Since it’s CLOSED and the owner has hightailed it back to his original Swinging Richards in Atlanta, One Star.

Ricky, Rico and the rest of the Latin and hot pole swinging men make this fabulous experience for us admirers! Highly recommended! Drinks slightly costly but the sights are worth the cost! Hot bartender too!

Dancer’s were great. Bartender was rude to my friends asking for change for tips for the dancers. I said something to the staff which corrected it. Then a girl was very sick, which I helped for a ½ hour and wasted my drinks, due to me being a medical professional. No thanks what’s so ever from the bar staff. The strippers wanted to chanallage me about her care. This was my first time to the bar. Not sure how I feel.

I have been there 4 times and went last night for the bear dancers and had the best time ever.
The only problem is the bathroom attendant. What a hateful man he is, makes me so uncomfortable that I leave the place when I have to go to the bathroom.
He also works at the Ramrod where he is just as rude to me and won’t serve me a beer. I have never done anything or said anything to the man and I tip well. I’m not sure what it is with him but I have stopped going there unless it is for the Bears party.
The management should ask other patrons about him. Someone I met last night told me he said he needed to be tipped and said where I come from we wash our hands after we use the bathroom.
I hope things change so I can go back as PJ’s runs a shuttle on weekends and I would use that if it weren’t for the bathroom situation.

I went there for the first time with my husband tonight. Geesh it was everything I was expecting and more. The boys were hot! Something for everyone and the full nude part was great!!! The lap dances are worth every penny. Definitely coming back again on my next trip to Florida. Thanks again guys.

I went the other night for the first time in a while. They said it has new management and I could tell. The place was really busy. I noticed the cover was half what it used to be as are the drinks. no more food which didn’t make sense to me and no more bathroom attendant which was pointless. Basically you don’t feel liked your charged to breathe. It’s a comfortable place and the dancers were friendly and hot. Overall it was worth the return. We had a blast.

OK so I am amazed that this place is still open The place is never busy, yeah there are a few hot dancers but my guess is this place will be closed in about 6 months, The little twink that takes the money for lap dances needs to lighten up, He needs to realize that he is not the lap dance police and he should just take the money and keep his mouth shut ! I think he is envious of the dancers or something In any case don’t waste your money here even on a night like Wednesday where there is no cover the place was empty with the exception of a few senior citzens that had nothing better to do

My boyfriends ex who was visiting from out of town likes to frequent establishments such as this one… I didn’t mind the cover charge, we went on what I guess was a slow night, so we weren’t charged for parking, over all we had an ok time, one of the dancers actually came up to me !! (ALL OF THE OTHER DANCERS NEVER EVEN MADE EYE CONTACT WITH ME) so for him to do so, That’s usually taboo, meaning that I am not a Overweight, older Caucasian male. (They are the ones to usually get hit on by dancers!) lol. Anyway we had an ok time. Nothing great, nothing horrible. Clean place, clean restroom, clean looking dancers.

I don’t know what people are complaining about! I had a great time. I went last Thursday Dec 19 and again Sunday Dec 22. Parking was free both times. Admission was $ 10 and $ 12, with $ 2 rail drinks Sunday 9:30 — 10:30. It was a little slow Thursday and early Sunday, but all of Ft L is pretty slow the week before Christmas. The dancers are excellent. A good mix, though there were no African-​American ones either time I was there unfortunately. The dancers were very friendly — obviously looking to give lap dances — but not pushy or obnoxious at all.
I agree with the prior review, that the young man who sometimes wears glasses is an excellent dancer; BTW he gives a great lap dance too! :)
Overall, it was very fun, and not that expensive. See their web site for deals as well. I guess I spent about $ 50 — 60 on drinks and generous tips. Lap dances are more of course.

