Place was very clean and inviting. Seated promptly on a Monday for lunch. I had the lobster bisque which was very good — hot and creamy. Turkey club was good and done right. However, points off for the fries — they were limp, soggy and lacked taste. I think they need to change their fryer oil. They never should have been served — just a giant limp oily mess. I would probably give it another shot if in the area.

Headed here after my day at Cedar Point. First, the entire place is immaculately clean. The bathrooms are sparkling, as is the dining area. I ordered the pot roast served with potato pancakes. It was heavenly, tender, delicious, and smothered in delicious brown gravy, I also ordered a half order of macaroni and cheese. It was served in a skillet and had bread crumbs on top. Fantastic! For dessert I grabbed 2 cookies that seemed to be home made from the counter(mint chocolate chunk and ranger cookie). Also awesome. Finally the service was friendly, genuinely so, and efficient. Please visit this establishment. It was worth the detour!

Very fun atmosphere! The kids loved seeing planes land and take off! I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich — very good! The lobster bisque was a Little fishy but I’m very sensitive to that so don’t judge by my thought that’s because my mom LOVES the lobster bisque here! The extra order of fries and onion rings provides ALOT so order for the table! I love the diner atmosphere and we will be back!

We enjoyed our visit. The staff was wonderful and the food was great. Seeing S.O.S. On the menu was a throwback to childhood. We will definitely return.

This little diner was a fantastic find on our way home from a Boy Scout camping event at Put-in-Bay. The food was amazing and price was even better. We had four breakfasts, 2 coffees and 2 unlimited hot chocolates for under $ 45, even with the kid ordering the most expensive breakfast on the menu. Lovely people and diner atmosphere. Don’t overlook this gem.

A group of us stopped by here on the way to cedar point and this is a nice hidden gem. It’s connected to an air museum and small airport, so you could watch the planes taking off and landing. Breakfast was good especially the wing walker. Also tries a friends biscuit and gravy and that was very good as well. All in all good flavor, nice and quick service and the place has a lot of character. Would stop by here again.

I am a frequent diner and have never been disappointed. Food is typical diner food, and the staff is friendly. One of my favorite places.

Had a nice meal here. Service was good, the kitchen was fast, and the food was good. It’s a nice diner with all the usual suspects on the menu. I’ll visit again the next time I’m in the area.

Great diner!!! We had a large party(ten) and the hostess was able to accommodate us by seating is near each other. The atmosphere, watching planes come and go, is great to occupy children while waiting. The coffee is amazing! We ordered a variety of hotcakes, eggs, omelettes and breakfast meats. Everything was great and plenty of food to equate the price. After breakfast we enjoyed the museum. Great way to burn off some of those breakfast calories! Absolutely will return!

I found this place by chance looking at my map app, since we were going to cheesehaven and wanted breakfast first. I didn’t realize it was part of the aviation museum, that was neat. We also could see small planes taking off. Food was good, I got the cheese lovers omelette, my friend got the red velvet pancakes. Prices are reasonable

What a fun place to eat! I visited the museum and the diner last year. It has a great vintage atmosphere. They have pretty traditional diner food– shakes, burgers, etc but it’s pretty good! It was pretty busy when we went, so be prepared to wait!

Atmosphere is great. Food is not so great. Ordered the grown up grilled cheese with tomato. Opened the cold sandwich to find one slice of processed cheese that didn’t even cover the bread and a tiny slice of tomato. I’m sorry. But if you advertise ‘grown up’ grilled cheese one expects real cheese. This place would be great if they cared about the food.

We just ate dinner here this evening. The best part was the tables and chairs and the diner itself! The food, not so much. I had fish and fries which were so so. The fish were fried but hardly any batter on them and the fries were thin and wimpy. The lobster bisque was good. My son had steak and eggs which he liked(he’s 13; he likes everything) and my daughter had chicken strips which she said were just ok. She didn’t touch her fries at all. My husband had a burger which he said was like every other frozen burger; nothing special. And my little one who loves hot dogs, didn’t like it at all. Our waitress was the only real saving grace. It looked like she was working all the tables by herself with a little help from the manager(at least I think he was the manager). Definitely not worth the $ 56 price tag for mediocre food.

While up in Port Clinton for a friend’s wedding, I went and ventured out to find a breakfast spot. When the one I use to visit as a child(Underwood’s) was permanently closed when I arrived, over to Unilocal I came looking for a secondary solution. To my surprise, I found this place wasn’t too far from me so off I went. I arrived and thought it’d be bigger but nonetheless it was super cute. I was seated at a bar stool with funky countertops. Jason waited on me and was excellent as a host/server. He was very nice, chatty and informative. My order, a big breakfast special(which name I cannot remember) came up nice and hot. Talk about a large amount of food-oh my! Two eggs, 4 piece of bacon, hash browns and toast. Take that, two cups of coffee and water later-I was STUFFED! The best part: my bill was $ 8.95 for everything. Needless to say I went to return the next day only to be too early to test out a burger or their homemade mac n’ cheese. Next time! Definitely go! It’s worth the trip. BONUSTIP: if you stay around long enough, you may get to see a few old planes take off :)

