Recently purchased cannondale supersix evo over the phone which went very smoothly with all of my questions answered. Traveled a little over 4 hours to pick up the bike (from Grants Pass to Portland), and when I arrived the team was very helpful and I had a lot of people ask if I needed help while I was waiting (to me a great sign of customer service). On top of all of this the kind short gentleman with the beard (sorry forgot your name!) threw in a couple water bottles and told me to go grab a coffee and a beverage (wife appreciated the coffee) from the in house coffee shop. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Today I put in 50 miles on the bike and it was very smooth. I plan on making some changes in regards to the crankset, but all in all the bike and the experience with Western Bikeworks was top notch. Only thing that could be better is if they were closer as my experience with the local bike shop is not the greatest. Thanks Western Bikeworks I will continue to purchase from you in the future.

Drove in from Seattle today to buy a bike, and Lee and the rest of the crew there were friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and willing to help me get set up with a new bike and gear. I received excellent help, had all my questions answered, and didn’t for a second feel descriminated against because of the fact that I am a complete novice. Bonus too that there is a beverage bar inside, and you get a discount on your gear when you purchase a bike. These guys are the real deal

Great service. I rode a few bikes and was sold pretty quickly on the right for for me. Can’t say I regret a single dollar I spent there… until I tried to go for a ride and found I that riding in the SW hills isn’t quite like my spin class. Owie!

I use the online store. I get amazing prices. I have exchanged and returned items and it is done with ease. One time, I ordered the wrong item and they assisted me by brainstorming ways to make it work. And we made it work. Long story. But these are true bike people. The people you reach on the phone know bikes and are experts. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I like doing business with real people in the USA. And people who are into what they are doing. The best customer service I have experienced in a long time. Dennis is the rock star of bike service.

This is a great bike store with a huge selection and very good prices. Seth the Service Mgr and his crew are super helpful and always take care of my needs quickly and with a smile. they’ve done work on two Stromer Ebikes for me, always right the first time. He also went to bat for me when the mfgr claimed a broken part was my fault, and he got them to cover the replacement. Always plenty of good bike gear on sale and really large selection.

I had no idea this joint had such a huge selection of affordable, sort of «entry level» bikes. Christina listened to all my concerns and wants for a new bike, and helped me find EXACTLY what I was looking for. I couldn’t be more thrilled with my bike and the accessories I got at a discount, since they were purchased same day. That’s a good deal right there. Will gladly keep shopping here!

I needed a new tire and was on my morning commute. Western Bikeworks got me up and running quickly and for a very reasonable price. The service was excellent, the selection was great — I knew exactly what I wanted and they had it — and like I said, a very reasonable price. 5 stars.

Every time I want to check out a bike-​related product I head to WBW. I love the vibe in the shop — super friendly and helpful. I ride as a commuter (not as a racer), and always feel welcome there. I’d been eyeing a new Showers Pass jacket to upgrade my rain gear and today went in and got a super awesome deal (15% off) on one because I’d already purchased items from the shop. Rad!

I took my bike in today to get the wheels trued and the service was great.

I’m extremely grateful I found this place online (I live in CA), not only they have amazing offers that beat any other store (even online) but also their customer service is top notch. I bought a few things from them, met the minimum to get free shipping and received everything in a couple days. I had a tiny problem with one of the items and I contacted their customer service that took care of my issue, no questions asked; I didn’t even have to contact them twice, except to thank them for their superb service! From now on, they’ll be my go-​to place for everything cycling!

I continue to fund this store’s existence. Laura at the Tigard store took my order for a frame over the phone. She handled the call very well; knew what I was talking about and the price was amazing!

These guys are the best! VERY friendly staff. They’re all extremely knowledgable and experienced, but still approachable. They also have a small café with coffee and beers on tap. So there’s that.
This shop carries way more bikes than most shops I’ve been to so far in Portland. They also have a huge selection of clothing, shoes, helmets — everything. After going to many bikes shops around Portland, I ended up buying a road bike here. So far, I’m very pleased with the staff, the shop, and my bike!

New to the biking world and I don’t know if I’d go anywhere else for bike questions after my experience at Western Bikes!
I was in search of a rear basket for the top of my bike rack. When I got there, they were SO kind to me, answering my questions and just being nice. They were able to find me the right basket, made sure it fit securely, fix my bike rack, unscrew the water bottle holder all with a smile on their face.
I would definitely recommend Western Bikeworks to people!

While I know nothing about bikes (I am the old lady that just knows where her key goes in the car), these guys make me feel OK about it. I bought my bike from this place three years ago, and they are still delivering amazing service when I get a flat or need a tune-​up. They have an amazing assortment of bikes that always catch my eye and even a great coffee shop to grab a drink or a vegan sandwich while you wait. While this place isn’t the closest to my house, I will venture here beyond other bike shops because I know I am in great hands. Their service guys are the best and most efficient I have found in Portland. I would definitely buy my next bike here again.

I don’t know if it’s just Portland or what, but I’ll readily admit that I’m kind of a 5-​star whore. I probably give them out too easily, but I would give Western 10 stars if possible. Their customer service is excellent. I came here looking for a helmet– I was approached by at least four different guys who offered to help in a non-​pushy way.
I forgot the name of the one who ended up helping me (might have been Brian). He did a great job explaining the differences in various helmets, computers, seats, etc. for me, and then proceeded to offer to teach me how to change a flat. Extremely helpful. I’ve been shopping for bike accessories for a little while and this shop is one of the best I’ve been to.
THEY HAVE A COFFEE/​KOMBUCHA/​TEA/​SMOOTHIE/​FOOD BAR. It’s awesome. I had the «green smoothie» which was fantastic – it had mango, avocado, spinach and some almond milk. Props to the girl at the bar – she was really sweet.

Big awesome selection of bikes on the showroom floor. Bikes for city, commuting, race, road, mountain, super fat tires and kids. For gear-​heads there’s lots of components, parts and accessories and apparel for those who want to look like a rider. Mountain bikes 29er’s /​27.5er’s too – cool Intense frames!
Western Bikeworks tuned my Salsa 29er last summer and it still shifts great as I ride trails all over the western USA. They overhauled the front fork which bunny hops ripping knobby-​battered singletracks.
Good store, nice clean layout, weel organized with knowledgeable and friendly mechanics and staff. Kudos Western Bikeworks! There is also a coffee and espresso spot with plenty of seating and Wi-​Fi to hang out and chat up the fellow gear heads, novice riders and bike enthusiast’s that venture into the store.