First let me say, after reading the other reviews, I think S.R. should put a sign on their front door that says the following: «If you are cheap, A complainer, or just a Asshole, please do not enter.
I went to S.R. over Thanksgiving weekend. I went both Thursday and Friday night. It was over the top fantastic. I had been to the Aventura location, and while this location is different, it is not better or worse, it is just different. How many clubs get to reinvent themselves and keep things happening for the customers. And in all honesty for those attached to the old location, it’s gone, get over it, enjoy the new location.
I own a gay bar in Tampa, FL, so I am familiar with the bar aspect of things. I can honestly say, drinks are reasonably priced and poured perfect. For those reviewers who complained about the drinks, I guarantee if you tip more than 50 cents next time, you will get a better drink! And for those who complained about the cover charge, stay home and watch Netfix. Where else can you go in the entire state and see Hot, Naked Men? Be glad they don’t charge more, because a lot of people, like myself, would pay it.
The dancers here are Hot, Hot, Hot. No matter what your type of guy is, they have guys of different nationality and body type. No way you will not be pleased. (unless your into small dicks, because that is one thing I did not see) The dancers are super friendly, as is the bar staff. Our cocktail server, J.P. was excellent and remembered my drink the next night. As soon as I was finished with my drink, he was right there asking if I was ready for another, always with a smile.
Many of the dancers use the pole in a way I have never seen. Sort of Cirque Du Soleil porn, that is amazingly hot. Lee rocked my world on the pole, doing one handed cartwheels, hanging from the ceiling, and with his personality! Yes, they do talk. Sean (Shawn?) is another dancer who’s use of the pole is off the charts. Between that and his hard uncut (fill in the blank), he is truly something dreams are made of. And then of course there was the twins! Identical in EVERY way. And they use the same pole at the same time. Totally Wild. Some times there were so many dancers on stage, it was hard to know where to look. Kinda like a 6 ring circus.
When I went on Thursday (Thanksgiving) night, I had no intentions at the time of going back the next night. I had such a blast on Thursday, that I went back the next night. The best time I have had in a long long time!

While I’m not sure how I’d have rated the «new» Swinging Richards had I not been a fan of their former location in Aventura (I gave the old place a solid 5 stars), I’m definitely not as impressed with this new location as I was with the original spot.
As others have mentioned, this place is bigger, but at the same time, everything is seemingly more $$. Just to park and walk in the place you’re out $ 25. The admission price at their old location was more in line with entry fees to most every other gentleman’s club in S. Florida. Mixed drinks now come in much smaller glasses vs. the serving size at their former location. Also, gone from their «services» menu are the table dances the other location offered. Prices start at $ 25 for a «friction dance». Private rooms with a model/​dancer start at something like $ 125 for 15 minutes and rates go up exponentially from there.
Once inside, this club is quite large. There’s only 1 long, rectangular stage in the new place, but it takes up the entire middle portion of this building and has 2 brass stripper poles mounted on it. There are well-​stocked bars at each end of the room and a third bar up in one of the seating areas. There are plenty of places to stand and get a good view of the stage, they’ve got tables and seats along the sides of the stage (though not nearly as many as they should have), and a few tiers of booth seating further back as well.
I read another review that claimed the models/​dancers weren’t as good here and that they didn’t offer as much variety as their former location. I’d tend to disagree. IMO, this place has exactly what the other location offered; Different body types, ethnicities and styles to suit nearly anyone’s tastes. On the night we were here, they had a set of identical twins dancing; they of course worked right next to each other and were dressed exactly the same (one had a tattoo so one could tell them apart if you wanted to). If you’re a ‘size queen’, you’ll love this place, as even most of the smaller framed dancers had impressively sized, um, richards. They usually had at least 5 dancers on stage at any given time, doing 3 songs each… starting out with no shirt and wearing jeans, shorts or workout pants, peeling layers off while dancing and going fully nude during the 3^rd song.
While Swinging Richards will most likely be successful here in their new location, especially since it’s so close to Pompano Beach, Wilton Manors and Ft. Lauderdale, I do miss many things about their old location. It was more central to both Miami and Lauderdale. Also, it had 2 stages and a bar-​mounted dance pole, where this place is one big open building with 1 large stage in the center. This new location also isn’t as intimate as the old place, and at times you don’t get the chance to greet and chat with the models/​dancers you’d like to meet due to the size of this club and the amount of people packed in here. It also really lacks the fun and lively atmosphere that the old place had. I think it’s in part due to the lack of seating near the stage. Most patrons are seated back in the booths, at the bars or standing away from the stage just watching the «show», rather than being close to the action and tipping. They only had 2 or in some cases 1 bartender at each bar, so getting a refill on drinks took a long while. Lastly, the dancers tend to move up and down the length of the stage and move from one side to the other so they can show off their «stuff» to as many patrons as possible, which is great… But it can suck when you’re trying to tip a specific one, as you sometimes find yourself chasing them down, following them around the stage and from one side of the club to the other as they move.
While it’s no secret that the majority of the models/​dancers are straight, many need lessons on how to dance and move properly, as they looked awkward and could do little more than smile and bounce up and down to the beat while moving around the stage (there were a few who did have a lot of energy, could really move and could also do amazing things with the dance pole but they were in the minority). More importantly, they also need to instruct some of their models to loosen up and let down their guards a bit. In the past, even the undeniably straight dancers would make contact with the patrons as they were tipping, introduce themselves and ask your name, give tipping customers a hug or maybe even a kiss on the cheek. Twice this past Saturday night I tipped dancers, only to be given a firm handshake and a «Thanks, man». That’s the kind of formality I’d expect from a banker or a car salesman after we’d closed a deal… Not what I’d expect from a nude dancer who just thrust his penis in my face for money and is trying to earn tips. I can only imagine how awkward and uninspiring receiving a lap dance from those particular guys must be!

