My husband and I were on «date night» at the mall tonight, so we ate here. As soon as we came in, we were asked what type of table we wanted(I have a movement disorder and was using a walker.) We asked for a booth, so the hostess gave us one right by the salad bar. Our waitress was very polite. The food was«yummy», to use my husband’s word. The salad bar ingredients were fresh. I even saw an employee refilling some of the bins. The only problem I had(and the reason for the missing star) was the coffee. Blech. I am a coffee freak, though. We have eaten here several times, and haven’t had any major problems. I give them a consistent 4 stars.

This Ruby Tuesday is located on the second floor of the Poughkeepsie Mall. My family and I got welcomed and seated right away by a host and a server came to our table quickly. He was very nice and he went out of his way to accommodate the kids(in-law). The food was decent for a franchised restaurant. The salad bar was nice and fresh. The downside was how disgusting the women’s bathroom was. I mean I couldn’t believe how much mess people had made and I know nobody wants to do the dirty work but workers should have cleaned it up when they used the bathroom.

Unfriendly staff, food left on table, no non-alcohol beverage on the menu and two returning dishes. All these happen before we even get a chance to order our drinks. Avoid. Horrible experience.

Typical chain restaurant in a mall. Nice salad bar. Attentive waiter. Entrees are expensive(17.00 for grilled salmon) for what you get. Steamed broccoli was so salty it was almost inedible. I tried to order healthy but the ridiculous amount of sodium defeated the purpose. Better than the food court if you’re stuck at the mall, but not a great value.

My wife and I went here the other day to have dinner before the movies. My wife ordered a mojito and the waiter came back several minutes later informing us that they did not have any mint to make one. Then she ordered a glass of chardonnay only to find out once again that they didn’t have that either. She ended up getting a cosmopolitan. They had no trouble supplying my seltzer water with lemon. For dinner she got an appetizer platter and I got the Lowcountry shrimp and grits. I ended up at sending my dish back because the grits tasted like no grits I have ever had kind of over cooked along with tough over cooked shrimp and just way too much salt. Instead I got a half a rack of ribs which were supposed to be fall off the bone tender. Needless to say these were dry, tough and overcooked as well. My wife’s bacon cheese fries that came on the appetizer platter we’re just a disgusting mess. They were very nice about replacing my dish but they did charge me for it. Most times when this has happened to me in the past they gave me something else on the house for my inconvenience. They did not do that here even though waiting for an extra dish was making us late for our movie. The food we ate there did not agree with either of us and we both felt kind of sick afterwards. I have to say the only good thing I have there was the salad bar, it was fresh although quite limited in selection. I would also like to add that while we were sitting there I saw the hostess apologizing to two other tables for improperly prepared food. If you like dry overcooked and salty food this is the place for you! Needless to say we will not return.

The wait staff is not always the most attentive. The second time we went, our waiter didn’t give us our biscuits, nor did he refill our drinks(or even ask for that matter, at all.) He didn’t even ask if everything was to our satisfaction. However, they always do a great job on their burgers and steaks, and have excellent drinks. BUT The fact is an inattentive wait staff is a turn off for me, at least ask if «everything is going well this evening» and if your customers need refills. If it is common courtesy for customers to leave a tip, then the courtesy should be reciprocated by the waiter. At least act like you give a sh*t that we’re there. Hence why he did not earn(or get) his tip. PS waiters of ruby tuesday– NEVER leave out the biscuits, that is the equivalent of not giving your customers their baskets of bread and butter(at other restaurants) or water. There is no greater blasphemy.

This Ruby Tuesdays is located in the poughkeepsie mall. We ended up just getting drinks at the bar around noon time. If you are shopping you can call the RT and make a reservation. The bar maid was really nice and attentive. I really felt like drinking patron that day. they only had the silver which is fine(im not complaining). I was surprised they carried patron. When i got the bill it said $ 60 bucks. I had no idea i had ordered that much. We got 6 shots total and they were $ 10 a shot. I didn’t think it would be $ 10 a shot. We did not get anything to eat at this location. I have eaten at other Ruby Tuesdays and they have burgers and a good salad bar for 3 – 4 dollars. They also have good appetizers and sliders. RT had different food than your TGI Fridays and chilis. Overall. The place is nice. better to eat here than to eat in the food court. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would go back to this location. I recommend this RT if you are shopping in the mall and want to get a meal or something different than the food court. PROS: — Staff was nice and attentive — Good option if you don’t want to eat in the food court CONS: — Don’t have any

If you are looking for mediocre food and service look no further as Ruby Tuesday is excellent at mediocrity. Stopped in last week to do some Christmas returns in the Galleria mall and had lunch at Ruby Tuesday. The waitress messed up my wife’s order and by the time it was served the rest of our party was finished. They did offer us dessert for the mix up which was nice, but our experience was subpar and we will not be going back.

I must say, out of all the RT’s I’ve been in, this is the best one. Our server was the best I’ve had in a long time. We(hubby, me, toddler and baby) came shopping to the Galleria a few days prior to Christmas and we were starving. The hostess seated us in the back of the restaurant bc that was the best location for our giant stroller. Our waitress came over right away and took our drinker order. Hubby and I quickly decided on our lunch — 2 Sliders for me and the Salad Bar, Soup and Salad Bar for Hubby and Chicken Fingers with Broccoli for my toddler. Unlike every other RT’s I’ve been to, our waitress brought over my favorite Cheese Biscuits when she brought our drinks(most RT’s you have to request the biscuits… then wait forever for them to arrive.) She was also on top of every other request we had — refills, extra ketchup, to-go box when we were done. I wish every server I got was as quick and efficient as this waitress was.

