Excellent beef kabob. Veggies are good. Desserts are tasty. The standard gyro fare is consistent. Chili dogs are good but sometimes the bread is over done. My kids love the fries and seasoning. I am a repeat consistent customer — good value play.

You want Greek food? You want fresh local cut lamb and fries that will make you wanna dance like a Greek? Well this is your place and you can find this place right around the corner. Don’t be scared is the cashier sounds like he is yelling at you no he is just Greek. My only problem is the fact that they do not have good portion sizes either there’s to little meat or to little fries but still cheap prises. That’s why I give this place 4 stars

I’m a fan. You can get tasty gyro combos for a pretty affordable price. And there are lots of other things you can get as well, like spanish pies, baklava, etc. You can also order chicago style hotdogs oddly enough. Sometimes I get a gyro with fries, and sometimes I get a mini gyro with a spanish pie, or two mini gyros. All of those combos come with a drink(free refills). The food tastes great, and it’s fast and convenient. I’ve never used the drive through, but going inside and getting food doesn’t take long either. A nice place to go satisfy a gyro craving.

Went in to get some Greek gyro. Got there 8:35pm not knowing that they closed at 9pm. They told me that I could do take out or eat outside. Bummer, there goes my business with them. Customer service today=zero. Sorry.

So yummy! I love their chicken pita. I’m a stickler on cucumber sauce and this place has very good sauce! Their pita bread is soft, the chicken is tender, and their fries are delicious. I almost always use the drive thru and service is generally friendly and quick. Maybe someday I’ll try more than the limited menu items I’ve had, but it’s hard to go there and not get what you know is really, really good! Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious, quick, cheap Greek food.

Went to Greek Express in Powell, OH I wanted to order large Gyro a #4 but the #9 looks like a #4 on the board. I made the wrong order and when it came out I informed the worker he just said sorry and walked away. Good food terrible service recovery.

Terrible food. Very bland. We ordered salads and gyros. It tasted Like the McDonald’s of greek food. Staff was eating while preparing food. When I told them that the food was bad, they said that their recipe hasn’t changed. Didn’t offer to remake anything or refund the money I’d spent.

The fries are SOGOOD!!! Crispy and potatoy, you must try it! The gyros and hummus is also very good. Definitly worth a visit.

The gyro’s are really good, but the fries are better! Great fast food option when you’re in the mood for something different than the typical burger and fries. Not sure that’s I’d recommend the chicken gyro, I remember it being sort of bland.

A Greek restaurant with a drive thru? By Jove, it works! Greek Express is a little less authentic to the more refined palatte, but I will take this anyway. Not every town HAS a Greek place, so the fact Powell has one, which saves me an excruciating trip down Sawmill is a major plus in the convenience book. The Gyros are pretty basic and filling. They have three sizes mini, regular and JUMBO. JUMBO will leave you with a sore gut and gluttonous regret. It is A LOT of food. I mean… A LOT. They also serve some desserts here as well, but they were pretty meh and nothing to rave about. Prices here are pretty decent for the meal you get. The food here is basic and your run of the mill Greek fast food. This place is great as a lunch destination, or whenever you need a quick bite. My only qualm is that it is HOT in there. Could we get a little AC out in the dining area?! Damn. So. there you have it. If you want simple Greek food and don’t feel like traveling for ions and fighting traffic, then Greek Express will satisfy that need for all you Powell-inians.

Greek Express is one of my favorite options for those nights when we don’t feel like cooking, but we don’t necessarily feel like going out to a restaurant. Tonight I had the falafel greek salad and an order of onion rings. The salad was smaller than I remembered, but it had lots of tomato and cucumber and a surprising amount of falafel(I think six) on it, and it came with their house dressing which is creamy and delicious. I’m pretty sure the falafel and the onion rings were from frozen, but I liked them anyway. They have good gyros here too, and you can get combo meals without fries which is nice. This place is quick, cheap and different than any other fast food place around and pretty much everything on the menu comes with veggies so I can pretend its healthy-ish :)

Okay, I’m going to have to give four stars because this is a great option for fast food. I mean, I’ve never been inside, so I can’t even offer a rating for anything other than fast food here! And as far as that goes, I feel much better about it than most alternatives. I have two young kids who love their schedule, and once in a while I’m caught with no plan for the next meal due in 10 minutes. I will not feed them McDonald’s(etc.). I don’t care what you feed your kids, but I’m not doing it. Subway is an option if you don’t mind hauling the kids in to get the food. I get anxious when I realize I’m going to have to come up with something edible from a drive-thru for my children. It really, really bugs me. So I’m pretty grateful that Greek Express is an option and my kids love it. We’ve only stopped a few times, so we’re still not fully familiar with the menu, but we’ve had the vegetarian pitas(veggie gyros) and the tzatziki sauce is awesome. The pitas are awesome, too, although admittedly not a health food. I’ll still take it over most alternatives. The hummus is not the greatest, but the pitas are so good it doesn’t really matter. The spinach feta pie is good, too. And I didn’t hear any complaints the one time we tried the fries… Also, the service has been incredibly friendly, and they’ve never made a mistake with our order. Again, I will happily come here any day when I need a quick meal!(The kids actually request it, too, although they tend to say«Gyro Express»)!