Went last night. No Parking charge (Not sure if that was a one off but that was nice) You’ll swear your lost as you are in a VERY industrial area. All of a sudden like a beacon you pull around to the back of this gorgeous building and realize you are there. This place reeks of class. We were met at the door by a very nice man working the cover charge station. Would be nice if the cover was less but I realize they must have a big overhead to keep this place going. The dancers were amazing super nice, would come around to say hello and thnak you for tipping. Truly a lot of fun! My ONLY negative is our drinks were REALLY watered down. I was drinking vodka rocks and knew right away that the vodka had been watered down. Next time we’ll drink beer or do bottle service. ($ 200 for a bottle of Absolute with all the fixins) It’s truly a classy joint and the men are full on nude and worth the price of admission. Check it out!

I went last Tuesday night because there was no cover charge or fee to park. The location is hard to find and the building has no signage but it is on the corner and the entrance is in the back in the parking lot. The interior is magnificent in rich wood, plush seats and is very classy. The stage is in the middle of the room, it is long with dancing poles at each end. They only have two dancers on the stage for 3 songs. When we arrived the announcer said the dancers were the 2 hottest twins in the business. Yes they were handsome but NEVER got fully nude. You were lucky if you could see their hard dicks when they flashed them quickly. You got to see hard-​ons in their bathing suits. They did not dance, in fact all they did was walk, looking for dollar bills and holding themselves. Several of the other dancers never got fully nude. All would get erect, lower their pants, then pull them back up. Hardly all nude like they claim. All the dancers were very hot and very muscular and very well endowed.
You can’t say most of the boys were dancers, I would say they strutted on the stage fully clothed, looking for tips and occasionally showing their cocks.
Then there were a few boys who got totally naked and danced around the stage. They were wild and a lot of fun to watch and tip.
Had I pad a $ 10.00 to $ 20.00 cover and $ 5.00 to park I would have been pissed, but since it was free on Tuesday, the performances were acceptable.
We ordered drinks, very reasonably priced for that type of venue, in fact for any gay bar that typically charges top dollar. We ordered french fries, very nice portion, but I asked for salt and extra ketchup and it took the waiter almost 20 minutes to return.
If the dancers actually danced and put on a show and did it nude as advertised, they could have a winning place. Management should encourage the dancers to use the poles, dance and get totally nude, not just give fleeting glimpses of their erect cock.
Lap dances are $ 25.00 but the dancers never get naked and you are being watched on camera. VIP rooms are $ 140.00, which are bigger rooms with no cameras and they boys can get naked and get wild as they say. Since many of the dancers are STRAIGHT, I’m not sure of how wild they will get or what can happen. I suggest you make your desires and expectations known and agreed on before paying for the booth. I’m sure there is no refund if your not happy. In fact the only one who may get wild is the customer.
I prefer Johnny’s, but if I go back it wil be Tuesday as long as there is no cover.

