I’ve been doing business with this company for the past 3 years. Minh was great and very knowledgeable, honest if you need something technical that you don’t understand yourself go and get kindly support from Minh he sweet natured and kind.

I took my Nexus 5 for a repair to fix the digitizer (touch screen), and was told that they’d need to also replace my outer screen to facilitate the repair. I agreed. But a whopping two weeks after the repair was completed, the new screen began to show cracks. That was strange to me because I rarely drop my phone and had no cracks on my previous screen.
A few days after the cracks appeared, though, my digitizer broke again! I’m not sure if my replacement screen/​digitizer were poorly sourced, installed, or if I’m suddenly predisposed to accidentally destroying my phone, but the quick failure of the repair has left me skeptical of the work here.

This place is amazing. I took my samsung galaxy s3 here when it stopped charging. At first, I was getting a discount on fixing the charging port because it wouldnt be repaired until the next day because they had a lot of work before mine. When that didnt fix my phone, they re-​soldered the power button on my phone. That didnt work either. Realizing that my phone was too far gone to fix, they said they wouldnt charge me for the repairs. So they spent 3 days on my phone and wouldnt charge me. I was able to return my phone for a new one. I will definitely be taking my electronics for repair here in the future.

My Samsung Galaxy S4 stopped charging one day. I found Airlink via Unilocal and figured I’d give them a try. Minh was extremely kind and helpful and offered me a very good deal to fix my phone. It’s easy to tell how much he cares about his customers. He is very talented and I will definitely be going back if I ever encounter any other problems with my phone

Dug up a lost/​old Unilocal account to post my only/​first review: I replaced my LG G3’s cracked screen on my own but I couldn’t get it to turn back on after, and I couldn’t figure out why.
Unfortunately, neither could Minh, but he spent several hours of his time exploring potential fixes– trying new components, a new screen, everything– and didn’t charge me a dime when he eventually threw in the towel. I fully expected to be charged even some nominal fee for essentially wasting a big chunk of his day.
I will definitely be returning for future repairs when/​if needed.

Well? I’ve been doing business with this company for the past six or seven years and they’ve always taken care of my phone-​related needs. They’re efficient, affordable and technically adept. You can’t go wrong doing business with these people.
The reason that I’m giving five stars has less to do with the technical/​commerce part of doing business, though. It has to do with HEART and character. Minh ((the omnipresent person behind the counter. The owner? I hope?)) is just an amazing jewel of a human being. He’s sweet natured and kind and he treats me like an old friend. I feel like I owe it to myself ((and to the world around me, really)) to support local businesses that I value and respect. Minh makes that SO EASY to do.
Anyway, if you’re looking for an inexpensive replacement for your telephone, if you need something repaired and replaced or altered on your phone. If you need to add another line to your existing account or if you need to accomplish something technical that you don’t understand yourself: Go and support this business.

We had an unfortunate accident on Splash Mountain in Disneyland in August. My daughters Galaxy S4 got soaked and died. We tried reviving it with the bag of rice trick to no avail. When we got back in town I searched for a place to see if we could have it repaired because all Verizon wanted to do was sell us another phone and jack up our phone bill.
Airlink had great reviews here so we deceided to give them a try. Minh was great to us! They were able to get the phone working again, but unfortunately they just couldn’t get the microphone repaired. The internals were too badly damaged I guess. So what they did was sell us a refurbished S4, ported the number over to the new phone, and charged us way less money for it all than expected!
Major kudos to Minh and his tech (I forgot her name dang it). They treated us great, kept in contact with us the whole time, and explained everything they were doing and why. Overall it was just a great experience, and while I hope I don’t have to have another phone repaired soon, I wouldn’t hesitate to deal with them again. In fact, as I found out, it would be way cheaper for me to just buy a used phone from Minh than to go through Verizon for an upgrade to a new phone. When I’m ready, I fully intend to do this, and Minh will get my business!

Minh was great and friendly to work with. My Lumina 1020 fell off my bicycle and skidded 40 feet down the road. I thought it would need just glass replacement. Last time Gadget Fix did if for $ 200, but for some reason the back lighting didn’t align and the touch screen never worked as well after. Anyhow, Minh recommended replacing glass, touch screen, and backlighting for $ 150. Not only did it cost less, but more was replaced and I got a loaner while he waited for parts to arrive. Phone works as new. Great job! Minh is the only guy there, so he works on your phone, not some dude you’ll never see who’s learning on your phone.

They have replaced charger ports for me twice now (guess I am hard on them), once at Christmas – a crazy busy time for them. They were very courteous and efficient. Today I cracked my screen, and I am taking it straight to them. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Portland, these people are great!

I shattered my iPhone screen on the driveway (just my luck) and didn’t want to have to pay so much for a replacement, so I brought it in to Airlink for repair. Not only did they change the glass screen, they also put in a new LCD, charged less than they said it would cost, and the were able to finish much sooner than I asked. On top of that it’s also comes with a warranty. Now that I’ve had my screen replaced I’m off to get the Zag

The owner was really helpful scheduling the work so that I wasn’t without my primary phone for more than 1 hour. His cost was the best in town.
On the downside, the repair /​work wasn’t 100% perfect but the phone worked again. I intend to go back and have him fix. His work comes with a 90 day guarantee, and my feel of the man, he will honor it. If he doesn’t, I’ll be back with another review!

This place is great. I was sure that I had «bricked» my phone so I took it here as a last resort. Within an hour Minh had called to tell me it was just a broken power button, and it cost $ 20 less to fix than he originally quoted. Fast, friendly, and effective!

Minh’s a straight shooter and fun to talk to. I came in because I broke my phone (obv). I saw reviews below by people I really trust (what up Gloria and momo!) And took the plunge. Unfortunately Minh wasn’t able to fix my phone, but he DID show me a photo of the innards of my phone and everything I messed up. He was prompt, didn’t charge me for his work and told me the dealio straight up. And again, totally fun to talk to. Feels like a nice community store which is the kind of thing I can get behind — especially when tragedy strikes and you’ve broken your link to the world, your business and internet lolcats on the go.

MOST RELIABLE
I was referred to Minh by an AT&T manager who uses Minh for all his cell phone repairs. In my case it was cracked glass to a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. At first Minh warned me that it’s surprisingly expensive. After penciling out the numbers, it was apparent that I would have to utilize Minh’s service to replace the glass which is all part of the phone’s LCD.
On the Friday before, I showed him the phone and paid 50% of the cost up front. The next Monday, Minh calls me to tell me that the part had been ordered and it would take three to five days for delivery. This past Friday I get a call from Minh that the part had arrived but unfortunately I was unable to bring the phone in that day. Saturday first thing I bring the phone to Minh at 10AM and by 12:15PM he has the phone ready for pick up.
Five stars for the customer service and reliability. I have no problem recommending Minh’s Airlink for troubled and damaged cell phones.
