I ordered a simple California roll, and their complex godzilla roll. Cons: over vinegard rice, a normal disqualification for sushi, tastes almost like mayonnaise. Rolls are way oversized, impossible to eat in one bite. Pros: because the rice is so sticky it doesn’t fall apart of you eat it with your hands like an onigiri(it’s ok to eat sushi with your fingers). Vinegar is good for you right? Good filings, eel was done very nicely.

I ordered their Mongolian chicken to-go and it was the best I have ever had. I will definitely go there again for more. I tried their chicken teriyaki and it has the char broiled flavor to it that I’m not a fan of, but my husband loved it. The inside was very clean and welcoming.

Overpriced for teriyaki for sure(go to the place in front of Fred Meyers for great Teri prices nice!)! I don’t know why this place gets so many great reviews for sushi, is it good, yes, but I guess until you’ve had better you just don’t know. It is middle of the road, for PO it is the better in the area. Their 2nd restaurant is in Gig Harbor under a different name is faaaaar better! If Niki is waiting service is great! They will not just sell their broth for soups, you have to order the full meal deal. I do love their Tempura Udon. For Port Orchard, its good, but over priced.

Whenever someone asks me where the best sushi place is, my answer is always MANA. Food is always consistent and always so delicious! I’ve never ordered something and not like it. Owner is awesome and so is the staff. I’m so glad they are local!

What is five stars… it is what it should be and a little bit more. That is mana sushi. Quality sushi? Yes. Is it high class five star Seattle sushi? No. Is it quality and above par for a small town sushi? Yes. You want Mongolian beef in Kitsap? Go no further:) Oh and egg drop and Miso soup… yes. At least a monthly craving satisfied.

I love Mana! The food is consistent, served in a timely manner and I’ve never had really bad service. I’ve eaten here 10+ times and that doesn’t include take out. The fish in the sushi always seems fresh and the rolls are always tasty. My one real critique would be that, occasionally, the rolls are not rolled tight enough. This can be a problem, especially with the larger sized rolls that can be a challenge to stuff into your mouth. This isn’t a deal breaker for me as the loose rolls don’t happen often. Their teriyaki is the best in Port Orchard, and I’ve had them all. I find their menu to be a good selection without feeling overwhelmed. I’ll continue to be a loyal patron of Mana.

I had an Asian green salad with dressing with my meal. After eating half of it I noticed RAW chicken meat in the salad!(Fortunately, I have not been sickened.) The manager did not come to apologize, but I did not have to pay. Sushi is raw fish, NOTRAWCHICKEN!

This is our favorite place in Port Orchard! The personalized customer service is outstanding. Everyone always receives a warm welcome upon entering the establishment. Chris does an excellent job of preparing wonderful rolls and sushi assortments, very accommodating with picky eaters too. The teriyaki and hot food is great & we love their house creamy ginger dressing.

I treat myself to teriyaki chicken occasionally(once or twice a month) and don’t remember the last time I was this disappointed. It’s not that the food or service was bad, it was just underwhelming and way overpriced. The chicken was mediocre, the fried rice was subpar, and the portions were small. Lunch special prices here are closer to dinner prices at similar restaurants. I won’t be eating here again.

Sushi is amazing here. General tszo chicken is also really good. I love the cheese wontons. I’m a regular.

I was craving sushi, so I decided to try the sushi here and it definitely left me disappointed. We ordered a baked scallop roll and the fish lover’s roll, both in which included crab in the description. We ordered our food to-go and didn’t think to check it out before we left, but we got home and found out that our rolls were filled with imitation crab. Saddened by this, I only ate a quarter of my roll because I find imitation crab overly-sweet, strangely spongy, and lacking any real similarity to real crab whatsoever. The description was quite misleading and I do hope that they consider changing the description of their menu items from crab to imitation crab if they continue to serve fake crab in their rolls. I don’t plan on ordering sushi from Mana again. This review is strictly a review for their sushi. I actually like their bento boxes.

Service was a little slow. Rolls were ok and not compacted enough for someone to pick-up with chopsticks. We had the spider roll, Sedgwick roll, and the baked scallop roll. We liked the spider the best, but still was not the best roll I’ve ever had. Might give it another try, but for some teriyaki.