Broward). First of all there is nothing to compare Johnny’s (TOB) to either Swinging Richards
(SR)
or Boardwalk.(BW) BTW SR or BW does not charge for parking. SR has valet parking for those who request it, strictly optional. Don’t be surprised at TOB to pay $ 5 on empty lot ($ 2 off 1^st drink w/​parking stub)
This is my 3^rd visit to SR in Pompano Beach much much better than when they were in Aventura (Miami area).
However they need more dancers w/​average body’s, not all the Tarzan types. The Tarzan types didn’t go well in Toronto @ a bar called «Remington’s» (men of steel, there motto). Remington’s changed to both average & Tarzan types & improved their biz.
Twice on the weekend Sat, & a Fri. Cover was $ 10 $ 5.00 Tue-​Thurs @ SR & well worth it …
If you don’t like cover charges (I Don’t either) then go to TOB & it’s
ghetto bar. (Johnny’s) during the week free & $ 10 on the weekend. Same @ BW, BW & SR both classy places. Cover charges are a necessary evil, without them every cheap person in the world would be here. $ 8 for a well cocktail is cheap. ALWAYS a dam good drink in a gay bar & not only a strip bar & in other cities not only Ft Lauderdale.
again if prices for drinks ($ 8 well) & cover charges are of a concern for you go to TOB with their filthy bar, or stay home. we DON“T need you. It is because of cheap people that there is cover charges & usually $ 2.25 on the average higher per drink charge.
It costs a lot of money to run a business & money comes from the customers.
further no one likes cheap people.

On the plus side, the new location is much nicer looking and convenient to Fort Lauderdale. Now for the negatives.
* $ 5 to park and $ 20 to get in. The Aventura location was $ 10 with free parking.
* While the new space is more sophisticated in design with more places to sit, it is also really dark, including the stage. It is often difficult to see what’s going on– that is until the DJ starts flashing the epilepsy-​inducing strobe lights right into the audience members’ faces. There are some smaller stages between booths but none were being used.
* There are several flat-​screen televisions with an endless loop of a ‘Guys Gone Wild’ video. Very distracting in that the screens are quite bright compared to the dark stage and the guys in the videos do more than the real-​life dancers.
* The bartender on the night we went had no idea what he was doing. My Amaretto Sour had no sour and he didn’t seem to know what to do. It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks which are now in glasses that are half the size they used to be.
* While the former location had a fun, party atmosphere, this location was much more downbeat and a generally older crowd. Most patrons were listless and just stood and watched without reaction. There was also a lot of smoking.
* If you like thin Latino guys under 6ft, you’re in luck because that’s pretty much all they have here. We were there for two hours and I counted about ten Latinos, one black dancer, three white dancers and no Asians. There was one bodybuilder type who just sort of walked around the stage doing poses. The former location had a greater variety of types who were generally more handsome and better entertainers.
* The «entertainment» has taken a strange turn. Most take to the stage in street clothes and take a long time to get down to business. It gave the impression we were watching an off-​Broadway audition rather than an upscale club. There were a few stand outs as far as dance ability but most just walked around the stage and some didn’t go all the way in their strip routine. I’ve suggested before that all the dancers wear the same black Speedo with the Swinging Richards logo and sneakers– also makes it easier to pick them out of the crowd.
While I applaud the owner’s efforts to stay in business and fight the biased laws of South Florida, and I can’t blame him for trying to milk more money out of his customers, I don’t see how the new location can stay in business. It would probably be a while before we came back.
