls. Their service is on the counter where you place your order and pay for it, they are attentive and they fry your empanadas after your order so they come super crunch for you. The best part is the price that vary from $ 2-$ 4.50(this last one is for the«super empanada»(huge on size and with all ingredients inside!). Also available you will find fresh smoothies, freshly squeezed sugar cane juice, different soups like pork ribs and corn soup, and collard greens/sausage/potatoes, the typical coxinha(fried dough with shredded chicken breast filing), and other fried croquettes. Go very hungry to be able to try as much as you can, because you will have so many choices to choose from… This is another must have bookmark to visit on your list!