Best Sushi in Port Orchard or Kitsap area. Try it out, I love the food. Service can be improved. Sometime our waitress comes by once and forget about us. That was the only complaint I have.

If what other reviewers are saying is true and this is the best sushi Port Orchard has to offer, then I feel a bit sorry for them. I ordered the Red Ice Ball Roll(spicy tuna, cucumber and red snapper) and found it edible but nothing great and definitely nothing to rave about. I also ordered scallop nigiri which was not the freshest I have had. My bf got teriyaki chicken which he said was very good but he did not like their Kung Pao chicken.(the servings on his plate were meager as well) The service was good, the gals were attentive and friendly. All in all, we will likely choose something else when in the area as we just were not overly impressed especially considering the dinner prices.

Best in Port Orchard for sushi; China West better for Chinese, and Kims better for teriyaki. Went with family for dinner. Spider roll ok, crab Rangoon very small, cashew chicken, chx yakisoba, broccoli chx all ok, a 6. I have only ever had their sushi & teriyaki chx, so I tried another of my favorites, Mongolian Beef. It’s not one of my favorites at mana. Bland, not spicy as requested, beef tough. Rated a 2, China West’s MB rated a 10. I’ll stick with Teri from now on

The sushi was fresh and plentiful. We ended up ordering too much. The miso soup is really good. Ask for seared salmon sushi since its not on the menu.

This is the best place in Kitsap county to get Japanese/Chinese food. Bento Box: Yes and it’s great Sushi: Yes and it too is great I’m picky when it come to Japanese food having eaten food in Japan. This is about as close as you can get. The place is clean, food is great, and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. My Father-in-law recently ordered fried squid, something I normally wouldn’t order. I tried it and loved it. You could tell that it was fresh and perfectly cooked. Not one rubbery bite.

If you are in Port Orchard, this is where to get your sushi. Is it perfect? No. Is it pleasant and satisfying? Yes. Reason why you should visit? The sushi. Fresh, clean, and creative. That is all you need to know. If you have been looking for a sushi place that hits the mark in this area, Mana is your best bet. For those weirdos who aren’t into raw fish, there are plenty of other choices. I have heard some people say that this is THE teriyaki place to go to. I have had their teriyaki salmon. And all I will say is this: I may or may not have ordered the same thing for take-out the very next night. My husband is a fan of their noodle bowls. The atmosphere is relaxed and kid-friendly. You could technically nestle into a booth later in the evening and call it a casual date. If you are doing anything that involves a date of special significance or candles at any point of the evening, Mana is likely not your place to go — it is frequently busy with a lot of local families with kids bustling around and take-outs swinging through the doors. The service is kind and attentive — you will likely be checked on by half the staff while you are there! The downsides are thus: They play Christian radio, which during advertisements, can be distracting. And even though their miso soup is really tasty(I mean, I order just that alone sometimes!)…I am vaguely suspicious that if you order late in the evening, sometimes the miso soup gets hot water and salt thrown in to make it last longer. Point being — if you just wanna grab some fresh, clean sushi, Mana is a solid and interesting choice. But they do really well on their non-sushi items too. Love sushi? Great. Got kids — no problem. Non-sushi folk? Still good! Love Christian radio and sushi — golden!

I really enjoyed our trip to Mana this evening. We had originally planned on going to another local sushi place, but a friend suggested Mana on a whim and said she thought it was better… She stated that she thought they had more selection and better service. After having dinner there, I have to say I believe she is right. The atmosphere here is really nice. It is a little bit noisy, and it was a Friday night so they were bustling and hopping… Lots of takeout orders that they were prepping also. Despite being busy, they were extremely attentive to our table. Not only did our server stop by a couple of times, but other folks stopped by to check on us and make sure everything was okay. They refilled my hot tea repeatedly… They didn’t even wait until it was empty(though they did ask to make sure I wanted more first). That’s a big win for me. Our food was delicious. I ordered the chefs choice nigiri plate with a spicy tuna roll… I also ordered the miso soup. The only thing I didn’t particularly enjoy was the salad… And there was really nothing wrong with the salad, it just wasn’t my speed. All of the fish was tender and delicious… It was beautiful he pleaded and quickly presented. At the end of the evening, our bill reason reasonable and we were very pleased. I will most definitely be back. Thank you!
