We have come here several times for special occasions and have been impressed each time. Beautiful, intimate atmosphere, friendly employees, and sophisticated food. The wasabi calamari appetizer is excellent! I recommend the seafood fra diavolo entrée. The apple crisp for dessert is out of this world!

Brought the whole family, including children. Waitress was more than accommodating for a picky youngster. Ravioli and steak sandwiches are our go-to. Soups will not disappoint. The fried ice cream has been on point for YEARS.

Very good, gluten free options and they whipped up a vegan gluten free offering for me. Nice job. A wonderful favorite right in downtown«Port»(Jefferson)

Such a romantic restaurant with the absolute best pasta! My fiancé and I always get the 6 cheese tortelloni with cremini mushrooms and lobster in a Chardonnay cream sauce! We’ve tried many other items that are also so delicious, but this dish is our favorite. The bread is incredible and different than any other restaurant that I’ve been too. Such quality food and friendly staff, I always look forward to going to this restaurant.

Favorite local restaurant. The table bread is delicious. Caesar with chicken is delicious. Angel hair with chicken is delicious. ala vodka is delicious. The sesame crusted fried calamari and the«ponzu» sauce is beyond delicious. Then there’s the gelatos and the crème brûlée… even the desserts are super, and I never order dessert in a restaurant. Edit: 1÷30÷16 — Lost a star because the last few times I’ve been here the rigatoni and angel hair have been overcooked. Come on, the place is called«Pasta Pasta», someone shouldn’t have to tell the chef to cook the pasta al dente. but apparently someone should.

This place is fantastic! My friend and I came in pretty much when they opened but everyone was very friendly anyway. The waitress was wonderful. She was attentive but not overbearing. My friend had the 3-course meal and I went with a sandwich. She ordered the wasabi calamari as a starter. I generally don’t like calamari but this was a wonderful surprise. The wasabi goes great with the brown sauce and seasoning on the calamari. The bread they give you automatically is ridiculously good. We tried guessing what’s in it! I had the grilled chicken bruschetta sandwich with a side salad. What’s great about it is that the chicken is served on one slice of Italian bread so you’re not just eating MOSTLY bread. The chicken was juicy, the plum tomato compote was PERFECT on top of the chicken. For dessert we shared a brownie blackbery(or was it raspberry?) ice cream with whip cream. Neither of us expected it to go so friggin’ well together. The brownie wasn’t overwhelming or too thick to swallow. It was aaaaamazing. They don’t have a specific dessert menu so I take that it varies from visit to visit. Overall I absolutely loved everything about the restaurant. Insanely polite and attentive staff, great food and a relaxing ambiance. I’m definitely dragging other friends here to enjoy!

There are certain friends that you see only a few times a year even though you try to see them more often. Meeting at Pasta Pasta will be a good experience for doing so. You wont be rushed to eat and pack up and also, it is sufficiently loud in there that you wont mind having a conversation with laughter. Located right in the heart of Port Jeff, its easily accessible with either street parking or there is a large parking lot just behind– kudos to the town for suspending the muni-meters for the holiday season. Once inside, you can enjoy the warm atmosphere and dim lighting– several at our table used their iphones to light the menu for reading. Either that or we are all just getting old. While all the rage is trying new specialty cocktails these days, Pasta Pasta serves only beer and wine. Thats fine, I guess, but the mad Russian was craving some exotic ginger infused vodka something-or-other and I wish they had one for her. Beer and wine it was. The food was good and we ordered enough appetizers to share that could well feed a smaller sized army and our waitress, Jennifer, made sure to space them out at intervals so as not to overstuff the table. Standouts were the bacon wrapped shrimp and the scallops. Out of the six of us, we ordered a wide range of food from the menu– enough to know that they prepare everything well. From duck to lamb to pasta to the very popular pear salad, all was prepared well and served hot and together. Service was good, too. The staff came over to help our waitress get everything out together or to come clean out the dishes. They never disrupted our lively conversation and seemed to be an accent to our meal. When they come and you barely notice they are there and still manage to keep water and wine glasses full, it is definitely a super plus. Definitely a good spot to come and enjoy a nice night out without worry over food or service. Well done!

Pasta Pasta is a nice warm friendly eatery with great food and fine service. I’ve been here twice and enjoyed each experience. This time I had the Cavatelli with eggplant, spinach and sausage. It was flavorful and had a nice texture. This is a particularly good place to go on a first date. The ambiance will serve as a good opener and will pave the way for having something more to eat later on.

Charming Italian restaurant in the quaint town of Port Jefferson. The atmosphere is cozy and the music is soft so conversation is easy. I had whole wheat pasta with artichokes, tomatoes, and broccoli with a lemony tasting sauce.(This was the only vegetarian option on the menu that I was able to request vegan). The flavor was very mild and mostly on the vegetables. The pasta was very plain tasting. For the price, it was O.K. They didn’t have any vegan bread(Italian bread is traditionally vegan – made without eggs so that really annoyed me). The restaurant loses stars for not having many options that can be made vegan. Please add vegan options and vegan bread.

