Awesome food and great atmosphere!

MMM some of the most tender steaks I’ve ever had, they were done to perfection! Also, love the dinner rolls and the dinner salads. Some of the most loaded salad’s I’ve ever seen, it’s not just lettuce and dressing, it came with carrots, tomatoes, onions, dressing, radish, cucumbers, you can request croutons, too.
Great service, I was served by Rachelle when I went.

This restaurant is so awesome! The people who work here are so nice and helpful. The food was really great too. The pot roast was so tender and the potato was perfect! The taco soup is delicious! The drinks are on point! You have got to try the Creek Side Killer lol I had 2 ;)

I used to love coming here, I have watched there food steadily decline. Their items that are cheaper taste better for the value. I do not recommend getting anything over the 13 dollar range you will be disappointed. Great service and nice. But only 3 stars due to the quality of food vs the cost.

Hands down… THE BEST PLACE TO EAT IN THE STATE OF OREGON!!! I travel the whole state and have been many places but this place is always in the #1 spot. The staff is great, the atmosphere is fancy, the food is to die for, and the pricing is excellent for everything. Francis Xavier’s is AWESOME!

They have the best prime rib. Ordered it medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. Hubby had the steak and lobster. The lobster is über delicious too. Their prices are very reasonable. Will come back here for sure.

ENJOYED MY VISIT
After reading all the reviews, which seemed rather hot or cold, I decided to go try FX myself. I ordered a salmon omelette, pancakes and a side of Polish sausage just before dinner time. Trish was my server and was super sweet. I certainly didn’t get any Denny’s vibe like some unhappy reviewers. The syrup was served in a little mini ceramic handled pitcher on it’s own mini dish. the butter was real and whipped. Even the catsup was served in a little mini bowl. the décor is nice and it was quiet. overhead music was more Rat Pack than Brat Pack, which suited me just fine. some swingin’ stuff– Dean, Frank and Sammy serenaded. So lets not mention compare FX to the «D» word.
the omelette was great although it was backstroking in hollandaise. after I uncovered it, I found it had fresh-​cut tomato and the salmon for the most part was lean and pink. I would recommend light on the sour cream (inside) and maybe do your hollandaise on the side. the pancakes were great although I must admit i was pretty damn hungry. my side order of Polish sausage wasn’t very Polish, more like a big spicy hot dog but it was good and hit the spot. service was outstanding.
for around 13 clams I got a great meal. I will post a shot of my breakfast/dinner…I’ll title it «breakfast/​dinner salmon omelette». I will certainly return for more!

This is a place I’ve been going to for a long time. My family and I always come here because it is nearby and the food is pretty decent. Xavier’s is good place to get breakfast and lunch and can always accommodate my family of 8. The owners seem nice as well as present in the restaurant and the service is good. The food is ok. I have had better but I never leave here disappointed.

I like their meatloaf with garlic red mashed potatoes (no gravy for me), fresh veggies, and plain roll. Enough to bring home and have a meatloaf sandwich on a roll. My daughter loves their glazed ham with same sides as mine. She loves their taco soup. Great food, service, and prices. Love the free chocolate cake & ice cream drizzled with caramel or chocolate & decorated with whipped cream (birthdays). We usually share this after a hearty meal.

Great fx skillet, great server, and surprisingly good decaf, but very disappointing German pancake. We made sure to order it after our eggs so it would be hot but it was cold anyway and didn’t automatically come with lemon, which was weird. Didn’t matter anyway as it was tasteless, with no fluff at all. I’ll be back though because they have breakfast all day!

Don’t let the outside fool you. The food is super hearty diner food. They have the breakfast menu all day and man oh man, please get the country fried chicken! It is absolutely amazing. The service was great as well. Even if it weren’t for my hotel being right next door, I would come back here just for this dish.

The food is average at best. When you purchase the steak dinner the only thing you receive is the steak and three mushrooms sitting on top of it. You must pay extra for vegetables or baked potato. The total for my meal was $ 15 and the steak was previously frozen so it was dry and Luke warm. Very disappointed for such high hopes. Oh and the carpet needs to be cleaned badly it’s like 20 years old and who knows how much has been spilled on it and smashed into the bottom from everybody’s shoes.

The service at this restaurant is excellent!!! We went there for breakfast 2 days in a row the food was very good but I love this place for the impeccable service!!!

My goddaughter graduated college so we needed a place to have a celebratory lunch. At the last minute. For 20 people. They were able to accommodate us. When we arrived, the room was ready and waiting for us. The food was good and the service was great. The next time we’re in Portland we will definitely be coming back.

Steak and lobster, lobster steak, clam chowder, waffles with fresh strawberries, chocolate peanut butter pudding pie and lemon cake. Delicious.

Been going here off and on over the years. Either for lunch with the gang or heading out here for breakfast with the family. It is a hotel restaurant bit stands on its on. Breakfasts are always good sized and taste great. They serve breakfast all day which is always a plus. My favorite food has to be the Chicken Taco soup and the Monte Cristo. The Ruben and French Dip are really good too. Their sandwiches are always a great bargain giving you good quality taste at a great price. Service is always great, never had a bad experience at all. I have yet to try their dinner menu just because it is on the opposite side of town from home but I am sure I will try it at some point.

Ordered halibut & baked potato, Ready arrived in 5 min? B.S. Wasted $ 18.00. Baked potato looks like one or 2 day olds and only two fat halibut…

My husband and I have dinner last night, he had beef sirloin and I got Pork sirloin. The pork wasn’t completely cooked. My husband got food poisoned after the dinner and almost need to go to emergency. My self got bad stomach ache.

Fairly GOOD food.
HORRIBLE service.
We waited half an hour to get drinks, another hour to get our food, which came in increments. We ordered our toast with no butter and it came with extra butter. My mom wanted her corned beef crispy, which came soggy and mushy. My eggs were under cooked. They didn’t bring our rolls until our meal was almost over. I had asked for extra napkins which I had to go get myself. My grandma’a coffee never got refilled, and we had to request ketchup and other condiments for our baked potatoes. Our waitress was a filthy mess. Her hair was disgusting and she was dirty and tacky and trashy and SLOW. All in all it was fun making fun of what an idiot our server was.

Service was great, food was so gross!
I got a salmon egg Benedict which was not a good choice when trying a new restaurant. The salmon had a terrible weird taste to it and way over cooked. My drink was way too sweet, and the hashbrowns were not cooked all the way. Overall not a great experience.
1 star for the décor, and 1 for the serivce. None for the food!
