My girlfriend’s saddle was stolen from her bike downtown. Several days later, the same saddle was for sale at the Recyclery. So, he’s either directly or indirectly supporting bike thieves. I’d stay away from the place.

I was worried about finding an honest and inexpensive shop because my dad who rides a lot has a shop near his house who charges an arm and a leg and probably does unnecessary repairs. My worries were quelled when I found the Recyclery. The owner is serious about the stated mission on their web site: saving people money on bikes and repairs. I walked the bike over to the shop and explained what I was looking for – to get my old bike fixed inexpensively so I could loan it to a friend. He diagnosed the bike and what followed next was unlike any of the other reviews for bike repair in my area. The technician was willing to fix it right there on the spot and cost under 20 dollars! The bike wasn’t even ridable before! This shop may not be able to work miracles like this for everyone but they have a small business location and their costs must be low. You’re paying for the service and not the cost of the lease of their building, as it should be. :) I hope this business prospers and continues with their good customer service. –Happy Customer
