Completely different place from the last time I was here. Atmosphere upgraded. Bento box lunch was excellent. Tuna tacos!

I’m so disappointed. I went to lunch with 2 friends ordered a Beno box, you know their lunch special, well my friends received there order and all the surrounding tables who came in after us received their food BUT me so after my friends finished their food my food was finally delivered. I was so mad I said no thank you. I have to leave now. They gave my friends food for free. I felt cheated again because I was the one who left hungry and mad. My friends had great service. They did tip the waitress. But waiting 40mins and having to watch everyone get there order but me was not a pleasant experience. I’m not sure if it was the cook or the waitress but I will not be going back they may have bit off more than they can handle with the new expansion to their restaurant.

If you’re a sushi lover like me, this is a great spot to get your sashimi on. I know the owners, we used to work together and he decided to open up this joint a few years back and tweaked a few of the sushi roll recipes and created new ones like the Tuna Tower, which is a tuna tar tar with masago, deep fried tempura batter, and rice(You have to specially asks for it because it’s not on the menu). The lunch specials are great, they have bento box items with hibachi chicken or beef with fried rice and tempura veggies or shrimp depending on which options you decide to get. It’s gotten a little more pricey during dinner time, but it’s not too ridiculous like other places that charge $ 10 per roll and $ 9 for sashimi in the area(Yeah I’m talking about you Tokyo Steakhouse) I’m a hard critic to please, so don’t judge me yo!

First time here and glad I came. The wait staff was very friendly .got here in time for happy hour, so I got a discount on my meal. I ordered 2 orders of the seared tuna. I have had better tuna elsewhere. But I’m not complaining as it was still tasty and for the size of the order and the price. I was in heaven. I’ll be sure to come back for my next sushi fix…

Ordered their Dragon roll, OMG roll, and chicken/beef fried rice. Their rolls are good and very comparable to Tokyo(another sushi restaurant in town). Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Only complaint is that we ordered several rounds of sake, and 2⁄5 times the bottle was dirty and had black specks in them.

Have loved coming here since it opened! Definitely the go-to spot for my friends and I. The rice is always cooked to perfection for either fried rice or rolls. The OMG didn’t live up the hype in my opinion. A classic roll that I like to get is the crobi which is a mixture of Crunch and Obi. My new go-to will definitely be the Seattle roll. I’ve eaten at many sushi restaurants around here and Houston but I’ve never had a roll that had smoked salmon. Overall, friendly staff and never had anything from the menu I hated.

Will not eat here again. When we 1st sat at the sushi bar, behind the sushi station was an employee(we think a bus boy, though we only saw him watch the tv and look at his phone) he had is back to us leaning against the sushi station, looking at the tv, scratching his head and playing with his hair! Right there we almost left. Thank goodness he wasn’t the sushi maker! We decided to stay«cuz there ain’t» a lot of choices for sushi in Port Arthur. The roll choices were not that interesting and most only contained I type of fish. It was basic supermarket sushi cept the supermarket versions taste better. Our waitress was attentive. They were offering a 15% off via Unilocal check in.

Since the new ownership, food is excellent, service is amazing! You have to try the crobi roll and the filet mignon with lo mein. Between Sakes and Tokyos, Sakes is much much better.

Hmm. Being from a larger area and having more experience with good sushi/Asian restaurants. Wine list is pathetic. They were out of the wine my co-worker ordered so she opted to not have a drink at all. Not being a wine snob but seriously– no other acceptable choices. Sushi was pretty good. I liked my Spider roll and the onion soup was a bit concentrated but adequate. I ordered the chicken fried rice and it was decent but had zero veggies for flavor. My co-worker seemed unimpressed with her sashimi. I/we probably won’t return on next visit to town. Positive note: the bartenders were very friendly and the service was good if not stellar.

First time eating here and it was great! The service was fast and friendly. My favorite was the crunch roll. I went Sunday evening and there was only one other family in the restaurant.

After asking me to go several times, a coworker finally got me here after telling me the sushi was really good. It did not disappoint! I had the Seattle roll and the Diablo roll, both were fantastic! They also have a great range of drinks, I myself had the Mai tai and it was a perfectly balanced drink. No bar or food snob can turn it down

I like it. I like it a lot!!! I was never in to sushi but this place changed my mind. I like almost all of it but there are a few things I avoid at any sushi place. The staff is excellent and the interior is cozy and occasionally crowded. I like the Teriyaki shrimp and almost all of the rolls. I am overly fond of the volcano roll. It’s good decent food at fair prices.

The tuna sushi is not fresh. The ambience is good for the area. This is one of two sushi places in the area. The menu may have some better items but I suggest you stay away from the tuna.

I’ve had better sushi in Nebraska. Waited over 40 mins for sub-par sushi and worse service. If the manager was standing in a puddle he’d be in over his head. Long John Silvers has better fish

The sushi was 4 star for certain. The Crunchy Roll was our favorite, absolutely excellent. We tried the Crunchy, OMG, Ahi and of course a California roll. All were delicious. It was a very busy Friday night and the service was a bit under par. We will make this a regular stop

Great place to get some sushi… this restaurant makes the most delicious crunch roll… also the OMG roll is probably gonna be on my order upon my next few returns… the chefs are quick and the prices are fair… call-in orders will usually take no longer than 10 or 15 minutes… love it!

This is our go-to sushi place every time my wife and I visit family in the area. Their rolls and fried rice are better than the other local favorite, Tokyo. The prices seem a bit more reasonable as well. Our favorite rolls are Obi, Crunch, and Tuna Diablo. Their soft shell crab is pretty great too. Our only complaint is the terrible music they play… We could do without the top 40 pop. The service can be a bit off sometimes too, but usually it’s great.