Fantastic. Having Café Joelle be one of my favorite places to go, and being that these two restaurants are owned by the same people, our expectations preceded us but, did not hurt us. Service started out great, upon walking into the quaint and classy restaurant; we were greeted and whisked away to indulge in our surroundings. A real romantic spot with real good food. Certainly not just a pasta place, the Fillet Minion was excellent and paired to perfection with the crispy gnocchi and prosciutto. Topped off with my favorite of all time, Marsala wine, this dish was superb! The aroma that came out of this steak, when I sliced into it for the first time, was like being released into heaven through its’ golden gates. I ran on clouds last night at Pasta Pasta, and so should you. Our wine and app added, the dinner ran us up(a party of two) around 80 bucks, plus tip, totaling $ 100 even; roughly $ 50.00 a head but I expected that. The only drawback of the entire night, was when the quality of service seemed to dwindle, once the crowds rolled in, and the regulars rolled out. Overall a good time. Enjoy. Don’t expect this place to change much though– hasn’t in years.

So tonight I got off of my ferry from Bridgeport and met my parents in Port Jeff, my grandfather just died and we came here to grab a bite to eat after my long day of traveling. The hostess sat us,(the restaurant was completely empty) and tried to tell me that they have a dress code.(No tank tops). Me and my family have been coming to this restaurant for YEARS and have spent thousands of dollars here, and I have worn a tank top for many of those meals without anyone saying a word. I’m extremely offended, especially because the restaurant was empty, so essentially the waitress judged me for my appearance and discounted us before we even ordered our meal. It’s pretty laughable because the waitresses wear cheap hanes tee shirts with crappy screenprint on the left breast, so to judge a designer tank top is pathetic. After we sat down, it took 15 minutes for our drinks(other tables received their drinks earlier) and the service was very passive.(I work as a server in one of the busiest Italian restaurants in Boston, so there was no excuse for our poor service, there were 7 tables in the whole restaurant with at least 4 servers.) We tipped the server 20% solely based on my principle of never not tipping a fellow server, but she deserved nothing. The food was good, but the disrespect was appalling, especially on a slow night where every table counts. DONTCOMEHERE, there are plenty of Italian restaurants on this island that compare, there’s nothing groundbreaking happening on this menu.

Better than it’s name would imply. I liked that the manager(owner?) was all around during the evening. He was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to see us. The dining rooms are quaint and slightly cramped — but not uncomfortable. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We started with two unusual salads. Green bean — beet and strawberry — cashew. Both were good although I think the dressings, especially the white balsamic, vanilla vinaigrette, could be improved. For mains I had the seafood fra diavolo over angel hair pasta and my wife had the salmon over mixed vegetables. Both were large portions and enjoyable. Average prices… My one disappointment was with the famous bread loaf — it’s just not what it’s made out to be. But, try it for yourself. Maybe my bread taste buds are getting too picky.

My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary dinner, we made a reservation for 6:00, arrived at 5:55 and I was seated immediately on a very busy Saturday night. I personally really liked the location and the interior of the place. For our date it was very cozy and cute and I thought private and not really squished at all if you sit like a normal person and not lounging out. As for the food, before we even got it we received their bread which is to die for stuffed with some type of cheese and flavors, but WARNING don’t eat too much or you won’t finish your dinner, the portions are huge! For the appetizer we had gotten the wasabi calamari since everyone recommended it and it was 100% delicious and that is coming from my boyfriend too who isn’t a huge seafood eater. For the entrée, I couldn’t decide on what to get because everything looked so good, but I ended up getting the«baked chicken breast» which was a huge chicken cutlet covered with mozz. and ricotta on top of a huge portion linguini, so good. My boyfriend got the rigatoni ala vodka, he loved it. I had a taste and I thought it was alright. It was nothing to rave about for me because coming from a big Italian family I’m very picky when it comes to sauce and that is the only thing I can say was wrong with either one of our dishes. We didn’t end up getting dessert because we were so stuffed, I need to go back specifically to try the peanut butter stuffed cookie brownie! Overall, the staff was very friendly and efficient and never did I have to track someone down to get something. I would definitely go again and not just for a special occasion!

We went there for my daughters Birthday. Made a reservation and table was ready when we arrived. We had the fried mozzarella with basil and proscutto which was outrageous. I will have that every time i go in the future. We also had the the mozzarella buffalo which was great. I had the ravioli parmigana and asked if they could add meat sauce which they did. All i can say is Wow, fantasic. We also had the scallops with risotto as a main course which my daughter said was great. This was a great meal. We will be back soon.

Oh the food is amazing! I love how small and homey this place feels on the inside. I’ve heard their food is really tasty but I was a little skeptical at first. After looking through the menu several times I finally decided on the penne. The penne with shrimp and artichoke hearts was simply delicious… and the portion size! I think I ate the left overs, twice. Sometimes I find myself craving for their sauce. Btw its great hangover food.

The food is exceptional and I’m a die-hard fan of the bread. It’s small, cramped, dimly lit and often crowded, but somehow that adds to the charm. The wait staff are attentive, polite and have a great understanding of the menu and ingredients used to prepare dishes. Bring your appetite. Don’t be afraid to order something«different». I love the black ravioli stuffed with lobster. The sauces are tasty, not too heavy or greasy. The pasta is great, as it should be from a restaurant that has chosen to use it twice in its moniker. You can get decent pasta at a lot of places, but Pasta Pasta elevates the dining experience to something that is memorable.

This restaurant is located in Port Jefferson, on a side street, barely visible is the vertical Pasta Pasta sign. I have been here numerous times, for dinners, Christmas Parties and even dates. The interior is shabby chic in décor. The food is just marvelous. However, having been married to two Italians, the stigma still remains that Italian food is best at home, and no restaurant compares. That being said, I am not Italian, and enjoying the Penne ala Vodka, and Chicken Alfredo, as well as many other dishes that someone else cooks. My meals have been delicious and my children cleared their plates. I have fond memories from dining in this restaurant and do highly recommend it.
