I have a bit of a frankenstein bike I use to commute to/from work. It’s not great but it gets me where I’m going. The past month or so, it’s started to really bug me with it’s refusal to stay in gear and the god awful squealing of the brakes so I finally took it in for a tune-up. They gave it a full tune up, replaced my uncomfortable grips and added some fenders. It took a bit longer than expected but it was totally worth it. The price was great and the work was phenomenal. My bike is such a joy to ride again and I’m no longer cursing it all the way down the hill to work each morning. I totally recommend them for any work you need done.

Excellent service — quick, friendly, to the point and affordable. My go-to bike shop.

Great shop! Probably the best cyclocross selection for bikes, wheels, tires etc in the US. Where else can you get set up advice from a pro cross racer? Awesome selection of road and mtb’s too. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and the coffee shop is a great place to start or end rides. If you’re an elite racer or just a bike commuter they have you covered.

This bike shop has been in existence since 2001, owned by a former cycle cross racer. Apparently it has been flying under the radar, because I live in the Perl and spend sufficient time in the Alphabet District but have never seen it before. It must have been in an obscure location in «Alpha D.» Who knew! In February 2014, the shop moved closer to the Pearl District, corner of 15th and Raleigh. The shop is a nice size space with road bikes, cyclocross bikes, mountain bikes and some urban bikes with a nice stock of components and accessories for racer’s or commuter’s. Custom fitting is an available service too. Two mechanics were working in a nice big open space – where you can see the whole space they do their thing in. The queue time for bike maintenance is somewhere between 3 to 5 days. This means they are busy and have a repeat customer base – good to know. So eventually, I’ll swing by with my Salsa mountain bike for a tune up! I did chat up 2 mechanics to test their knowledge base – both friendly, took time to explain things to me(and they did not know I was doing a review) – I learned alot and have been riding road and mountian bike seriously for over 30 years now. I also watched them tune-it-up. Good work guys! Oh yeah, you can have Stumptown coffee or Courrier espresso organic coffee while you wait or shop at the coffee bar.
