I bought my last two rifles at Sportsman’s. I have had nothing but praise for the store. My last rifle I purchased was a varmint AR 15. Great rifle, also bought a scope and mounts. Better prices than Cabelas too.

Went in to buy my husband a gun as a gift. Everyone behind the counter was very helpful and nice.

Went in there for the third time and this time to my luck six employees at the gun counter and three customers. Went there to buy my daughter he first 22. I will never spend a dime here, some of the most rude condescending assholes work the gun counter. I am a disabled veteran and have a blue Mohawk pure and simple they looked at my hair and literally turned around and left. I will gladly pay even $ 100 more somewhere else that doesn’t have assholes working the counter.

Exceptional customer service and product knowledge from Martin and Anthony in the fishing department. Give those two a raise!

This is the Guitar Center of sporting goods — a great selection overseen by people who don’t know and don’t care. I have to echo all of the one-​star sentiments here. Bought my first fishing license in 30 years a week ago — paid $ 62 for an annual, so they said. Ended up paying full price for six months.
Went in last night to purchase a wicker creel I’d seen there a couple of days ago — couldn’t find it. Asked a staffer (dressed like Daniel Boone) who was stocking the fishing department if they had any others in stock. He didn’t know what a creel was, suggested I come back tomorrow and ask someone else.
The only thing I find of value is the dog food they stock in the entryway.

Pricey but staff is rude, gun counter could not get help, ended up at fisherman marine and bought there. They usually have in stock what is needed, but you pay the price, if they don’t carry that specific item they belittle you why you need that.

The attendant provided me with incorrect information about fishing licenses. I really just wasted my money and time by obtaining a day permit. I was advised to get a year-​long from ODFW and so now I get to pay twice.

Wow, what a disappointment. A lot of cool gear, but a staff that could care less if you spent your money there. I left my cart and walked out after two workers who took time out from their important conversation informed me that none of the registers were open and i would have to wait in the customer service line to check out. I took one look at the pissed off people waiting in line and bailed. I will order from Amazon & drive up North to Bass Pro, SportCo, and Cabela’s for guns.

total scam! false advertising! bait and switch!!, offering para 1911 45 cal for 279.99, 2 stores told me they had 2 in stock for the sale, sold out no rainchecks, they should be reported to ore atty general!

Service is uncaring — inventory is spotty — if you can’t get inventory then at least get off your butt and help customers instead of adopting «oh well» attitude.

Trying to look at new bows. Waited for what is now 38min for someone to let us look at the bows. Still standing at counter waiting. We have been told they will help us soon. I see the same gentleman in the back that said he would help us playing grab @$$ with another employee. Starting to wonder what is going on. Will not be back after this visit.

I’m fairly well acquainted with most firearms/​reloading/​fishing/​outdoor resources in the area, and this is my first choice. We live in interesting times, and many products are in short supply, but this location is a favorite for selection and service. I recommend it to others. Many of their products that are in high demand disappear immediately after the shelves are stocked, and that is the nature of the business at this point, but they’ve been a valued vendor for me.

I bought a firearm here after having crapy service from most of the gun stores in my area. They were friendly and very helpful in every department I shopped in. By far one of my favorite stores. They have everything!
Only thing a little annoying is there loss prevention tactics.

Great experience with Chris at the gun counter. I had been researching several models, I called they had both in stock. When I went up to the counter I explained what I was looking for. Chris was very knowledgeable and friendly with my questions and lack of experience. The cashier was also very friendly and informative, I signed up for a rewards card and plan on returning for all my shooting sports needs.

This store is one of my favorite places to browse around and next to Best Buy — one of my favorite places to blow a few dollars.
The selection here is pretty broad and top notch, the staff is pretty knowledgable and friendly. Camping, fishing, hunting, boating, clothing — you name it they pretty much have it.
I have only encountered one employee I have been indifferent about and he works in the firearms department. Tall older clean shaven, scowls allot and wears a hat all of the time. I think I have met rabid squirrels that were more friendly than him. I was in the other day and looking at some western revolvers with a very nice fellow helping me when the not so friendly guy was cleaning and wiping down some if the rifles. The phone kept ringing and ringing but did he answer? Nope, he just dirty looked the other two guys at the counter who had customers and kept cleaning. My guy took the call with a smile after politely excusing himself then came back to me without missing a beat.
Love the store, love 99.99% of the helpful and friendly employees and hope they consider moving Mr. Not So Helpful to the shoe department otherwise you cannot go wrong visiting this store for any and all of your outdoor needs.
