MUCH better than the time at the DMV I was waiting for during my visit here. They had lots of cool stuff that I went home with. Although, the candle with battery power did not work when I got home. No one returns anything here. It costs more in fuel to get there and back than the $ 1 refund. LOL

The Dollar Tree Store in the Hollywood District as usual allows you to save money on the most common items. It is near the Hollywood Transit Center and has lots of parking. There are lots of aisles filled with lots of the most lowbrow food that big corn has let out of the lab from Frankenstein’s head. Some of the products might not hold well and some things might need more than a dollar investment. But here you can get all kinds of bathroom products and even batteries. Everything is only a dollar and that works for certain items. A trick here is to look for items that are no different then if you buy it elsewhere, except for the obvious low cost. This does cater to a low-income crowd but there’s nothing like saving some money. I once got an excellent iPod nano speaker that was very loud from a 99 cents store. This is a great place to roam around looking for those most effective bargains.

How can you not love only paying a dollar or less? That price reflects the power of the American economy! Mmurica! The staffing schedule is as lean as the prices. On a few occasions another patron and I wandered the aisles looking for someone so we could pay. For those of you driving by on Sandy you should know they have their own parking lot in the back.

Everyone accepts everything you buy there are cheap and nothing over $ 1. But the Customer Service don’t have to be cheap, right? Everyone still deserves a good customer service, NOMATTER what you’re selling! They don’t have bathrooms. When I go there, it always seems like I needed to use their bathroom. But they always tell you: «they’re broken». They’re broken last year, they’re broken the year before, they’re still broken again this year! Sure, if you don’t want the public use the bathroom, or plugging up the bathroom, just say: «no public restrooms» or something, but don’t lie and tell me they’re broken! They also give you a hard time, when it comes to exchanges or returns. I’ve been shopping Five & Dime stores most of my life, but they have the worst when it comes to CS. I get better treatment shopping @ Thrift Stores!