It’s hard for me to give Greek Express an accurate rating. I would say that it is a 3.5, but of course I can’t select a half star. I go here when I need a quick fix for lunch. The drive through makes it a great alternative from the other fast food around the area. The prices are reasonable, and it is only $ 1 to get a bigger gyro, which is a lot bigger. At the drive thru they do often have a hard time hearing you, but they seem to get the order correct. As for the food, everything seems fresh and I enjoy my chicken gyro. I eat here about once a week for lunch.

Came here for a very quick, order and inhale lunch one day. The staff was very nice and the food was just your run of the mill Americanized Greek food. I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to go here as it’s nothing special, but if I ever find myself in the area with a hankering for some Greek food I won’t hesitate to stop.

I really enjoy this place. It is small with limited seating and décor, and it can be hot inside during the summer if you want to eat in, but it is not really trying to be an eat in place so much in my opinion. It seems to do well with the drive through window and that is the route we usually take to get food here. My wife enjoys the salads and the gyros but I am all about the gyros. They have a number of sizes with each providing an ample meal for the price. In my experience across about two dozen visits, the meat is fresh and flavorful, the lettuce and tomato is good quality and that sauce is pleasant and tangy. I often get an order of hummus which I think is very good and the bread is always fresh. I understand the comment on the fries, as most Greek places do have the larger soggier fries and they have their desireable qualities. However, I think the fries here are fantastic. They have always(not sometimes, always) come out fresh and hot and very crispy. Crispy like the way McDonald’s fries used to be when they cooked them in beef fat. I think they could use a bit more seasoning to make them even better, but I can attest that my son who is indifferent to McDonald’s fries(which are still pretty good) starts eating these fries right out of the bag on the way home. Another thing, the staff is always very friendly and the service through the drive through window has always been very fast and the order’s accurate. Drive by and give it a try.

I have fallen for this family owned business, especially when I am looking for quick Greek meal. I love their greek salads and usually get the gyro salad. Terrificly sized portion. Competitively and reasonably priced. They offer three different gyro sizes as well. The pita bread has always been fresh. The staff have always been terrific about answering questions and very gracious. They do have a nice size eat-in area. I’ve never seen the placed filled up to where you could not get a table. Unique is that they offer a drive-through service for a gyro shop. Yeah — definitey a fan here.

Mediterranean food is so personal, what one person likes another hates and vice versa. Is Greek Express the more authentic Greek food ever? No, but I think for a fast food experience that is a pretty darn good. I always get the chicken gyro and my little girl gets the chicken and rice. The pita is always fresh and soft and I really enjoy the gyro sauce. The fact that it is close to my house just makes it that much better.

My husband and I really like this place for a quick meal. I don’t believe they have much indoor seating, if any at all. We always do the drive through. You get a ton of food for not a lot of money. The fries are really good.

Pros: Accepts Credit Cards Drive Through Service Cons: The food is not that great. I’d rather spend or drive a little more and get something more delicious and authentic. Review: I am usually a fan of The Gyro Shoppe on Henderson road. What I am not a fan of – especially during the horror that is a Midwestern Winter – is the drive. I live by the zoo and I was interested in getting my Gyro fix closer to home. I decided to stop by the Greek Express on Powell road this week. The menu looks appetizing. I will say, the prices are pretty much identical to the Gyro Shoppe. A soft drink, fries and mini-gyro(which is still plenty of Gyro) was 4.99. Usually when I think of Greek food fries I think of droopy French fries that still have their skin and are DELICIOUS. Not so much the case here. The fries were sort of dry and seemed like the generic fries you could buy at the grocery store. If that’s your thing, you won’t be disappointed. The gyro itself had me saying Oops instead of Opa. There was really no flavor. The meat was dry. I still finished it because, hey, food. But I was unsatisfied when I completed my meal. If something is going to be horrible for your body the least it can do is make your tummy happy. The only reason I will not give a one-star is because of the service, I will say, was FANTASTIC. The staff is attentive and enthusiastic. Also, they accept credit cards, which is a plus. If only great service meant great food!