Our waiter«dj» was really good but the food was pretty mediocre. Our son was misbehaving so we decided to get our food to go, well my husband ordered the bourbon salmon and the portion was ridiculous, for $ 17… I expected more. It looked like a kids meal. Won’t be dining here again!

It has been a while since I’ve last had Ruby Tuesdays. We used to have one in California pretty close to home, but they have since closed down due-to bad business. I totally blame the location of it, because the food is actually pretty good! I knew exactly what I was going to order since it was always what I got back at home. Ruby Tuesdays has amazing ribs believe it or not! To think that a chain restaurant would produce such fall off the bone ribs that actually taste pretty good(unlike restaurants that are supposed to be good for ribs like *ahem* tulsa rib company in santa ana). The ribs were just as soft and delicious as I remembered them! I got them has a half rack combo with some coconut shrimp which was also pretty good. I also got to try their new appetizer of crab cake bites. but that wasnt really good. The service was way off though. We had a nice lady, but she was never there. Whatever we needed from her we’d always have to catch her in passing in order to ask her for it. I think they need to re-train their servers on what customer service should be like! Otherwise, great ribs! :D

Average food bad service. Bartender spent maybe 10 mins on the phone flirting with coworker while patrons waited for service… Stop hiring teenagers as bartenders. When asked about beer selection bartender had to look at the menu and when asked for a drink suggestion with amaretto she had no clue. I don’t ask vegetarians how to cook steak why would I want someone who can’t legally drink to make my drinks. The only answer for this confounding lack of foresight is that the managers hire young girls because they are creepy middle aged men.

I’m not one for chain restaurants and I never thought I’d have an occasion to give one 4 stars, but I’ve always liked Ruby Tuesday. And this particular Ruby Tuesday is pretty darn good. Located in the Poughkeepsie Galleria, this Ruby Tuesday is a fresh and decent alternative to the nearby food court. It’s also the only restaurant option in the mall — except for that Italian place near Macy’s, in which I never see anyone eating — so if you want decent food at a reasonable price without leaving the mall, this is your only real option. But that’s not to say that Ruby Tuesday serves hum-drum fare. It’s a big, giant step above other chain restaurants, such as Applebee’s, which is just disgusting. The sooner they go out of business the better, because there is no reason that food of such poor calibre should ever be served to anyone.(For an interesting take on the Ruby Tuesday’s-vs.-Applebee’s question, read Steve P.‘s review of the Ruby Tuesday in Kingston, N.Y. He liked RT and hated Applebee’s. He ate at the Applebee’s in Binghamton, N.Y., and I’ve also had the misfortune to eat there. Steve P., wherever you are, I feel your pain.) Anyway, my most recent visit to the Ruby Tuesday in Poughkeepsie was quite good. I’d eaten there on several other trips to the mall with my family, after we decided that a meal at Flaming Wok wasn’t going to cut it. The service at this particular restaurant is always polite and professional — every server wears the same black-T-shirt-and-black-pants getup — and the food is moderately priced and well-prepared. The salad bar is a sight to see — those used to paltry salads or the insipid salad bars found in other restaurants will bask in the glory that is the Ruby Tuesday salad bar. Not only is there a ton of salad-worthy items to choose from, they’re all fresh and tasty, and wilted items are removed immediately. I started dining at Ruby Tuesday every so often with my family back when I was an elementary school kid, and even then I thought that RT’s salad bar was the greatest thing ever. My thoughts haven’t changed today. I usually order the same thing when I come here: the Alpine Burger. This yummy concoction features mushrooms and Swiss cheese. They’ll prepare the burger any way you like it — eating burgers that have the consistency of hockey pucks does not happen at RT — and it comes with a side of fries that you can have renewed, in unlimited quantities, free of charge. Therefore, if you want to eat 10 side orders of fries, you can do so without paying the price(monetarily, so to speak). And this meal only costs around $ 8, which is pretty damn good these days. The RT of my childhood featured back-in-the-day music and bright, festive Tiffany lamps hung over every table. They’ve since done away with the lamps, and the music is more modern, but still audible without being disturbing. I do wish they’d kept the lamps, though. They were fun, and the lighting now — at least in the Poughkeepsie location — is very subdued. I hate that, but I have to admit that it’s not so subdued that you can’t see what you’re eating. Each time I’ve come here, the place has a quiet, adult vibe — yes, there have been people with kids here — after all, it’s located in the mall — but I never felt as though the place was overrun with strollers and yelling toddlers and whatnot. Let’s face it, a lot of these chain restaurants are family places, and you oftentimes end up sharing your dinner space with the screaming baby at the next table and the baby’s parents, who ignore the poor thing and continue eating as though nothing’s happening. I like kids, but I go out to lunch/dinner to relax, not to feel as though I’m on an episode of «Jon and Kate Plus 8.» Ruby Tuesday is a family-friendly restaurant that doesn’t let the kids take over, and that’s a good thing. All in all, I really like Ruby Tuesday, and I really like the Ruby Tuesday in Poughkeepsie. The food is good, the prices are low and the staff is really pleasant and accommodating. It’s a nice dining experience, and all of the other chain restaurants in America can take a lesson from the way in which they conduct themselves.