I have been to the Tin Goose Diner a few times now, as my grandma lives in the Port Clinton area and she is a huge fan. The atmosphere is laid back & casual. The food is just good traditional comfort food. The restaurant is within the airport museum, which I have never checked out, but because of this it gets busy and is quite small– set in two old looking diners. One I believe is the original, the other is one they made to fit the look. Although it gets busy I never have had to wait more than 15 minutes. One of the fun things about the restaurant is the view which gives the patrons the opportunity to watch the airplanes come & go. Sometimes they offer rides & they always have different things going on. Opposite to what I have read from some other reviews, the wait staff has been exceptional every time I have gone. They have found us a table & brought us our food the way we had ordered quickly. My grandma is hard of hearing, and with the small area we are always worried she won’t be able to hear the wait staff, but every time they have picked up on that & made sure she understood what they were saying. It really is a fun place to go for families if you want something different with good food! The prices are reasonable as well! In the past my family has gotten a variety of different foods offered, some of the favorites around are the burgers, the BLT, the chili(it is so good!), and our family always gets a large basket of fries & onion rings to split all around. They are divine! When you’re done, make sure to get yourself a old fashioned made chocolate shake, you won’t be disappointed!

I have been to this place several times in my travels. The food and atmosphere are pretty good, but the service just doesn’t do it justice. We have come from like 9am to 11 am, they are always packed, really not cool that the wait staff let regulars and their friends get in front of other, paying customers who have been waiting patiently for a table. The servers are friendly enough, I think the biggest problem is the staff doesn’t wanna share too many tips, so they just never have enough servers to accommodate all the tables. Though I understand this reasoning, this should not be to the detriment of the customers. I’ve managed payroll for a few small businesses in my life and this is really not the way to do it. It’s really weird things that have you scratching your head here. My girlfriends sister asked to have French bread for toast, the waitress argued at first and then was like, «I’ll just toast them for you» well thanks and all, but isn’t it your job to serve your customers? I’ve been here 5 times and have never heard the specials read to me. The frenchy french toast is described as being crusty French bread, but it either sits there too long or is made wrong, because while pretty good, it is definitely mushy. They won’t let you substitute just about anything, even egg cooking, which seems weird. «That’s just how it’s made», is no longer acceptable when the likes of Burger King let you have it your way. Their coffee is good, but it’s not Starbucks, like really that much? The waitress’s gave a bunch of retired airmen free coffee to take home, which was nice, but why wasn’t I offered this? As an amusing epilogue, they were having an air show today. My girlfriends brother in law took his 9 month old to the window of the door to look at the classic planes. Guy behind the counter comes over and says, «if you keep looking, you are going to have pay the admission» really bro? Wished he would have said that to me, wouldn’t have given such a polite response.

Sorry! Really not a fan. Took several minutes before we were seated. Noticed several other people standing & waiting after we were seated, with staff ignoring them. Once we got seated our server, Dawn, came about once a minute to get our orders. She never explained the specials of the day which we heard the other two servers explaining to other patrons. I ordered the ½ lb hamburger. When it came out, cooked medium, it was may be ¼ lb. it was ok but I wouldn’t order it again. ¼ lb hamburger $ 4.50, ½ lb burger $ 8. Wife had a chicken bacon ranch wrap. It was pretty good. We won’t go back.

ATMOSPHERE: Very old-school 50’s, train car style diner. Décor could have been a little better maintained, and a little more«fixed up» but you do get a unique look at the private airport most anywhere you sit. There are only a few tables(maybe 10?), and a sit-at-the-counter option, but choose wisely… we tried to sit in the actual diner car, and the AC reubenwas blowing so cold that sitting through a meal would’ve been impossible. We chose to sit in the annexed section which connects train car to building which was much warmer. FOOD: Not terrific, and looked far better than it tasted. We had… 1) Reuben sandwich — it consisted of pressed, preprocessed meat versus a real corned beef made fresh in house — huge let down. They could have easily made a killer sandwich with a little time and effort, and seriously missed the mark. On top of it, this was the«highly recommended» option from the server. 2) Onion Rings — another let down. They are big, and looked really tasty, but once you put it in your mouth, all you got was pancake style batter — zero seasoning, and after one ring we couldn’t eat anymore(was a bit like chewing wet paper towel). SERVICE: Passable for a diner. The server was attentive when we needed drinks, brought the check in a reasonable time, and that was it. Nothing spectacular, but nothing horrible either. VALUE: Meh. The prices are okay, but I expected far better quality for my money based on other reviews. In short, there aren’t a ton of options out this way that I saw, so this may be the best there is. That said, they need to improve the quality of the food if they want to truly be anything other than a novelty.

Je vous recommande ce dîner avec musique sixties en prime. Le porridge était succulent les pancakes sont bons peut-être trop sucrés à mon goût. Le cadre est sympa il se trouve au pied du musée de l’aviation de Port Clinton.
